Drift Inn to this classic and charming beach cottage with all the comforts of home, where you'll enjoy easy access to the beach just 350 feet away.

Located five lots back from the Atlantic, Drift Inn offers a great location, only 800 yards from the fishing pier and near plenty of eateries and scenes. The screened porch and grill provide plenty of reasons to stay outside, as does the rooftop crow's nest with breezy ocean views. There are also two small decks at the back of the home for extra sunbathing opportunities.

Inside, everyone in the family will appreciate the three TVs, three VCRs, two DVD players, stereo/CD player, and high-speed WiFi. The open living/dining/kitchen area provides ample space to spread out. At the end of the day, retire to one of the three comfortable bedrooms.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Beach Trip

A great place to head back to after a fun day at the beach! The crows nest is roomy and offers a nice view. The screened porch was perfect for our morning coffee hour. The only hang-up is the two back burners on the stove do not seem to work, so plan on easy meals or eating out at the many restaurants in Avon!

Horrible Stay; Never Again!

The house could’ve been a lot cleaner. As we stayed over the a full week, you could tell the house was not cleaned thoroughly and we found trash in and outside the house. To finish out the week, we ran into an ant problem and no one from Vacasa never followed up. For the price, it was a rip off and totally disappointed.

Enjoyable Stay

Other than the weather, our trip was enjoyable. The Drift Inn is quaint and cozy. Enjoyed a good read on the screened deck while it rained was relaxing and comfortable. The only real issue is that the home is surrounded by overgrown trees (hard to get that Ocean View) and covered... I mean COVERED, in Poison Ivy. Also, the "fish cleaning" area could be tidied up.... the last people who stayed there, put their fish mess in the trash can but never took it to the road to be picked up so we smelled dead fish until we realized where it came from. Other than that, very accomodating.

The home was okay.

Our stay did not start good. The code to the home did not work. Then once in the microwave was dirty. The cog foot was not clean. The floor was not swept or mopped. The shower curtain was filthy. The carpets had not been vacuumed. The shower head outside was rusted. The bedspread smelled of cigarette smoking. We called and everything was fixed the next day.

Old & needs repair

It was a place to sleep with a convenient location. Property at the very least needs a once-over in repairs, but really needs a full remodel since it's 1970's build: -back right burner not working -oven light not working -light bulb missing from middle bedroom lamp -light bulb out in right bedroom ceiling fixture -couch is so old that the cushions are a moot-point, may as well just sit on the wood frame -bunk bed ladder is not firmly attached (really should have a rail along bed as well) -double-door door knob needs adjusting -floors are incredibly uneven; replace sub-floor -outlet by couch crackles and sparks when a plug is inserted -many outlets are so worn that plugs fall out of them; electrical wiring should be checked by a professional -right bathroom plumbing was leaking under the house -new carpet or just do LVP (the carpet is old and just feels gross) I'm kicking myself for not booking the other property I'd been looking at, but it was gone in a day so I was left with this. If we come back to the OBX, I would not rent this house again.

Nice clean home with the essentials

Home is conveniently located in Avon. Kitchen was nice with everything we needed for the week. It was also nice to have some starter supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) already in the bathrooms when we got to the house. The furniture is nice, but I would just note that you'll probably be uncomfortable if you prefer to sit on something more plush. Laundry setup is good. Biggest reason for a 4-star rating rather than 5-stars is that one of the bunk beds had a broken ladder which could have been dangerous had we not noticed before any of the kids tried to climb up. To Vacasa's credit, we contacted them about this and they would have sent someone out while we were there to address the issue had we needed them to (we didn't, as we only needed to use 3 of the 4 bunks). There was also a nail sticking out of one of the feet on the dining room table which one of us scraped our foot on. Lastly, I would say it oversells the crow's nest a little bit to boast about the ocean views. The crow's nest is a nice place to go up and look up at the stars at night and hear the ocean off in the distance, or maybe to read a book. But there isn't much ocean to see from there, just a greatly limited view of what you can see of it between houses. I'm not meaning to focus more on negatives than positives, though. Overall we really enjoyed the house, and assuming that the couple of small maintenance things are addressed we would consider staying in it again if we returned to Avon on a future vacation.

Getting In

We were locked out to begin with...after several calls to closed office, the OBR lady got us connected with local person who remotely got us in...have stayed there for several years, always helpful. Was afraid big guys would not be as personable...they were!!!

Primetime was an amazing property. We were a little hesitant on booking a home without a private pool, but with the community pool close by and the fact that we stayed Oceanfront, it was well worth not having the swimming pool. There was no issues at all. It was a nice and relaxing vacation not having to worry about small, silly things. The views were stunning. Thank you Outer Beaches Realty! We will definitely see you next year! Would like to re-book this home, but I believe we will need a bigger one next year.
