House on the Hill Minutes Minutes From Kendall Yards and Downtown Spokane
A beautiful turn of the century home thoughtfully remodeled yet has kept it's charm of yesteryear. Located in the up and coming Kendall Yards Area, you can walk to all the best parts of Spokane and the breathtaking Spokane Falls. Just minutes from restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, bars, an upscale grocery store and the Centennial Trail. Parks and downtown Spokane are all within an easy and flat 15 minute walk. The apartment is one of three units in the property.
Cute little one bedroom place close to breweries, tasting rooms, and restaurants. Quick access to centennial trail near Kendall Yards. Riverfront park and downtown both walkable via pathways and bridges across the river.
Fun space within walking distance of downtown. Dog friendly was a huge plus. Felt kind of secluded, which is nice, but you do share the building with other units so it isn't a standalone house like the listing insinuated. Still, would gladly stay here again!
Our stay was great, my husband and I are traveling to Spokane 1-2 a month for my husbands EMT/firefighting training and when my husband would come back from training he would go straight to the very comfortable cloud like bed!
The property is walking distance to lo at bar & restaurant as well as riverfront park!
Definitely will stay again
Went to Spokane for two nights, three days, since my daughter was serving food at the Lilac Festival. She has a 6 month old Siberian Husky puppy and asked us to watch it during her shifts serving. We needed a place relatively close that allowed pets. This location was perfect. Easy 15 minute walk on the Centennial Trail to downtown Riverside Park. The unit was clean and spacious for us two plus the dog. My daughter stayed one night and the couch hide a bed worked perfectly and was pretty comfortable per her words. There is at least two other units but heard very little noise from them. It would be nice if the yard was completely fenced in so dogs could run a bit. Driveway is a little tight, but we had no issues with our Nissan Rouge parking. I would stay here again, for sure!
Les points faibles : Emplacement et exactitude de lâannonce
Nice place in a sketch neighborhood
The house itself is nice and comfortable. It has been remodeled and has modern appliances and flooring. With the following comments in mind, we would stay there again if the price remains competitive.
The renter should be made aware that there are three separate dwelling units in the house, so it is a triplex and not technically a house as advertised. The units are completely separate and accessible only from the outside. The property is right across the street from a soup kitchen/food bank/other(?), and in an area of town not known for its safety. We felt safe, however, as there are security cameras and lights on all night outside the building.
Noise from other renters was apparent. The laundry is out back. The driveway is very steep, narrow, and should not be considered useable for most vehicles, except maybe a small SUV. Ground and side clearance is the reason. That said, there is parking on the street, and was available during our stay. Finally, and because it is a triplex built from a house that was divided, there is no thermostat control over the temperature in the unit. There was, however, a space heater that assisted with heat. Not sure how cooling in the summer is handled? The bed was nice, although the mattress creaks.
Again, we would stay in the future, provided it remains price competitive.
