Great beach vacation at Family Tides

Family Tides was a great home for our beach vacation! We have stayed at Cinnamon Beach many times over the years. The home was everything that was described and pictured. We were a family of 5 adults and 3 children, plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely book again!

Great location, beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Family Tides. We had plenty of room for our family and enjoyed the great outdoor space - screened porches and pool area. The kitchen was very well-stocked and the whole house was beautifully decorated. The neighborhood amenities and proximity to the beach were ideal. We would definitely recommend this house and hope to return again soon.

The house was clean, beautiful and spacious! Guests ranged in age from 15-50 and everyone had a great time. We would stay again in this beautiful neighborhood.

Property was very nice. Several things were not up to par but location was great. Not up to par - TV in downstairs family room didn't work, pool needed cleaning, and the sand bank to the beach was difficult.

Fabulous Family Home

The home is so beautifully decorated and well-appointed. The proximity to the beach and community pool is great, however, we rarely used the community pool because the one in the backyard is so fabulous! It has the most beautiful sunset views over the lake. The layout of the home is wonderful, particularly for a large family group. There’s plenty of space for some to play in the pool, some to game, some to watch TV, and some to nap. Speaking of napping, the beds are SO comfortable. The kitchen is open to the living space and the lanai offers additional dining space. We did not eat out once, and instead took advantage of all the house has to offer. We HIGHLY recommend this vacation home!

Very nice amenities! Beds were comfortable and nice open floor plan. The decorating was too personalized and non-beachy. Also more basic supplies could/should be included: small shampoo, basic cooking spices (salt/pepper) etc. We definitely enjoyed our time there

Very accommodating to our large group

We had two families of 4 each staying in this house and it more than accommodated our group (17+ and up), with plenty of space for all of us. We had what we needed in the kitchen and the living room also fit all of us. The view overlooking the pool to the lake is beautiful, with a couple of otters sighted across the lake just about everyday we were there. The neighborhood is quiet with a very easy, short walk to the beach. The only drawback is the beach has large rock formations that prevent any type of skimboarding and wakeboarding type of activities, which we were unaware of. This was our first time at Cinnamon Beach, so don't know if it was just in this particular area or if Cinnamon is known for this. Fortunately we had the pool at the house. Overall great vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately we were only here for a few days (heading back from Disneyworld). Would love to come back and spend a full week. House has everything you need and in great condition. Great location with a nice pool, and screened in deck. When we rented house in January it was listed as a 12 person house, then it switched to 10 person, not sure why. Has 8 beds in 5 bedrooms, so it will sleep more than 10. Highly recommend this house and hope to come back.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: when i rented the vacation home in September/2023 it had 3 king suites unfortunately the home only had 2 king suites. decor was changed and would have preferred the "beach" theme. after a few attempts and leaving messages i was never contacted but given excuses. the home was lovely and my family enjoyed it. however i do think there is an electrical issue. light above the dinette dims off and on possibly when the half bath toilet is flushed? should not be causing a power surge. possibly the house is not grounded properly. also the same with the main king suite bathroom light. queen bed on third floor is very soft which caused sleepless nights. all bathrooms fans are extremely dirty. for this price i think all paper products should be supplied along with dishwasher soap and laundry detergent. the pool was marvelous.

Family Vacation

Probably the best equiped kitchen and beach chairs etc.The only area that we saw not kept up was the landscape, weeds taken over the flower beds and the pool area. The pool had some mole growing in it too.It just made the home look not cared for. the rust on the outside by the front door wasbad too. There were spider webs and bugs over the front door and front porch which was not very nice to go through to enter the front door. It should have been cleaned.

Great House-Great Location

The house is great for a large group. It’s spacious, well layed out, and homey. We enjoyed a huge amount of time on the screened in porch eating, playing cards and drinking coffee. The pool area is nice and has good amenities, however we had an issue with some sort of snail-like animals growing/attaching all along the pool walls and bottom so we had 3 days where we couldn’t use our pool at the house. It did get treated, but poor communication when I contacted them. It was an unusually chilly week and we were told to use the heated clubhouse pools while ours was being treated. Unfortunately, the clubhouse pool was not heated. And when I asked the on site manager I was told her pool guy had gone home and her other pool guy was on vacation and she didn’t know how to turn it on. Even the next day it was not heated so that was disappointing. Overall we had a great time and would return.

Family Celebration For Three Generation’s

Our Adult daughter’s and their husbands loved it just as much as the grands! Three generations under one roof had a splendid time! The Beach was close and very clean. The poolside adult area and family area was well thought out❤️ Shopping was very close to the gated community. The workout facility was used as well. Overall, we felt very safe and extremely comfortable here. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting a resort feel away from home! Thank you for your Hospitality!-Marla & BillGranger, Indiana

Fantastic Rental for large Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place for our Family! It worked well having Master suites on all floors. My kids loved the bunk room. There was tons of beach towels at the house which was convenient! They also have chairs for the beach a wagon to carry it down and boogie boards and floats. They do not have a Keurig Coffee maker, its old school so plan accordingly. House was VERY CLEAN and was maintained very well. There is a beach service that will set up a cabana for you daily for $75/day or a better weekly rate which was fantastic for us. This is our 6th year to come to Cinnamon Beach and this was my favorite house we have stayed at!

October Family Get A Way

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is my 4th time renting from Cinnamon Beach Vacations and staying in this community. We love the community, the 2 community pools and the spacious homes, many of which allow us to bring our dog, including Family Tides. The location of this home is perfect - on the water, on a cul de sac and with an empty lot to one side. It was an easy walk to the community pools and to the beach. We stayed 3 short nights. There were 7 adults, 3 kids and a baby. The house was plenty spacious and well equipped for our stay including everything we needed for the beach - toys, boogie boards, chairs, towels and even a beach buggy although one of the wheels was broken. The home was nicely decorated and very comfortable, including beds. Pool was perfect size and had the ledge built in as shown in pictures. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying it. While the pictures are good, the house is much nicer in person. I would recommend that a fan be added on the patio (the wiring appears to be there) and outside lighting to light the pool area when it is dark. We did experience several bedrooms that had large palmetto bugs and spiders, most already dead. Outside balconies needed cleaning also. The home had 2 sets of washer / dryers which allowed us to help speed up the housekeeping process for the next guest. Crystal at Cinnamon Beach Vacations was fantastic when we needed a few maintenance items and prompt to reply! I would absolutely rent this house again.

Last Vaca before school starts.

Had a great week in newly built rental. Layout of house great with one big Master on main (helped with handi-capped friends), nice laundry room, big kitchen, TV room and pool/patio all on first floor. Pool was great (needed with high heat!) and management helps us get pool guys in mid week to fix skimmer that was stuck. Grill had gas! Lower and second level screened patios were great, but I’d suggest adding ceiling fans to enjoy the spaces even more. Second floor stacked washer dryer smelled horrible and we didn’t use it due to that. I believe it’s likely because it’s in a closet and the washer door gets closed which is really bad for front loader machines. I would have appliance company do a deep clean in washer and maybe remove closet door and leave labels to keep washer door open between use? Bunk room adjoining queen room was great for several 16 year olds! AC had a hard time keeping things cool on the second and third floor due to high heat outside which made it a little rough. Maybe offer extra fans? Only about half of ceiling fans in the house worked and maintenance couldn’t figure out why? Kitchen was well stocked and used every day! We cooked a lot to stay away from restaurant crowds due to Covid. Big issue is kitchen faucet had horrible water pressure which made it extremely difficult to wash dishes. Half bath also had trickle pressure in faucet. Some sinks and showers had good pressure though. Maybe being mew construction there might be debris that got down certain pipes? Management (Chrystal) was fantastic and very prompt to answer our texts/calls and she did her best to fix things. Faucet, etc will get fixed, just not during our week there. Would definitely rent this house again as I’m sure the issues I listed will get fixed promptly by Management team. House has about 5-6 beach chairs, several boogie boards, pool noodles (we left a few pool floats), two in pool umbrellas (that helped a lot with heat and our friend that had MS. House also has new beach cooler and beach buggy. Very convenient Publix close by! We wish the house book/binder showed routes for path biking as we weren’t quite sure? We may have rented bikes otherwise? House has massive supply of beach towels! Main TV instructions in house folder need to be updated as they aren’t correct anymore. Only way we could use TV is via screen sharing with Roku. I bought and left extra ping pong paddles and balls for the house! FYI there is an otter that lives in the lake!

Wonderful Vacation at Family Tides

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay a Family Tides. The entire home, garage, and outdoor area were very clean and well cared for. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We all had wonderful restful night sleeps. The kitchen had all we needed for the stay and more! The outdoor screened in patio area was a favorite spot for eating and playing cards and an afternoon nap as the summer rain storms rolled in. The garage had so many beach items to borrow-chairs, umbrella, cart, boogie boards, and balls. The walk to the beach took 5 minutes. We loved the location of the home-easy walk to the pool or beach. The beach was beautiful and the waves were just right. We all enjoyed our time at the beach. The pool area was also just right. With the pool umbrellas it was easy to the enjoy the pool all day long and not worry about the sun. We would definitely return!!
