This was such a cozy place to stay! The driveway was super steep but definitely not a dealbreaker considering we have a 4wd. We will be staying here again! Loved everything about this place!
Property was nice and as advertised, a little rough around the edges but overall had a nice stay. 15 min from downtown gatlinburg which was nice. Driveway is steep so be prepared if you book. Overall if looking for a nice place to stay that is not right in gatlinburg or pigeon forge location is perfect and quiet. Would recommend for a family.
Driveway is very steep...hard to walk up and down. Bring a 4wd vehicle. Cabin is nice, fun game area for kids. Fun for a family of 9. Could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival but we tidied up it was good. Enjoyed our stay!
The property was just as described. Location was great and the cabin was fantastic. There were no "check out" instructions that we could find and the puck for the air hockey game was missing, but other than that it as the perfect get away.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great location!! The cabin was very clean and you can tell a lot of attention to detail went into the design. The kid's sleeping area in the loft was genius! Included TVs with different movie options. Would definitely recommend the Yeti!
The cabin was beautiful and accommodated all of our needs. The loft area was loved by our grandchildren as well as the hot tub. The cabin was clean and had a pretty view. The only negative was the sofa bed was not comfortable and the driveway was extremely steep.
The views were great. The gas fireplace worked quite well and was very pretty, but there were some things that could be improved--like the water smell and taste, the refrigerator, the crazy steep driveway, and the lack of kitchen tools.
This property was very nice and served our needs well. The kids loved the hot tub and the upstairs games. The view from the porch was nice, typical for the region. The area was quiet yet close enough to all the attractions and national park. Property was well maintained and stocked with all the basic necessities. The drive up to the property was intimidating at first but you get use to it and in a way it becomes part of the whole vacation experience provided you have a well maintained vehicle with good tires.
I would recommend this property to friends and family.
We had a wonderful time meeting up with family! Everything was clean & comfortable. My 9 & 10 year old boys loved the play room area upstairs. The âkid cavesâ were a huge hit! We loved sitting on the porch and it was close enough to visit Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. That incline driveway up to the house is no joke! 4WD needed for sure! Would love to stay here again.
We stayed at Yeti Peak for Spring Break. Overall the place is very nice and accommodations were good for my family. The driveway is a bit scary, and I would not want to drive it in bad weather. We used the grade finder on our truck, the grade of the hill is 20%. But, it is a house in the mountains, so just be prepared. The driveway did not keep us from coming and going. The only complaint I have is that there is no ice maker, nor was there any trays to make ice. So you might want to stop at the Family Dollar down the road and get some before checking in.
Yeti Peak is a great cabin. We really enjoyed the xbox, air hockey table, and hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked and even has extra spices and oils for cooking, a major plus! The view was nice, albeit somewhat obstructed by all the trees. The driveway is a little daunting but we easily managed in our SUV. You are also very close to the arts and crafts district if you want to check that out.
Only a couple negatives: The cabin is pretty far removed from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We felt as though we drove quite a bit to get where we wanted to go. If you are interested in hiking trails in the park you are a good 45 minutes - 1.5 hours away. We were really excited about the multi-cade, as it had a ton of games, but the controls don't work that well in most games. This resulted in quite a bit of frustration so we didn't use this after the second day. Unfortunate, as we were really looking forward to using it.
Cabin was nice but had a lot of problems from the beginning
The property is nice but the had lots of problems from the beginning.. grill and chairs were all flipped over and grill was broke but property manager did make it right brought a new grill.. the gas fire place would not work they came and fixed it then went right back out and there was black soot all over it and in the house like there had been a fire.. the dishes up in the cabinets had spider webs all over had to wash dishes before even using them.. there was already some trash piled on the cans outside when we got there.. the lights and the kids rooms did not work and one was melted in half and was really hot to the touch.. the hot tub water was brown upon arrivalâŠseveral of the remotes in the cabin had no batteries
I loved the cabin please don't get me wrong but, the wifi work when we 1st got there and 30 mins later it went out. I text the number for help and the response was awesome. The problem was no one ever came. I text to let them know the hot tub was cold and I was told a ticket was put in, but again no one ever came. I fixed the hot tub myself by messing around. Saturday around 4/5 the direct TV went out. At this point without the wifi we couldn't use Netflix or anything but we could watch regular TV. Now that the Direct TV was out we couldn't watch anything. I can with a 2yr old, 6yr old, 10 and 13 yr old. It was terrible without wifi or TV. I was told someone would come and no one ever came. It would be nice to at least get accommodations for the inconvenience of our trip. Other than that it was lovely.
Overall really loved the cabin. It was very clean and well stocked. Previously read reviews about the driveway. It was very manageable during dry conditions. On the last day of our stay it rained and we struggled getting up the hill and slid down a couple of times. If it wasn't for the driveway we'd make it our go to cabin everytime we go back to the mountains. The water also smelled strange when bathing which wasn't a huge deal, but it was just surprising. The ignitor for the fire pit was missing so we couldn't use it during our stay. We also replaced all the batteries in the remotes because most of them were dead and wouldn't work with the tvs. Again, not a big deal, but we just didn't want to have to coordinate with someone to come fix them since we were planning on going in and out a lot during our stay. It is very conveniently located from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was only a 15 minute very scenic drive to either location. The game room upstairs was great and the kid's sleeping nooks were very cute! Lots of great amenities to make it feel more like home during our stay. The view was amazing and we enjoyed sitting outside enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. It has been our favorite cabin experience thus far in the Smokies.
The water that comes into this cabin stinks. Wether you're taking a bath/shower or washing clothes, IT SMELLED BAD!! And that goes for the hot tub too.
Only other issue we had was the gas grill on the deck was leaking propane. And that it took 3 calls/ 2 full days for someone to fix it. When I went too bbq Saturday night it was broke and was not fixed until Monday afternoon. So instead of being able to use it the last 3 nights of our stay like we had planned, and also bought meat for, we only could use it the last night.
