Third Beach Getaway

Lovely stay

Wonderful home!

This is such a cozy, comfortable, well-appointed home that feels immediately relaxing, with the deck overlooking the large back yard, the nice furniture and art, the well-equipped kitchen, and more. We had a wonderful stay and will return when we visit our family in the future!

Great location for hiking trails and beaches; easy drive to the hustle and bustle of Newport

We needed a place to accommodate 3 couples for a family wedding in Newport. We all enjoy the outdoors - the Norman Bird Sanctuary, with amazing hiking trails, is right next door! The property is comfortable and homey. The home is only about 6 miles from the historic St. Mary's Catholic Church, and even closer to beaches and the Cliff Trail. This was my first Vrbo stay, and the hosts answered all of my questions. Truly enjoyed our visit.

Another great week at the third beach road House

This house is spacious and comfortable. It is exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen as we like to eat meals in. Another highlight is the deck overlooking the backyard. It is a great place to have a drink and enjoy a sunset each evening. we are always impressed at how quiet Middletown is. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We totally enjoyed this property. It is well-appointed and stocked, clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It is close to the beaches and downtown Newport. We will be staying here again next year!

Wonderful and at the Third Beach home

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Third Beach Road retreat. The house was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet and secluded. The house was outfitted with everything you would need to cook and enjoy the comforts of home. I would love to stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone interested.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was close to everything we needed to be near and we had plenty of room to all be in one place but not fall all over one another. The fittings and fixtures (kitchen gear, bathroom hooks, laundry supplies) were well thought-out. Instructions and suggestions were complete and easy to understand. Overall, a great time!

Spacious cottage in great location!

Great space in quiet area near beaches, bird sanctuary, berry farm and much more. Newport only 15 minutes away. Anthony’s Seafood is ten minutes away-amazing lobster roll and more! Great day trip was the Beavertail lighthouse! A great week. 😊

The property is absolutely wonderful -not only well furnished but beautifully set up with kitchen, laundry and towels etc. it is very clean. It’s close to Second and Third beaches and stores. Very quiet neighborhood. The weather was awful the entire time but we still enjoyed our vacation 😊

Just a perfect stay

We have been renting houses via VRBO for years and can easily say this was one of the best properties we have been to. House was perfect had literally everything you would need to feel at home and let us simply grab some food at Shaw’s and then we were ready to go. Location is perfect if you know Newport. Quiet and just feels like a real getaway. We went back and forth to second and third beach everyday. One note is that parking up until 4 each day is only for local residents so if you have a form of transport it is a ten min trip and easy to drop family off and go back and forth. I have an electric scooter and simply ran back and forth was super easy. Plan ahead and this place is perfect. Host was super responsive and we can not ask for more out of a stay. We hope to be back soon and highly recommend to everyone.

The best girls weekend!!!

Friends for almost 30 years, we gathered from North And South shores and Cornwall, England. Fabulous home, perfectly situated to so many attractions and Newport. Farm stand for pumpkins and pies? Check! Gorgeous beach views of a beautiful full moon? Check! Close proximity to Newport for sight, shopping and dining? Check!! Hope to be back again next year! Highly recommend!!!!!! The owners were also extremely welcoming and patient with our first time VRBO questions and lots of info at the home in a booklet which was a great resource.

Just off the Beaten Path

First of all, this was the most difficult time I have had to get the check in code. After several e-mails, I had to contact VRBO for assistance around 48 hours prior to check in. I am a frequent traveler via VRBO, and this was the 1st time that I experienced this. The property itself is lovely. There are a couple of steep steps from porch into living room that elderly people may find challenging. The kitchen is well stocked with bar glassware, however the cooking pans were limited. As we were only going for a long weekend, I had planned only to make breakfasts: blueberry pancakes & an omelet. Several of the cooking pans were coated & scratched. I had to go out and purchase a pan to cook. The plates were also marred with metal scratches from prolonged utensil use. If you are a family. or group it would be challenging to cook. I would recommend the owner invest in a set of quality stainless steel pans & pots, as well as a set of dishes for 8. Additionally, there were plenty of towels, and I appreciate that they were white, as well as the sheets. However, there were 3 towels that had stains on them. I looked for bleach, but there wasn't any. I would recommend bleaching the towels/bedding between rentals. That being said, the house itself was comfortable, a short drive to the beach. It was nice to be out of the hustle & bustle of Newport, but close enough to enjoy that which one chooses. We had a great time walking on 2nd beach, biking on Ocean Drive, and strolling on Cliff Walk. Once these issues are addressed, I would recommend this property, and hope to return, as the location was enjoyable, and the rest of the house appeared clean. I especially enjoyed the artwork hanging throughout the house, and felt like I would like to sit and have a drink with the owner.

Wedding weekend in Newport

Very happy with property. Everything was clean and well stocked. Location was great just a short ride to beach and downtown for all the wedding activities. Would be a perfect place to stay for a summer vacation in Newport!
