This place was perfect. My daughter goes to Carson Newman and her dorm just minutes away. Cherokee lake walking distance. Clean house perfect location. Will stay again for sure.
My father-in-law and husband really enjoyed their stay!!! The house was very charming and full of character. It was a beautiful property. We will be back!
Everything was great. well stocked., Quiet place to stay. Everything worked great. Will stay again next time we fish. Recommend to anyone who likes to fish Douglass Lake or Cherokee Lake as it is convenient to both.
We stayed at Jeannieâs house for a long weekend. It was in a very quiet area which is exactly what we were looking for. Jeannie was very helpful and made sure we got there safe. We werenât planning on spending a lot of time in the house because we had a lot of hiking and exploring to do in Gatlinburg, but the house was very cozy in the evenings when we came back! Definitely a must stay if youâre in the area or traveling around the area!
Jeannie is a wonderful hostess! The 2 bedroom cottage by Cherokee Lake is warm and inviting! Very cozy and totally equipped kitchen to include coffee, filters, creamer and bottled water. Bathroom very clean and she provided any supplies needed. We felt like we were staying with family. Striper fishing was awesome! Great diner 1/2 mile away and house is 1/2 mile from the dam. LOVED this house and East Tennessee! We will definitely be back!
Beautiful house, large property close to the dam and bait store at cherokee lake. Bring a boat or hire Bob Crabtree at striper extreme to guide you. We will definitely stay here again soon.
I was pleased to no end with this beautiful house. It's far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city life to have total quiet but close enough if you had to you could. All the essentials are there. The lake is so close it calls to you. We were blessed to have such a beautiful location to enjoy our long weekend. Highly recommend to anyone. Loved it. :
It is a very peaceful setting. Convenient to the lake access. Loved the house. It's clean, comfortable, and has plenty of room. I would stay here again. Owner is very easy to deal with. There's a dollar general just past the river and a gas station which made picking up forgotten items much easier than going back to town. Also a bait shop within eye sight of the house.
You can't see or hear any water from this place. It's just a house in the country
Tried to hold deposits because I didn't put sheets in a hamper I never saw. And food in the refrigerator. There was only one small trash can and no trash service. The house was full of antique furniture that was very brittle looking. I couldn't relax in this house. Paid for 4 adults but only 2 beds. She expected me to buy 2 air mattresses. But the dishonesty with the deposit was the topper.
Last minute stay for a volleyball camp being held at nearby Carson-Newman University for our daughter. We decided to stay closer to the school rather than make the drive daily for her camp. Jeanne (homeowner) was amazing to work with and even had ice and bottled water for us at the home! Super close to the lake which was an added bonus! Home was beautiful with lots of antiques and charm. Will definitely stay here again as our daughter plans on attending CNU and Iâm sure there will be more weekend trips up to the area!
I am a Nana who loves her grandbabies. I have lived in the Jefferson City area for over 40 years and have seen this city change from a small rural area to a busy suburban city of Knoxville, TN. The Cherokee Lake and Holston River have remained beautiful contants.
