Authentic 100 Year Old Farmhouse, Farm setting in the foothills of the Smokies
Enjoy the beauty of East Tennessee with a stay in this authentic 100 year old farmhouse. Located close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but far enough away to get out of the crowds and traffic. Both Douglas and Cherokee Lakes are close by as well as convenient access to Knoxville and Morristown. Enjoy a peaceful vacation, business trip, or fishing excursion while staying on a working farm surrounded by animals and wildlife.
This property is located on a working farm, so you may see several activities going on during your stay depending on the season. Generally your view will consist of a quiet pasture with cattle grazing and the occasional deer or wild turkey passing through. Plenty of parking is available near the house, we just ask that you do not block access to the barn with your vehicles during the day.
Other things to note: 2.5 miles to I-40 5.5 miles to Douglas Lake 8 miles to Carson-Newman University 12.5 miles to Cherokee Lake 25 miles to Dollywood 27 miles to the University of Tennessee 30 miles to Gatlinburg
Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. It was nice and peaceful and a great location. The owner left a nice basket of food and snacks for us. One small complaint is that there was some sort of alarm chirping loudly at all hours of the day and night, not sure if it was the smoke detector or carbon monoxide or something else.
We throughly enjoyed our stay!! We were in town to visit our college-aged daughter who lives near by. From the basket of goodies to the comfortable beds! Everything was exactly as described in the listing. Friday night consisted of provided making for sâmores around the camp fire. The goodie basket had water flavoring which was perfect for our Saturday on the go. Saturday night consisted of movie watching on the smart TV. Slept so soundly didnât even hear the strong storms roll through. We mentioned several times we have found our âgo-toâ place to stay when we visit the area. Looking forward to the next trip.
Property is perfect as always!! Love that there are always deer in the back field. No steep roads or driveways. Porch is so inviting for morning coffee.
The host was wonderful! We wanted or needed for anything! She stayed in touch with us all weekend! The house was like being at home and so comfortable! Cant wait to come again next year!
Great experience. It was like sitting in my Grandmas house which I cherished growing up. Enjoyed the decor and history behind it. Great place to reflect on importance of enjoying a simple life. As my son was fishing in a big tournament on Cherokee Lake it allowed much needed time with one of my adult granddaughters. Memories made for sure. Thanks again for the hospitality.
We loved the absolutely beautiful farm setting. The home was comfortable and unique. We felt at ease and especially enjoyed the swing on the front porch. The home is the perfect place for relaxing, but close to all the fun that East Tennessee has to offer!
The Puckett House is located in a quiet area just outside of Sevierville. It is out of the way and off the beaten path but it is nestled perfectly for day trips to the Smoky Mountain areas. The house has a cute old farmyard feel to it and is extremely comfortable. The host is attentive and has paid attention to details that matter when you are away from home. Comfortable, convenient, and quaint. Weâd stay again!!
We had a great time at The Pucket House. It was perfect for our stay in northeastern Tenn. Very close to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and the price was great. We stayed there Dec. 29th through Jan 2nd. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to this area, if it was available and we will recommend it to family and friends. Heather Martin was a wonderful host, even though we did not get to meet her in person but was available if we needed her. This house had everything we needed for our stay. Sincerely: Robert Perkins
We love this little house. Very convenient with no steep, narrow roads to get to it. Mrs. Heather is very helpful and responds quickly. Enjoyed watching the deer in the mornings.
We had an absolute great time the house was so clean and it takes you back to your grandparents house with updates . It was fun just relaxing and enjoying time with family.
This house is very clean and cozy, not too far from the interstate and no crazy winding roads to have to endure. Perfect for a quiet getaway, beautiful porch with a great view for morning coffee. Close enough to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville to go do things. This house is wonderful and priced well for the area.
This had the feel of being at grandmas house. Very clean! Outside was beautiful. The porch swing in the morning with coffee was wonderful. We saw deer rabbits and of course cows. Amenities were more than expected. Snacks soups sâmores all provided. We will definitely be back.
This place is wonderful. Far enough away from city to enjoy the country and close enough to drive to enjoy city attractions in Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
We were so happy with everything. It was comfortable for the 7 of us and we also had other friends gather for a nice evening of food and hanging out. The host - Heather is so nice and very easy to reach if you had any questions or issues. I highly recommend staying here and enjoying a Tennessee vacation.
The Puckett House is adjacent to our working farm. Adam is an Agriculture teacher at the high school level and Heather is a Family and Consumer Science teacher at the high school level. Our family farm consist of a beef cattle operation where we also grow sweet corn and fescue hay. We have three children who enjoy farm life in the rural, peaceful area of East Tennessee.
