With the city wall close to everything. Townhouse had everything you needed. So close to city centre.Great little place quite.Would stay again. Recommend a 100%
Overall, a decent spot for a family to stay in York. Great location and quiet neighborhood. Easy to walk everywhere. The property manager was very flexible in allowing us to drop luggage off so we didnât have to carry it around all afternoon and was very responsive. It might not be the most updated apartment, but other qualities win out. Would stay here again.
Great location for city centre.Quiet part of townProperty has a nice layout with bits you need for a weekend stay.Parking for 1 car outside the house. Would definitely recommend
We have stayed here twice now and will definitely be staying again. We all love York anyway and Bishop's court makes it feel like home. So comfortable and cosy đâ€
This property could not have been more conveniently located for enjoying all the sites of York. We stayed here 10 days and the property was very clean and well-equipped. Owners very responsive and helpfulâwe would definitely stay here again.
Lovely house good facilities but a bit chiily in the evenings as there was only 1 storage heater for kitchen and lounge There was a fire but didn't blow out hot air unless we were doing something wrong. Overall excellent would recommend to other parties
Absolutely brilliant location and lovely cosy, comfortable modern home. We all loved staying here, the kids loved their room and their own sofa to sit on â€đ Very comfortable to come back too after a cold walk around the shambles.
Loved this property. Though central, it was a very quiet street, and we all slept well. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean and we felt very much at home. Thank you so much Simon and Elisha. Highly recommend this place đ€đ
A lovely place in the heart of York. Secure parking a definite bonus. Very convenient and comfortable. The owners were great in responding to any requests we had.
Would definitely recommend to friends planning a trip to York.
The property was clean and comfortable and within walking distance of both the city centre and the racecourse. It had everything we needed for our stay. The host was contactable and responded swiftly to any questions. We would definitely look at rebooking if we visit York again in the future. Parking on site was definitely a bonus.
House was exactly as in photos on website. It was clean and tidy with car space right outside the front door. 10 mins walk into centre. Lots of restaurants close by to choose from.
We feel truly lucky to have stayed in such a wonderful place. It was just perfect for the two of us. The welcome package was perfect with tea, coffee, sugar, washing up soap, tea towels. The kettle and toaster worked well and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. The location was amazingâsuch a quick walk to downtown and close to everything that we wanted to do during our stay.
Great location. Quiet. Close to everything. For your information, if you are stair-challenged, there are 3 stairs up from kitchen to living room and another 14 up to 2 bedrooms and 1 toilet upstairs. There is a separate shower with very hot water and plenty of pressure. Beds are 1 double and 2 twins. Very cozy and comfortable and would stay here again. We stayed a week in York. lots to see with day trips. So many pubs and restaurants!
The apartment was within the city walls but away from the busy streets so nice quite nights/mornings.
The beds were very comfortable.
Everything we needed to make breakfast each morning
And the house was clean but more attention could be paid to the carpeting, my husband had a used contact stuck to his foot at one point and we are not contact lens wearers
We enjoyed our stay in York immensely. Everything in the two story apartment was satisfactory, but the description clearly states two bathrooms. Not so. There is one spacious bathroom and one shower. The shower is the only plumbing in the second bath off the main bedroom. No sink, no toilet. The other unsatisfactory issue was the floor at the top of the stair landing and at the bathroom entrance. It squeaked and groaned terribly and could be heard in all parts of the flat. Any movement during the night in the small bedroom or the hall leading to the bathroom was loud enough to wake everyone. The apartment would be great for two adults, but for a family of four, not so much.
Trudi and Dave are both residents of York and have lived here all their lives. We live 5 minutes drive from the house so can be on call should any help be required or problems arise.
