Everything on the property was advertised properly. We had no issues checking in or checking out. The elevators were slow but it is a very tall building and was expected. Everything was clean and we enjoyed the views and the amenities!!
We had an amazing time at the Hyde. This condo is beautiful with amazing views and a wrap around balcony. Condo was clean just as described. We loved having a full kitchen to prepare some of our meals as well as washer/dryer. Highly recommend! Thanks.
We staid here with my husband for 4 days. The apartment is very nice, spacious, location is great. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. We couldnât really enjoy it because of how dirty it was. The floors were sticky, the towels were stinky, the shower cabin was dirty and moldy. The bedding and upholstery were stained. The view from the room was very nice but again we couldnât really enjoy it because of how dirty the windows were, like they havenât been washed for a year or so. Same with the balcony - very nice and spacious but extremely dirty and neglected. At night there were lots of cockroaches chilling on the surfaces and in the cabinets. The internet was very bad, I had to do some work from my laptop and had to go down in lobby because there was no connection. The TV was either broken or very old but we could not use it. Overall, we would recommend this place only if you are willing to reserve 1 day only to get your own cleaning products and clean everything you will be using or touching, then you can enjoy the apartment.
The positive: beautiful view of the ocean and great access to the beach. Restaurant on the 9th floor is great, food is delicious, drinks are good and staff is friendly. The wrap around balcony is awesome
The bad: 3 complaints all within the control of the owner. the place was filthy when we arrived. We had to go to the Walgreens across the bridge to buy a swifter and mop the floors to remove the stickiness from the floors. The swifter wet wipes would come out black after a single pass - I took pictures and sent to the owners. The carpet in the bedroom and the sofa were stained and we wore our shoes the entire time to avoid touching it with our feet. The second complaint is that we were charged 20$ a day for parking (only valet parking is available) and I didnât see that listed anywhere in the advertisement. Lastly, the shower head was broken with bad water pressure.
At a minimum I believe owners should have offered to refund the 120$ in cleaning as we left the place cleaner than how we received it. Disappointing and wonât be staying here again.
Although we loved the property and location, the communication with the property manager and the property managers staff were terrible.
We arrived around 6pm and got settled in. We decided to do dinner out that evening since it was late and we were too tired. Upon arriving back from dinner we noticed we only had one remote for two TVâs, no big deal since the remote could control both TVâs, however there was no remote for the cable box so the tvâs had one channel to watch. Still no big deal at the time because it was late and we were tired. We did notice the toilet seat was broke but figured we would call the next morning have that repaired and the remote for cable box brought up.
Next day we found the safe did not work, the light was out above the shower, and there were not dish towels to hand wash anything. Still, no big deal because we could have those minor things taken care of at some point that day.
Sadly, it took 3 days to get the safe fixed, 4 days to get a cable box remote, and still couldnât get the toilet seat fixed or get the light above the shower changed out. We even asked multiple times to just give us a light bulb and weâd fix it ourselves. Oh, and I was told no dish towels are provided for this unit. I would text in the morning and get a response but then never hear back from anyone. Then I would text again around 2 for a following up and not get any response at all. Iâd text again the next day and get a response hours later stating they would resolve the issues, then never hear back. Iâd text again around 2 or 3 with no response the rest of the day. I finally called and said I want to leave early. We then get a call from the manager asking what they can do to make this right - 5 days later! He called the owner who graciously let us leave one day early and not charge us a cleaning fee. What a joke!
Not to mention, I went back to the property the next day because I set a spa appointment up and while waiting on the elevator (which takes FOREVER) I had small talk with another person staying there at the property. I made the comment how slow the elevators were and she immediately said she would never go back, that her stay has been nothing but a headache. I told her I couldnât agree more! Not sure what she went through but I can only image.
The whole experience over such small items and total lack of communication made this stay not enjoyable. It was just a ridiculous hassle over all.
The property was clean and exactly as the pictures suggested. Elevator in the building is very slow. The owners wanted us to pay extra for the cleaners to come daily, I think the cleaners coming every other day would hv been great. Overall the condo was great.
