I had stayed at the Hyde previously with a group of friends, so I knew the elevator situation. It was horrible trying to get an elevator, especially from the 23rd floor. The unit was nice, however there were 4 adults in the room and only 2 wash cloths and 1 hand towel when we arrived. Since check in is at 4pm, by the time we got in the room and called the management, housekeeping had gone home for the day. It was after lunch the next day before the towels were delivered. We also had problems with the coffee pot leaking but that was just a minor issue. Other than these problems, it was a nice place equipped with what we needed for our stay.
Would highly recommend this suite. View was absolutely gorgeous. Elevators were speedy. Only downfall was the towel service and beach chair service. We were given vouchers for every day, but we werenât allowed at the chairs directly out front of the condo.
When we got to the property and there was no reservation for us. After booking with Vrbo, the property manager emailed me outside of Vrbo with a new set of requirements inconsistent with the terms and conditions we agreed to through Vrbo. They are trying to keep our money.
First, the elevator issue is ridiculous. They are terrible and management has posted only 8 people. I have been in elevators the same size with 15 people. It takes forever to go up or down on the elevators. Second, bar staff by pool is overwhelmed or inattentiv. Three, the staff seems confused all the time. I was there 3 days before they told us we needed wristbands for the pool deck (we had gone there 2 days without a wristband). Room was great but building layout is poor.

Great Stay!
The condo suited our needs perfectly for a few days in Miami with friends. The unit was clean - the beds were very comfortable. Although we didnât use the kitchen - it was fully stocked with supplies.
All in all a great stay! We all had a terrific time.
We liked the apartment very much. It was very spacious and had a fantastic view! The floor could have been cleaned in a better way! We think that the elevators should be divided into floors (ex: Elevator 1 & 2 from 1st to 20th floor, Elevator 3 & 4 form 21st to last floor). There were time that we had to wait almost 5 minutes for the elevator to arrive on our floor, specially in the morning and around lunch time.
We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious new condo at the Hyde. The condo was well situated and fully loaded with high end appliances, comfortable beds and beautiful views. Everything was pretty much hassle free.. easy valet parking and car retrieval, straightforward check-in process, great amenities including gym, bar / restaurant and spa. The pool area was a bit small and crowded compared to other resorts in the neighbourhood but the beach area was fabulous. We would recommend it and go back again soon.
This is a clean, new, spacious two bedroom/two bath apartment with wrap-around balcony and gorgeous views of the beach and the inter-coastal waterway. Rental of the property included use of the resort pools, fitness center and beach access. There were two restaurants, a coffee shop and a small store in the resort. The problem is that, unlike the typical VRBO rental where you deal with the property owner, in this case you deal with a management company. Once the company gets your credit card info they aren't interested in communicating. This is big resort/hotel (The Hyde) and many of the guests who stay here rent directly from the resort and have daily room service available, just as in a traditional hotel. We picked up our keys from the front desk but we were told that any issues we had we were to contact the management company through which we rented the apartment. When we got into the apartment there was no toilet paper, only one towel and no pillow cases on one of the beds. At that point we didn't understand the distinction between renting from the resort and renting from the management company so we grabbed a cleaning person from the hallway who was nice enough to give us two rolls of toilet paper and several towels. Later the front desk scolded us and told us that we needed to go through the management company for anything that we needed. I called the management company and told them about the things that were missing but the only response I got was two days later when someone knocked on the door and gave us two towels (there were 4 of us staying ). The experience here made me appreciated other VRBOs I've rented were the owner checks in with you before your arrival and several times during your stay. I still don't know if we were meant to provide our own linens or if the outfit that cleans the apartment just slacked off. Also, there was a small vacuum cleaner and a broom, but no sponges or dishcloths for keeping the counters and sinks clean. It seems like a high-end rental like this would at least supply a sponge and some single-use packages of dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent (the apartment had a nice dishwasher and a washer/dryer). There was a coffeemaker in the kitchen but it didn't work (no response from the management company when I reported that). Overall, we had a lovely vacation because the beach and the area are so nice, just be aware this is not your typical VRBO experience.
