We truly enjoyed our stay in Fredericksburg - and our VRBO was so comfortable and fun. The guest house had everything we needed, and the best part was sitting on the front porch watching the chickens and horses. The owners were available if we needed anything, and showed us around so we could meet the horses, goats and chickens. We enjoyed our time at the VRBO just as much as downtown Fredericksburg, Enchanted Rock, war museum, and the wildflowers.
My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night visit! Mostly we enjoyed hanging out on the porch, eating breakfast and watching the horses. The beds were very comfortable and all the furnishings were very nice. My boys were very comfortable in the living room on the futon. I definitely recommend Pam's place for a couple or a family of 4.
This property was excellent for a relaxing and quiet long weekend. There are many animals to amuse and we enjoyed them all. It is a little out of town which is just what we wanted. I canât say enough about this beautiful property. The hosts were so nice and very willing to let us interact with goats and horses and dogs and chickens and a kitty! It was great and we would be happy to return any time.
My husband, 2 daughters and I enjoyed a great New Years getaway at the Spinning H. Pam thought of everything, even throws to cozy up with in the evening. We didn't come across anything we needed that wasn't provided. The girls enjoyed running around on the farm and our 4 year old is still talking about the eggs she got right from the chicken coop and brushing Taco the donkey. It was nice to be out in the country while still only a 10 minute drive to Fredericksburg. With family nearby but not enough room to house us, it fit our needs perfectly and we will definitely stay again. I'm already thinking of a girlfriends getaway/ wine trip in the future!

Peaceful and relaxing!
My husband and I have visited Fredericksburg several times, and this is by far the #1 place we have stayed! Close enough to drive into town whenever we chose, but far enough out to feel like we were nowhere near the crowds. No worries about parking or noise from other travelers. Loved the peacefulness of the setting. Enjoyed sitting out on the patio listening to the birds and chickens, and visiting with their donkey and their dog Kaiser. The pumpkin bread was delicious, and we really appreciated the eggs and cinnamon rolls for breakfast our first morning there. The bed was comfortable, and everything we needed was provided. Pam answered any questions we had. We will definitely check to see if this is available the next time we travel to Fredericksburg!
This is a beautiful cottage, wonderfully appointed and decorated very tastefully. Rustic chic! Pam, the owner, was so warm and welcoming when we arrived. She went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met and was thoughtful beyond compare when it came to providing a "care package," which included freshly baked cookies, a bottle of wine, snack tray (fruit, cheese & crackers). She was also kind enough to provide the makings for a tasty breakfast! For comfort, the cottage was exceptional! The king size bed was perfect plus there's a futon in the living room that can be used, if needed. The kitchen contains anything you might need for cooking a full meal. This is a working farm so there are horses, goats, a cute donkey, chickens, and a strutting rooster. My kids loved that! This is a secure property, requiring a code to enter the rural subdivision and property, so there's a comforting sense of security. Fredericksburg is just a short drive away. All in all this was a great experience! Thanks, Pam, for paving the way for a delightful stay!đ
Pam was easy to communicate with. The guest house was perfect! We loved staying at a place that far away from town. We loved the peace and quiet. We enjoyed watching the animals. We got to visit a little with Byron and we visited much more with Pam. She is very interesting and a perfect hostess! We plan to return again soon!
We had the best time relaxing in this darling guest home. The house is very clean, ultra comfortable, and we loved the cozy, Texas chic decor. The king bed, queen futon, and large couch were big enough for our family of four - including 3 guys all + 6â5â. Farm dog Kaiser enthusiastically greeted us upon arrival and the lovely owner introduced us to all of the sweet goats, horses, donkeys, and chickens. The fridge was stocked with cold water and we were treated to fresh farm eggs, biscuits, and chocolate cookies. Our stay was heaven on earth and we canât wait to return. A 10/10
The owner was very pleasant and insured we were comfortable and had what we needed. The animals were fantastic. Beautiful guest house, very welcoming and peaceful environment.
They have a great house that is very comfortable and inviting. The porch catches the prevailing breeze and you can watch hummingbirds for hours. You are conveniently close to town while being away from traffic and noise. The hosts were great to interact with and beyond helpful. If you want all the amenities of a nice house while also being out in the country, try this place.
We had such a great time! A great break from city life and the guest house is clean with provided day breakfast, games, full kitchen, and lovely porch. The hosts are available to answer questions and I enjoyed Pamâs tour of the ranch animals. Fredericksburg is a 15 min drive, Enchanted Rock and Grape Creek Vineyard is 30 mins.
Definitely want to come back and would highly recommend!!
We loved the property. It is just the perfect distance from town for peace and quiet, but also an easy drive for your daily activities. A beautiful home and the farm animals are a plus. Enjoyed sitting out on the porch and taking it all in.
Absolutely loved staying at this property. The checkin process was easy, house was clean and cozy! The property was beautiful. Pam gave us a tour the last day and we got to see the horses, chickens, and goats. Weâll definitely be back to this gorgeous ranch!
The home was clean, beautiful, spacious -close to town yet in the country. The host was great too. So helpful. We felt so safe and right at home. We will go back every year for our Anniversary. Linda Daniel -Lufkin Tx
We enjoyed our anniversary weekend in the guest house. The place is just far enough from the town to provide quiet, but close enough to do shopping and eat at restaurants. WiFi works well, and the bed was comfortable. I liked talking with Pam and meeting her animals! We had a pleasant visit!
We had a delightful time, and were charmed by this great stay. Fresh farm eggs for our breakfast- and a chance to enjoy the countryside. Easy drive in to Fredericksburg- but out of the holiday crowds.
This is a fantastic place to spend a weekend. The house was wonderful the surrounding area was beautiful and Taco was a treat to meet and pet.

My name is Pam. My husband Byron and I are the owners of Spinning H Guesthouse. I am from East Texas and Byron is from South Texas. We met in Austin at UT. We have two grown children. We have lived in beautiful Fredericksburg since 2002 and have absolutely loved every minute of it! I am an animal lover and one of my many hobbies is competing in reining horse competitions. In a competition, one of the maneuvers is called a spin. My husband loves cycling. Thus the name Spinning H.
This property is located on what used to be called Morris Ranch. Morris Ranch has a rich history of horse racing. It is now considered a ghost town. There is a book you will find in the house that tells all about the town's history.
Spinning H guesthouse will steal your heart with its charm and cozy atmosphere, not to mention all the furry and feathered inhabitants. Come and relax in the beautiful Texas Hill Country on a real working farm.
