Secluded Country Cottage in the Texas Hill Country

Comfortable, relaxing, and peaceful are the best words to describe this wonderful cottage in the woods. Ravenwood is a two story, private B&B just 9.5 miles from Fredericksburg, TX.
Enjoy watching a variety of birds while enjoying a “starter breakfast” left in the cottage to help begin your time away as you sit on our Texas size porch with ceiling fans to keep you cool on those hot summer days. At night there is plenty of stargazing to be done as you sip a glass of wine watching the firelight of the fire-pit.
There are numerous walking trails and a meditation garden for those who need a quiet space.
Inside is a comfortable living/eating area with wi-fi, tv, and a kitchen that offers a microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. There is also a gas grill available for use.
On the second floor is a spacious bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed and a cozy reading nook complete with a selection of books and a rocking chair!
This is a place of goodness just waiting for you!

We enjoyed our stay at the country cottage, the cottage is very cozy and a great place for a couple wanting to get away. We liked that it was secluded and felt like we were way out in the country. Very clean. Would definitely stay there again!

The cottage was so cozy and the hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Clean doesn’t even begin to describe how well this place is taken care of. I could have stayed for weeks there.

Perfect stay!!

This was the perfect place to stay for a weekend in Fredericksburg! The property is beautiful and the cottage is so clean and cozy. We loved the slow start homemade breakfast from the host! Highly recommend a stay here.

Such a lovely place. Very peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the grounds and felt like we had wandered into a botanic garden. The hosts were lovely and friendly and them treats they left were just right. The place is small but we could use the porch for sitting as well. Kitchen not for cooking but just right for coffee and snacks

Cozy cottage

This cute cottage and the serene yard with wildlife to enjoy around it was so relaxing. The gorgeous night sky was amazing! Special decor and treats left by the owner made it extra special.

Our stay was amazing, and the coziness of the Ravenwood started it off right as soon as we first walked in. Followed by amazing food in town and great wine around the area. The Ravenwood house was definitely the highlight and we will be staying again in the near future.

Quiet and relaxing

Cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. The property feels secluded an quite,with walking trails. There is a gas grill and firepit for use. Theres mentions of wildlife in the area but we didnt see any at all,except for birds so if you are a bird enthusiast this is place for you. We sat out by firepit at night and it was peacefull and relaxing.loved this cabin.

Peaceful Relaxing Country Environment

This cottage was everything we needed and so many quality things to point out... The quiet and comfortable front porch, watching birds and wildlife, walking the peaceful trails, enjoying the fire pit in the evenings, the beautiful and very comfortable bedroom, sweet living room, kitchen and dining areas. Internet/wifi is strong but I strongly suggest unplugging and just enjoying life at this property. These property owners go above and beyond to make your stay amazing, including delicious homemade breakfast items, which you don't find included in many places anymore. The property is a few miles outside of Fredericksburg but the drive only takes minutes and just so worth it. We will definitely stay again!

This property is a gem of a place. The owners took much care with the attention to detail in the design of cabin, the walking trails, and amenities. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the greeting, as we entered it felt like we were transported from the weary road to a spa. Soft lighting, gentle music, and sent of lavender greeted us. We literally felt a sensation of calm and relaxation come over us. We dont want to spoil the other pleasant. surprises that awaited for us. The basics ...the owners house is near by. but you dont notice see them from the cabin, the toaster over/air fryer combo was great, we didnt not miss an stove top at all. The shower maintained good pressure and heat for my husband and I. Better than another traveler we encountered who said their hotel ran out of water! Can you imagine. The bed was firm and very comfy, we slept well. I very much enjoyed wondering the trails in the cool morning with my coffee in hand. The propane Firepit was great for relaxing and enjoying the space.The only negative my husband and I could find was the parking. It took some effort to park the full size truck. Not a big deal. just gotta be a little patient.

Wonderful quaint getaway in the Hill Country

My wife and celebrated our 33rd anniversary in the Hill Country. We probably looked at least 100-200 properties before landing on this wonderful gem. Rose and Bob have done a wonderful job making this property a romantic oasis, including the ambiant lighting, soft music, and the incredible outdoor garden that attracts butterflies, humming birds, and a variety of songbirds. The bonus was the fresh banana nut bread, kolaches, homemade granola, yogurt and bottles of water. The location was a perfect distance from Fredericksburg, where it was close enough (12 minutes) to enjoy all that the town has to offer, but far enough away that it felt like we were secluded in the Hill Country. We would highly recommend Rose and Bob's quaint cottage. They were great to work with. We hope to be back to enjoy a different season, like spring. I'm sure it's even more breathtaking.
