Great little cottage that is within an easy walking distance to the theaters and hiking. Though small, we all had our own comfortable beds. The bathroom with a shower is a bit tight on space but it was clean. Kitchen is well stocked and there is a nice picnic bench to sit on outside. I would come back again.
We do enjoyed our stay. This cottage is quaint and close to everything. The weather was quite warm and the AC units held up well. We'll book here again for our next stay!
Loved the location - perfect for walking to plays and into town. The house itself was clean and had comfortable furnishings, and the host was easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again if we return with a similarly sized group of people.
We stayed in Ashland two nights in this lovely home that was within walking distance to the town, Lithia park and more. Our communication with our host was excellent.
The older Victorian home was a perfect fit for our stay. We loved the coziness. The best part was the location. Easy walks to town, theater, restaurants, and Lithia Park.
Great location in Ashland, a short walk from theatre and downtown. Charming house, comfortable beds, and efficient cooling system! We would come and stay again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint home. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved being able to walk to numerous restaurants, and to the theaters for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival!
Alla was easily accessible via messaging, and when a couple of repair issues arose, she responded quickly and made sure the issues were addressed completely in a timely manner.
Thank you, Alla and Patrick, for making this lovely house available to Ashland visitors! It helped facilitate a very special family time <3
Alla's cottage is just as charming in real-life as it is in the photographs and very well appointed. We were a group of 6 and the house never felt crowded thanks to the way everything is laid out. Incredible location- close to the theatres, Lithia Park, the downtown and yet very quiet with a view out over the mountains. We loved the deck with the gas grill for bbq'g, having dinner under the big umbrella and just hanging out. Alla is a super responsive and kind host!
There were 7 of us together for a âgirlsâ trip,â and this house was the perfect location.
Alla was quick to respond with our few questions. Good kitchen and comfortable âhang outâ space. Recomment Smithfield restaurant down the alley and Mixx on the plaza for coffee and treats! This all worked out fine!
We loved our stay at this home! Alla, the owner, was very responsive and attentive. She clearly cares about her guests and wants them to have a wonderful time at her property.
As other reviewers have noted, the location is fantastic and so easy to walk to everything. The house is well stocked and the air conditioning kept the house cool. Beds and pillows comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Clean and inviting home!
The kitchen was well stocked. Our stay was during winter and the house is hard to keep warm. The steep stairs are not advisable for young children. The upstairs is quite charming. The downstairs bedroom is small with no closet and the livingroom could use a rug to warm it up and a TV! The deck would be a big asset during warmer weather.
We were provided with no way to contact the host prior to arrival. Therefore a bit of anxiety about whether there was AC and whether we would receive the door entry code in time. Not everybody (believe it or not) travels with a phone for texts.
A well-renovated older cottage. Clean. It has an attentive, caring owner. By older, I mean charming with hardwood floors and extremely close to town. The lights, A/C, appliances, cabinets, etc. are all modern. We were comfortable in 100 degree weather. Gotta duck to use the upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bed was a bit squishy for my tastes. Overall, a very good experience. I got to spend more time up here some time --- wine country, river rafting, etc!
Great location, well stocked kitchen but some problems
If you read through the reviews the good and bad of this house is pretty much covered. Great location, good kitchen with easy cooking. Bakery and other downtown stores very close. Downside: Bed in downstairs room is really bad. Only one shower. Deck is nice but had overflowing trash barrel, No TV. The house was fairly clean but could really stand a deep cleaning. I donât think weâd stay here again. Also, the separate VRBO fees are too high.
You can't beat the location. Half a block to downtown and about 4 blocks from the theaters. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. nice open floor plan downstairs and convenient parking. Very clean and the beds were comfortable enough. But- advertised as air conditioned but has one wall AC upstairs that does not reach downstairs bedroom or even the upstairs bedrooms very effectively. On a hot Ashland day, watch out! There is one ceiling fan in the living room. Also, there are only overhead lights downstairs which does not create a very pleasant atmosphere. Finally, the owners need to put black out curtains in the upstairs bedrooms- we used towels to block out the light.

Our home is unique in that it features many of the original 1907 features of the home! Lead windows, original woodwork, fir floors which were both original to the home AND some rebuilt with fir from OSF's original practice space. The home is charming a full of character - from the clawfoot tub (perfect for a relaxing bath) to the slanted ceilings and dormers, this house brings all the history of Ashland to the forefront of your stay.
