This was our fourth stay at The Ashland Cottage. Always a wonderful treat for us. Superb location, excellent host, and a clean well designed cottage. Highly recommend.
Our family had a lovely stay in Ashland! This was our first time visiting to see the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and we will definitely be back! The Ashland Cottage was very quaint and cozy, and a great home base during the OSF. We could walk to shops, restaurants and shows, and the neighborhood felt very safe and family-friendly. Even though we shared a yard with the host family, it still felt very private, and there is even a beautiful view of the mountains out the loft bedroom windows. The kitchen had everything we needed, though a table would have helped (there are two seating spaces at the kitchen counter and an outdoor table we could enjoy as long as it wasn't raining or wet). The one day it rained made it a little crowded inside during mealtimes. We also encountered a few ants.Margaret was a gracious host, and made herself available when we needed help with streaming services. She was very responsive, and even let us enjoy some fresh eggs from her chickens. Yum!Overall, our family enjoyed our time at the Ashland Cottage. We made many great memories here!
The property was beautiful and just as described. We were rewarded with a kitty visit on the deck in the mornings while we drank our tea and coffee. Perfect distance from town, able to walk but not in all of the hubbub.
A weekend in Ashland was just what the doctor ordered! And this cottage was perfection! Margaret met us on arrival, and we entered our clean, comfortable, well-appointed, cozy âhomeâ. The location is only a few blocks from downtown - shops, restaurants, bars, Shakespeare Festival - and it was a short drive to the wineries! All in all, a perfect place from which to enjoy Ashland!
Such a comfortable cottage. We were able to make meals, enjoy the patio, and walk to the downtown area for great ice cream. What a lovely community. Hosts allowed us privacy while being very responsive to my questions. I would definitely stay again.
The house is very orderly and well appointed. Itâs in a neighbor that is walking distance to downtown and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. And the owner is highly communicative and a lovely person. We would come back any time.
We had a wonderful stay at the Ashland cottage. Itâs located close to the theaters downtown, as well as some terrific restaurants. We are definitely coming back again.
From the quality of the linens and pillows to the well-stocked kitchen to the basket of toiletries (if you forget something) - it's clear the owner takes great care and pride in this cottage. I highly recommend it!
This property is just as pictured/described. Clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Our host was very helpful and responsive. We hope to stay again when weâre back in Ashland.
We loved our stay at this little cottage. It was as advertised, very cute and very clean. We had everything we needed down to coffee pods and real half and half in the fridge. We would definitely stay again.
This was our second stay at the Ashland Cottage and we enjoyed it as much as the first! It is a great location, with a clean, efficient, and comfortable cottage. The two Husky dogs are friendly and fun to visit with. We are looking forward to returning for another stay in the near future!
Perfect-sized cottage on a quiet street - within walking distance of downtown (though it's a bit of a climb). Cottage was very clean and the hosts thought of everything - lots of details well-attended to. Definitely a return spot for us! Thanks!
The Ashland Cottage is charming and cozy. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed upstairs was comfortable as was the pull out sofabed downstairs. The deck provided a lovely space to sit and relax. The cottage is situated a short walk from all that downtown Ashland has to offer. When we come back to Ashland, we would love to stay here again.
Margaret has done such a wonderful job making this space feel like home. I felt so well taken care of - she thought of everything that a traveler would need and some personal touches too. We were traveling a long distance and just stopped over on our way north for the evening. Would have liked to stay longer.
We are the Machala family, on-site owners, Mark and Margaret, and our three children, as well as our beloved dogs, a pug and a toy poodle, three friendly cats and small flock of hens. Mark is a chiropractor with a wellness practice a few blocks from our home. We relocated to Ashland in 2009 from Southern California and we greatly appreciate this wonderful small town. We are happy to help you plan your stay.
