Lovely apartment for my daughter and I to stay while visiting Ashland family. Loved the watercolor paintings by the owners mother and outside courtyard. Also nice we could charge our EV in the driveway
Lovely apartment -- walking distance to theaters and downtown
This is a very functional apartment in a superb location....less than a mile to the theater area. Even though the kitchen is tiny with a mini-fridge, microwave and convection oven, we had no problem fixing our own meals--it is very well stocked. Upstairs bedrooms and the adjacent bathroom are spacious and feature big windows and sky lights--even in one of the closets! The shared patio is pleasant.
My two adult daughters and I stayed at the Maple Apartment for 5 nights. We appreciated the spaciousness of the bedrooms and two full bathrooms with plenty of towels. I loved having upstairs bedrooms with updated windows with screens for nights with fresh air flowing through. The AC works perfectly, which is a must since summer in Ashland is hot, even in early June. The beds are comfy and there are extra pillows. The kitchenette has the supplies needed for basic food prep and reheating leftovers. It was a perfect place for us to stay. Thank you!
It was a nice place. Easy walk to town, cute courtyard the only downside was that you could hear the neighbor doing business on the phone in the living room. A little music muffled that out quickly.
We loved this property. Comfy beds, very clean home with everything we needed. Host was very quick to respond to questions. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved the location of the maple cottage. We walked to and from the Oregon Shakespeare festival and sat out in the shady patio in the cool evenings. Perfect for us and our adult daughter!
The place was great for our family. It was clean and awesome for our family. We had plenty of room and the place was clean and easy to access. It was a great location and we will stay there next year. Thank you.
Cute apartment located convenient to downtown Ashland. The neighborhood is quiet and scenic, with many vintage homes with beautiful flowers and trees to admire on walks. The courtyard at the apartment is shady and inviting to sit and relax after a day exploring.
The check in process was simple, and the Maple Apartment was a good size for our group: two adults, our daughter, and one grandparent. The apartment has nice light with skylights throughout, the kitchen is small but has everything you need to make breakfast, including a coffee maker. We enjoyed the outdoor garden seating, and the owners' small dog Yoshi is the one of the cutest dogs I've met. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk to the Ashland shops. We enjoyed the Hither Cafe for lunch and some breakfast scones. And the Bloomsbury Bookstore nearby is wonderful - a good place to find your next read or stop for a drink in the upstairs cafe.
Clean, comfortable, and as described. Approximately 15 min walk to OSF theaters and downtown Ashland. We appreciated that this place had air conditioning, as many rentals in Ashland do not. We would have loved some black-out curtains in the bedrooms so we could have slept in, but other than that, great place!
It was a wonderful experience. The cottage was perfect for us! The rooms had a lot of space, the kitchenette worked perfectly for us! Thr Breville was great,(I have one) The property has an outdoor area that reminded me of the courtyards in New Orleans, it was well shaded and private.
We are hoping to rebook next year! Thank you for you hospitality!
Perfect space for our family of four to retreat to during our very lovely weekend in Ashland. Very spacious and comfortable, and Raliegh was easy to work with to get our reservation set up. The kitchenette is pretty limited but has enough that we planned meals that would work - there is a microwave, a small refrigerator, and a toaster oven, and once there we saw there was also an electric frying pan. We enjoyed the walk to and from the theatre and downtown. Very pleasant - we would definitely return!
Was at this property several years ago. It is fine. You could use a little more kitchen area, though I know that would be difficult. It is too bad that temperatures are difficult to regulate from upstairs and downstairs. The curtains are horrible and need to be replaced.
We had a lovely time at the Maple Apartment at Tudor House. The house was super comfortable and very cozy. One of our members felt under the weather and spent all day in the house, but that was just fine by him! The location is excellent, making it easy to walk downtown or to OSF (or to Morning Glory, the esteemed breakfast place). And as the owner of a hybrid plug-in vehicle, we were pleasantly surprised to see a charger on the garage! Apparently we may have taken it on its maiden voyage. Thanks, Raliegh!
Heat was off and temperature was 42 degrees f which is not safe for a toddler to be in. Took 6 hours for apartment to heat up to 65 degrees f. The property is not safe for toddlers in general. Back yard is a mess
Overall our stay was pleasant. The location was good, the spacious bedrooms were very nice, and the two full bathrooms were a real plus. The patio and yard area would be very nice if it was cleaned up and the numerous toys picked up and stored. We avoided the downstairs living room because of the lack of sunlight, insufficient lighting, and outdated TV. While mostly quiet, the room next to ours needs to be soundproofed as anything coming from the other side sounds as if it is in our apartment. The window shades need to be replaced or repaired as adjusting most of them was impossible. We would only stay again if the trees were trimmed to bring in more sunlight, the patio was cleaned up and the attached wall soundproofed.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The two bedrooms were spacious and bright. It was nice having two bathrooms, since our 11 year old grandson stayed with us two of the six nights. The location is perfect.
After innkeeping for 13 years, the birth of twin boys in 2011 meant big changes for the Grantham Family. At the end of the 2012, we moved into the main part of the house and quit serving breakfast at Ashland's Tudor House B&B.
Easy access to downtown and groceries make this private and quiet unit a great place to stay while you visit Ashland and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
