A very quiet, relaxing location just a few blocks from central Ashland. Beautiful private grounds saw us sitting, reading, and eating outdoors. A cozy, comfortable house with all necessary conveniences.
This cottage is nestled into a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The enclosed garden facing the street is full of flowers and well tended. Weâve stayed here several times. Itâs an easy walk to OSF. The house is well maintained and always clean. The kitchen is adequately stocked with dishes, pots and pans. The owner is very responsive when weâve have questions. We all enjoy this cozy home.
A lovely property that is relatively close to the theatre and shops (my 84 year old relatives had no problem). Comfortable beds, adequate kitchen, modest but comfortable living room. Beautiful front porch ideal for morning relaxation as was the four seat, umbrellaed dining table in the corner of the front yard, nicely cloistered from the quiet street by the strategic well-maintained foliage. I felt the price of the accommodation was well balanced to the quality it provided. Would definitely stay here again.
This house was an amazing spot for two couples sharing a few days of play going and hanging out.
Location was great, just blocks from the downtown shops, restaurants and theaters.
House was comfortable, well stocked and had the perfect combination of common spaces to socialize and individual bedroom and bath spaces for some private time.
Just had a great 3 month stay! Loved the neighborhood and the easy access to the plaza, hiking trails and all the great stuff Ashland has to offer. Lois was a great host. Very communicative and helpful.
Always a pleasure to stay at the Central Avenue Cottage. Great location for walking to the theatres and restaurants, yet quiet and it is not uncommon to share the sidewalk with deer. The home is always clean, well-supplied, has good WiFi. We stay here often!
Thai was a return trip the the property. A clean, comfortable, well appointed house in a great part of Ashland. A quiet and beautiful garden made sitting outside a pleasure. We will be back.
We stayed at Central Avenue Cottage for 5 nights and could have happily stayed longer. It's a delightful house with quiet efficient air conditioning! I say this because it was HOT while we were there and it was always comfortable inside. The beds are comfortable, kitchen well supplied, and other amenities were perfect. We enjoyed barbecuing one evening and often sat outside on the chairs on the front porch. Lois was very responsive every time we had questions.
I hope it will be available when we return to Ashland next year!
Weâve been visiting Ashland at least once a year for the past 35 years. This is our favorite cottage. The location is unbeatable if youâre visiting OSF and the downtown area. We loved the secluded front yard with two separate, lovely sitting areas. The interior was clean, cozy and charming. Comfortable beds. Sweet little living room. Check-in couldnât be easier.
Delightful cottage immaculately maintained in a location that canât be beat, walkable to downtown, OSF and Lithia Park. As two couples, we also appreciated having two bathrooms! Highly recommend, and hope to return next year.
We were greeted by arrangements of fresh flowers from the garden. Even though the garden is close to the street, itâs a pleasant spot to enjoy a cup of coffee, or a meal. The front porch is also a great place to hang out.We have stayed here a few times now. We eat in most of the time and find the kitchen to be well stocked in terms of equipment. Great to have a meat thermometer for instance, and a rolling pin. We particularly appreciate the location. We can walk to the food co-op, and the theater with ease. We have another trip planned for the fall and are looking forward to it. Lois is a responsive and accommodating host. No complaints only compliments for this place.
This Cottage was absolutely wonderful. Located a quick 10 minute walk from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival venues in a cozy neighborhood, the grounds are quiet and private. House is well-laid out and the kitchen exceptionally well equipped. Thoughtful touches abound including games, puzzles, plenty of books. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well-stocked. While there were only two of us, the house would easily accommodate six guests without feeling cramped or that you were on top of each other. The front porch and private front yard were serene and inviting. We were in Ashland to see shows at OSF and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Lois is a wonderful host and I was grateful we had the chance to meet in person. This cottage was perfect for our stay. Thank you, Lois!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Central Avenue Cottage. Such a comfortable home - private, clean and very well appointed. The weather wasnât super but had it been better we would have really enjoyed being outside. This was a great place for 2 couples. We have come to OSF for many years and this is definitely one of the best places weâve stayed.
Cute house in a residential neighborhood super-close to shopping, restaurants, walkable to theaters. Private front yard/garden with porch chairs, patio table.
My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving, and our stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant.
The host was welcoming and helpfully communicative, and even gifted us some homemmeade cranberry relish!
I have lived and worked in this wonderful town for 30 years. I bought this home in 1986 with the dream that someday I would turn it into a travelers accommodation. Over the years I have carefully remodeled and restored this 1900 cottage and I welcomed my first visitors in 2008.
What I love about this property is its close proximity to the heart of downtown, the coop, and the park while still maintaining a quiet, natural setting. All are within 3 minutes walking distance so you can leave your car parked in the driveway for days.
In addition to the pleasing home and proximity to downtown, you can sit outside on the porch or on the patio and enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding the home with the green mountains in the background.
