Delightful cottage immaculately maintained in a location that canât be beat, walkable to downtown, OSF and Lithia Park. As two couples, we also appreciated having two bathrooms! Highly recommend, and hope to return next year.
A very quiet, relaxing location just a few blocks from central Ashland. Beautiful private grounds saw us sitting, reading, and eating outdoors. A cozy, comfortable house with all necessary conveniences.
A lovely property that is relatively close to the theatre and shops (my 84 year old relatives had no problem). Comfortable beds, adequate kitchen, modest but comfortable living room. Beautiful front porch ideal for morning relaxation as was the four seat, umbrellaed dining table in the corner of the front yard, nicely cloistered from the quiet street by the strategic well-maintained foliage. I felt the price of the accommodation was well balanced to the quality it provided. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving, and our stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant.
The host was welcoming and helpfully communicative, and even gifted us some homemmeade cranberry relish!
The house is lovely and charming, and fully stocked. It is in a great part of town, within easy walking distance to the theater, park, restaurants, etc. We all agreed we would like to move in!
This was our second stay at this lovely cottage that has everything we needed and more. If we return to Ashland we'll definitely try to stay here again.
This house was an amazing spot for two couples sharing a few days of play going and hanging out.
Location was great, just blocks from the downtown shops, restaurants and theaters.
House was comfortable, well stocked and had the perfect combination of common spaces to socialize and individual bedroom and bath spaces for some private time.
Perfect bungalow near town. Loved the walking distance to town. Quiet evenings on the porch. Lois provided a personal touch with flowers from the yard for arrival.
A true home away from home. Well stocked kitchen. Everything was clean and comfortable. The convenience to everything within walking distance is delightful.
Our third stay in this Ashland cottage. A comfortable, well appointed home in a great location just a few blocks from downtown Ashland. Perfect place for walking to the theater, hiking or biking the park and watershed, or just visiting local restaurants. In a very cute, quiet neighborhood with a lovely landscaped private yard that made outdoor dining a pleasure. We have been going to Ashland since 1992, and this is by far our favorite place to stay.
Just had a great 3 month stay! Loved the neighborhood and the easy access to the plaza, hiking trails and all the great stuff Ashland has to offer. Lois was a great host. Very communicative and helpful.
Cute well maintained house, the smoke in the air cancelled our theatre so we left early but we enjoyed the nicely appointed house and pleasant front yard
This Cottage was absolutely wonderful. Located a quick 10 minute walk from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival venues in a cozy neighborhood, the grounds are quiet and private. House is well-laid out and the kitchen exceptionally well equipped. Thoughtful touches abound including games, puzzles, plenty of books. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well-stocked. While there were only two of us, the house would easily accommodate six guests without feeling cramped or that you were on top of each other. The front porch and private front yard were serene and inviting. We were in Ashland to see shows at OSF and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Lois is a wonderful host and I was grateful we had the chance to meet in person. This cottage was perfect for our stay. Thank you, Lois!
Always a pleasure to stay at the Central Avenue Cottage. Great location for walking to the theatres and restaurants, yet quiet and it is not uncommon to share the sidewalk with deer. The home is always clean, well-supplied, has good WiFi. We stay here often!
I have lived and worked in this wonderful town for 30 years. I bought this home in 1986 with the dream that someday I would turn it into a travelers accommodation. Over the years I have carefully remodeled and restored this 1900 cottage and I welcomed my first visitors in 2008.
What I love about this property is its close proximity to the heart of downtown, the coop, and the park while still maintaining a quiet, natural setting. All are within 3 minutes walking distance so you can leave your car parked in the driveway for days.
In addition to the pleasing home and proximity to downtown, you can sit outside on the porch or on the patio and enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding the home with the green mountains in the background.
