Beautifully renovated 5-bedroom Cape Cod home great for larger gatherings.

Nantucket Inn is a comfortable vacation home where families and friends can gather to enjoy time together as well as explore the nearby beaches and towns.

It offers well-appointed bedrooms, each with a private bath plus in-room coffee, microwave, mini fridge. There is enough room for 12 with 7 beds. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor. A third larger bedroom with two queen beds is upstairs. Also, upstairs is a two-room family suite with a private bath and in-room amenities plus a king size bed. The adjoining kids' space has two twin beds and a TV. New memory foam mattresses in each room are perfect for a good night's sleep.

State of the art kitchen boasts all new appliances and is fully furnished for immediate use when you arrive. Staples are provided in the guest pantry cabinet There is also room to store your own food. The dining area has ample space for eating plus a coffee bar.

An inviting living room and library with the original 1944 oak millwork provides a gathering space for conversation, reading and relaxing.

The original dining room was re-fashioned into a "game room" to enjoy a variety of non-electronic board games and/or puzzles provided.

Free Wifi and TV streaming available. Free laundry facilities are available in the house.

The back yard boasts a newly refurbished deck with a gas grill. Relax on the deck chairs or enjoy the fire pit for s'mores and play yard games.

Progress on the exterior to complete the planting of flower beds and lawn re-seeding will continue during the summer and fall.

Guests will have their own individual access codes for self check-in, assigned when reservation is made. All doors are keyless entry. Parking is available in front with access to city street.

A great deal of love has been put into The Nantucket Inn. Sandra has anticipated all her guests needs. The kitchen was by far the best stocked kitchen of any property we have ever stayed at. Every bathroom was stocked with toiletries, toilet paper, hand soap, and plenty of towels. Each bedroom had its own microwave, Keurig, and mini fridge. The furnishings & mattresses were all generally comfortable. The local beach was never overly crowded - though in walking distance, we preferred to drive since there was plenty of parking and we had lots to pack. As an added bonus we were visited by a doe and her two fawns in the backyard. We found the beautifully paneled living room a cozy spot to gather morning and night. We would recommend this property for multigenerational family vacations.

Card club getaway

We had 8 adults who had a choice of comfortable beds, lots of linens, and plenty of room throughout the house. Everything was clean and well stocked. Sandy was easy to contact and answered all of our questions. Would stay again!

Very beautiful large house enough room for the entire family and friends beds extremely comfortable the house was very clean and well stocked. Beautiful backyard with fire pit and lots of seating on the deck or in the yard walking distance to the beach and the pier. We would love to stay here again.

The property was just perfect for my Family. It was clean and accommodating and close to town. We had a small glitch that Sandy handled quickly and with pleasure. We found the property just right for our weekend needs. I would recommend this property for rental.

Celebration of Life

We were in town for a family funeral. What a wonderful retreat to relax, celebrate life and reminisce together. There was ample room to eat together, a big deck to enjoy the evening, and the bedrooms are spread out enough the early risers didnt wake the others. Beautiful and tastefully decorated. Fresh Michigan apples were a nice touch!

The house was great for multiple couples. Enough beds with separate baths that everyone was comfortable and could get ready for the function easily. it was clean and everything worked well.

Just what we needed

Everything was fabulous. From the checkin to the communication from the property owner. Sandy was amazing. The continental breakfast was beyond what we expected. Fresh fruit, eggs, bread and even frozen waffles. Beds were comfortable. Kids loved having the upstairs to hang out lots of room to reconnect

Beautiful house for multiple families

We stayed with 3 families and it was so nice for each family to have their own space and bathroom. The house is super well-stocked with lots of extras like towels/coffee/linens/shampoo etc 5 min walk to the beach which was great for littles - shallow water and lots of beach tonplay.

I moved to Harbor Beach from Washington state after retiring from a career as Laboratory Director. Since being here, I have renovated three houses, two of which are designed as vacation rentals. Now I plan to try new ventures, like watercolor painting and kayaking.
I enjoy the slower pace and minimal traffic here compared to Seattle. I especially love the beautiful summers on the shore of Lake Huron.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This property was both a challenge and a labor of love to renovate. The 1944 bungalow had been neglected and abused. It took 14 months to complete the interior with focus on keeping the character and original features of the home while integrating modern essentials.
It had to be a comfortable, welcoming place for visitors to relax and enjoy "The Thumb" of Michigan and Harbor Beach.

With five bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, Nantucket Inn provides room for families and friends to have their own space. The common rooms invite gatherings and conversation during your stay. The Game Room supplies nostalgic non-electronic games and puzzles for evening entertainment.

All bedrooms have wifi and smart TV's to keep connected. They also have in-room coffee, microwave and mini fridge when you just want to cocoon in your room or have a night of popcorn and a movie.

When you venture outside, you are within walking distance to shops, restaurants, theater, Murphy Museum, Harbor Beach pier and of course the city beach parks at the Lake. A short drive will take you to Point aux Barques lighthouse, Port Hope, Port Austin and Bad Axe.
