We had a wonderful stay at this cute little house! It had everything we needed, was super clean, and felt really comfortable. The host was incredibly responsive and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here againâhighly recommend!
This renovated home had all the additional little touches needed for a comfortable stay and my dog was allowed to stay which I appreciated--big yard included. Plus Kim is a very responsive host. Davis, NC, where the home is located is a very small, quiet residential town. At night we cooked fresh seafood picked up from local markets, played board games, and read books. Each day, we went to Atlantic Beach -- Fort Macon State Park for beach time and restaurants (Beaufort too) -- about a 25 minute drive from the house past scenic waterways (fisherman take note). Cape Lookout with the lighthouse and for beach time is worth the ferry trip price. Additionally, the NC Aquarium is a fun indoor activity to get away from the scorching July heat.
Clean property, only 30 mins from Atlantic Beach where we spent a lot of our time. Having 2 full bathrooms was great. Plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out and relax. Kitchen was great, fully stocked with everything we needed besides seasonings which wasnât a big deal to purchase our own. Having laundry on site was great. Beds were comfortable. Had an issue with the AC but the hosts were very fast to respond and provide solutions. Sam was very sweet when he came to bring extra AC and fans. Neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves, were friendly when we waved and said hello. Very quiet and small town with a cute gift shop and gas station right down the road. Thank you!
Great size for our group of siblings. Home was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Location was perfect to attend our annual Family Reunion. We are thinking of renting it again next year!!
Lovely, clean, well organized, nicely furnished, open rooms! Great for family/friend gatherings! Excellent communication from host with quick, polite responses! Detailed host expectations and tourist information provided. Excellent rental for vacation!!
This was the cleanest, most relaxing place we have ever stayed. No traffic, no noise...just peacefulness. The home was tastefully decorated and had all the amenities. We enjoyed our stay, and I highly recommend it.
The cottage was very clean and wonderfully supplied. Itâs 2 blocks from the Ferry to Cape Lookout. The host was most helpful and accommodating! We were a short walk to Free Will Baptist church, where we were welcomed with much hospitality. The sunsets were magnificent. Perfect getaway!!
Property was nice & clean, as described. Beds were comfortable. Kim was very responsive, we had an issue with the air conditioner but it was addressed immediately & resolved. We would have preferred blinds on all the windows. Would stay again if in this area.
The house was clean and quiet, and had a great layout for keeping our toddler and dog contained and happy. We brought a couple of baby gates and didn't have to worry about child-proofing beyond that -- no stairs, no clutter, easy to wipe messes off the floors, etc. The kitchen and bathrooms were equipped with all the basics we needed to cook and keep clean during our stay.
It is worth noting that nearby neighbors do let their dogs run loose. They were friendly and did not cause any problems, but might be good to know!
Kim was a great host and was very responsive when we needed to reach out to her. I would absolutely stay here (or in another of her properties) again!
Gave 3 stars because the place was as advertised. Cute house with amenities to make a family feel at home if staying a long time. If we had stayed more than 2 nights this would be a 1 star review. The A/C didnât work.. we were told the repair guy was just thereâŠ. Blah. Blah.. owners son brought us a portable unit so 1 bedroom was cool for 1 night. Communication on VRBO was awful but not sure it was owners fault, seemed to be an issue with VRBO site. Front door didnât close all the way and lock after the heat of the day made it swell.. Blinds in the living room didnât cover the whole window and no blinds in the bedrooms.. they took an old house and remodeled but didnât take time on the details. Wouldnât stay again
The home was clean as described, only about a 20 minute drive to Beaufort where our retirement party was, interesting territory to see that is not the beach scene. Easy drive, very quite street, lots of room for our dog to walk.
