Escapade paisible avec des vues incroyables - 8 personnes

Cette maison de deux chambres et deux salles de bain au bord de l'eau est juste à côté du Davis Ferry Service et à quelques minutes de Cape Lookout. Excellent accès aux Core Banks pour profiter de la plage pour le soleil et les vagues ou pour la pêche et la chasse. Entièrement meublé avec deux lits Queen et deux canapés-lits. Le quai privé vous permet d'apporter votre bateau ou vous pouvez explorer les voies navigables avec les deux kayaks disponibles. Des vélos sont disponibles - vous pouvez monter sur la route panoramique pittoresque. Une douche extérieure est également disponible! Profitez des vues de Core Sound depuis la terrasse enveloppante ou la véranda. Le Floorplan est ouvert et aéré, vous accueillant! Inclus avec votre séjour de 2 nuits et plus sont deux passes de ferry aller-retour sur Davis Shore Ferry Service.

Perfection and relaxation

The house is even nicer than the photos! Its open, bright, wonderfully decorated and so many special touches throughout. The hosts have literally already though of everything. It's so quiet there, at night we could see every star and several planets. The dock was great, the view could not be improved, i cant rave about our short stay enough. Thank you, it was just what we needed for a quick reset!

The PERFECT Getaway!!

First if you are considering this place just go ahead and BOOK! Don't wait, you will not be disappointed at all. The views are perfect in the morning from the sun coming up over the sound and just as perfect in the evening with the sun going down. This home has it all, there was plenty of space for everyone. The dock was perfect from just sitting in the morning enjoying the fresh air to fishing and crabbing, we caught crabs and plenty of fish to eat as well. The screened in porch was nice for diners and just relaxing in the evenings. The house was very clean as well. The kitchen is very nice and had everything you would need to create any meal. This will be our stay for future visits Down East. The host communicates very well and very quick to respond to any questions.

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second year staying at Sound Escape. It was just as wonderful this year as it was last. We love all of Laurie’s thoughtful touches, and we made use of the ferry passes. Thank you for those! We also made a lovely meal with the pasta! We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch and on the dock. Both are very relaxing. We did have to buy a skillet as the ones there were quite used, and it would be great if the light switch in the master bedroom water closet was fixed. It was like playing a game in the dark trying to get the light to stay on :-) We hope to be back again next year!

Family downtime

This was our second stay and we enjoyed it as much as the first. We always bring the rain, but being on the water made it easy for my teens to fish from the dock between showers. It’s a relaxing getaway. It feels homey but with amazing views of the water. One of my sons caught enough shrimp in his net for us to boil for lunch one day. I watched from the swing on the porch!

Wonderful and Relaxing!

Loved our stay!

Wonderful place for a relaxing vacation! This is absolutely the best house we have vacationed in. Everything about it was perfect. There were six of us, and we all hated to leave. From the fishing, the island hopping, the cute little sea town of Beaufort, the wild horse and dolphin sitings to the relaxing evenings star watching, playing games, or relaxing on the porch, this place is #1 in our family. Thank you for a wonderful week in your beautiful home. ❤️

FABULOUS!

What a beautiful home and setting! This was just what the doctor ordered: great weather, comfortable accommodations, beautiful sunrises and attentive owners. They have thought of everything you might need and respond quickly if you message them in the app. This was our second stay and we will return every year!

Relaxing, quiet gem of a retreat

I’ve stayed here 3 times now and each time has been better than the last. It is always clean, inviting and has just what we need. The dock is wonderful for fishing, watching the sunrise/sunset, dolphin watching and just enjoying the scenery. Beds and seating areas are comfortable and cozy. Living room tv needs to be bigger though. The screened in porch is amazing and the fans make it enjoyable even in the heat.

This was our 4th stay at Sound Escape and it was great, as always! The house is wonderful in every way, and Laurie is very responsive if you happen to need anything. The views of Core Sound from the deck, the screened porch, and every room in the house are spectacular! We feel very much at home there and we’re looking forward to returning as soon as possible.

A peaceful getaway with amazing views was an understatement! To be able to meet & enjoy a weekend full of laughter with friends, visiting friends while staying in Davis at your home was yet another memorable trip for the books! The six of us always meet over on the other side of the sound, we enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking the sound towards the island talking and swinging, we played cards, had dinner on Harkers Island and just enjoyed the quietness that your place brought. Laurie without a doubt met our every need and is a super host! We left knowing that we would plan another trip back soon!!

Working on the bucket list

Fantastic property conveniently located right beside Davis Ferry. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet we found there. The host thought of everything as far as amenities.

Mark's father is from Down East. Laurie fell in love with that area about the time she fell in love with Mark. For more than 2 decades they have been visiting the waters of Core Sound. Laurie and their dog Grace love to Kayak on the Sound every chance they get. Mark loves doing anything on the water.

If you are looking for a getaway that will make you appreciate everything nature has to offer - this is the place for you.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The screen porch is sure to be a highlight of your stay - at least that is what we hear. Sound Escape will allow you to throw a cast net off the dock, enjoy a good book on the screen porch, see more stars than you may have ever seen before and if you are lucky spot a dolphin or sea turtle swimming by.
When you walk in the door, you can look straight through the large great room and see Core Sound on the other side. If the weather is right, you might decide to turn off the A/C or heat and open the windows and feel the Sound breezes while you sleep or enjoy your breakfast.
Feel free to take a bike ride along the Scenic Byway (on one of the two bikes that are included), take a paddle on one of the two kayaks or hop on the Ferry to catch a ride to an amazing beach (that is practically private!)
Fish off the dock or in the surf if you would like (just bring your gear). If you have never been clamming, grab our clam rake and give it a try!
Walk down to Davis Shore Provision and grab some ice cream or dessert or stop in JDs one morning for a breakfast sandwich on a Davis Shore yeast roll. You have to try one!
