This three-bedroom, two-bathroom sound-side home is one of the Island's best values with gorgeous colors, warm, wooden accents, and eye-catching decor.

A TV, DVD player, VCR player, and stereo/CD player are available for indoor entertainment. Other great amenities at House of Windows include a washer and dryer in the under-house utility room, high-speed wireless internet, and a refrigerator with an icemaker.

Amazing Property!

The House of Windows didn’t disappoint, as the property has an open floor plan with plenty of space, nestled a short walk away from the beach. The home was great, and the outdoor bar on the ground level is a nice touch! Highly recommend this property if you value your privacy and are looking for a nice home to spend with your family for the week.

Perfect stay!

This house was perfect for me, my husband and our 3 kids. It had a comfy coastal feel and the mornings when the sun started to come through all the windows felt so beautiful! This was our 4th time in OBX and our favorite house to stay in!

Loved it

Really enjoyed staying at House of Windows. Great location and offered everything you need. Beach access is fairly easy if you don’t mind walking. If not, plenty of other places you can drive to for the day. The shared pool is a very short distance and quite nice. Plenty of dining options and even a convenient store next door that is easily walkable. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Vacasa!

Disappointing + NOT kid friendly

We have rented from Vacasa in the past and had positive experiences. However, this home was not very clean, and there were multiple things broken. I guess the name speaks for itself but very bright place so hard to get dark for kids to sleep. Lots of safety hazards for kids- exposed outlets, hanging power cords, exterior doors that open easily, hanging blind cords, no lock on the stove, etc. In Vacasa's defense they did check in with us the night we arrived and offered to come out and clean. On the bright side the kitchen was nice and appliances were updated. Lots of natural light. Close to groceries, restaurant, beach access.

Wouldn’t stay again

Home was not clean. Had to have them come back and took 2 days for them to show up. Half lightbulbs out in home. Also took 2 days to come in home. (And just showed up) House needs a deep clean. Beds were awful. Uncomfortable and so loud and squeaky. Sand all over house. Beer bottles and soda cans left. Dirty dishes. Took 2+ hours to clean home to what it should have been. Wasn’t vacuumed and bathroom tub not cleaned or mirrors. No floors mopped. Large quantities of mouse droppings in house. A couple TVs did not work. House didn’t look like pics, as it was missing equipment. Called and they had cleaning company take out hammocks. They were left for us to install/hang. Very unprofessional all around and started our trip off on a bad foot. Decor was cute, but wouldn’t stay here again and not sure I’d even use Vacasa again at this point.

Cute home with character

Loved the character of this home. It was perfect location for us and close to the things to wanted to do. However, the beds are not comfortable at all and the king bed is extremely squeaky. The second you move it squeaks so loud. It does seem to need a fresh coat of paint, but overall a nice home.

Birthday getaway

Booked this trip to getaway from our house and for fresh air. Normally trying to find something at a decent price during summer time gets very expensive so we decided to take time off for my wife's birthday and hope for the best. We have a almost two year old son who already keeps us on our toes so walking into the house of windows I felt really good about my selection and the price right away. overall the place was clean and very well stocked in kitchen supplies. This was our first time renting a house instead of a hotel so we weren't sure what we needed so we packed heavily as always (lol). Seeing everything the house already provided I won't be packing probably as much in the future. We were able to invite our close friends who came with their two older sons and a baby so it was just the right size for all of us. I loved how close we were to the water and this is the perfect spot for me because previous year I got to experience our first time driving on the beach and I fell in love with it. So this house had several spots on both sides which made it possible without having to drive far away. I will for sure use vacasa in the future for vacation planning specially if the prices are always this great.

Basic but all you need

This house was perfect and priced accordingly to amenities. It was one of the cleanest beach rentals we have ever stayed in. The layout works nicely for family as living room is separate from sleeping area which allows sleeping areas to remain quiet and kids to be able to nap or parents to sleep in. Water pressure was fantastic which is unusual for a rental. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of plates and silverware. If you like a more fancy high end rental you might want to look at another option. The house works great if you are accustomed to more of the old style houses in the outer banks.

Great little space!

This is a great little beach house away from the hustle of Nags Head. The bar setup underneath the house is a great addition! Only about a block away (if that) from several beach access. The platform on top of the house is great to sit back and enjoy the stars!

There is nothing better than sitting on the deck at Sky Box, either watching the sunrise, or look...

There is nothing better than sitting on the deck at Sky Box, either watching the sunrise, or looking up at the stars at night...all while being lulled by the incredible waves below. The view is nothing short of magnificent. And you can even see the ocean from just about every window inside the cottage. Watching, and hearing, the ocean breaking under the cottage is breathtaking.
