This was the perfect home for our Kenai part of our Alaska vacation! It was clean, bigger in person than the photos make it look even, very well stocked with so many essentials and just wonderful! It had a nice fire pit area with chairs outside and a convenient location close to town! We would definitely come and stay again! Thanks so much for an amazing stay!
Comfortable home. Everything we needed for our stay. Upstairs shower was slow to drain. Beautiful setting surrounded by woods. Nice outdoor fire pit area but no wood provided.
We absolutely loved this property! Really fun upstairs with the bedrooms together. The coffee bar downstairs was great, as well as the kitchen and large table. Our family in Anchorage has bookmarked this property to stay in the future!
I visited Alaska with 4 other friends. We flew in to Anchorage, rented a van and traveled 3 hours to Kenai. We stayed in the Kenai Cottage for about a week. The cottage was very clean and had plenty of beds to accommodate the 5 of us. The kitchen was spacious with plenty of dishware for the cooking that we did. There was a neat fire pit that we opted not to use due to the shear number of mosquitos directly outside the house. But it is there and would make for a great outdoor grill sesh. We did make use of the grill next to the front door though. Overall, we had a fantastic time and really appreciated the property and it's host.
Lovely home with wonderful hosts! We were in town for a long weekend to support our son's hockey team. The home was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive even offering to run over with jumper cables when our car battery died. We would definitely stay here again!
This property is ideally located close to everything in Kenai. And, our group had several trips over to Soldotna and we had an easy commute to those obligations as well from this property.
There is ample parking, though we had only one vehicle and the area was plowed and ready for our arrival. We had the key code to get into the house and absolutely were thrilled with everything. The description of it and reality matched exactly.
We did have to reach out to the owner on something and she was incredibly prompt and responsive to our needs. Kristie was wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend this property whether your travels take you this area in winter or summer. It's comfortable, well equipped, and met our every need.
Some things were as clean as should of been but the house was beautiful and very comfortable.
Kristi was helpful and got back to you right away. I just feel who ever she has to clean needs some tips. Needs a note on dryer to check the lint vent. All and all when minor things are worked out a great home to vacation in.
Terrific, location, amenities and communication. Beds were all very good, kitchen superb and property very comfortable. Exceeded expectations! We already booked next years stay đ
The house was a great size for our group of four. It was cozy and provided all that we needed. The location is great. 2 miles to Wal-Mart, but very quiet. We watched two swans from the kitchen window. Definitely would say again.
I am a lifelong Alaskan, mother, wife, and business owner. The Kenai Peninsula is a beautiful area with everything to offer: friendly people, rivers, mountain, oceans, beaches, shops and restaurants. I hope Kenai Away will be a respite and a retreat. A place to recharge, and a place from which to launch. We have prepared it just for you! Enjoy your stay.
This woodsy custom home will make you want to stay a while! Downstairs is the custom kitchen, dining area, living area, separate chest freezer for your catch, TV w Roku, and laundry. Upstairs are three bedrooms plus a bonus area with extra space to work, relax, or let the children spread out. The home was custom built by its original owner and he spared no detail with beautiful touches from the windows to the woodwork.
You will feel like you are in your own playground - with outdoor fire pit and space to breath. Just 2.5 miles from the Kenai airport, and within a mile from Kenai's shops, cafes, golf course and trails. Also within a five to ten minute drive are the beaches and Kenai River. This street is adjacent to the "Unity Trail" - the bike trail makes a 22 mile loop between Kenai and Soldotna.
