We five women loved being here. It was a quick walk down to the beach. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was a quick walk down to the beach. We will be returning!
Another great vacation making memories in this lovely home. Perfect location close to the beach. Plenty of room for the whole family including the fur baby! Great back yard with bbq fire pit and my favorite, a spa. The kitchen well stocked. Hope to be next year for more fun!
If you are familiar with Dillon Beach you will love this house. I was surprised how easy the access to the beach was give the location of this property. A short walk down the road leads to a trail that lands you on the beach in less than 5 minutes from the door. And if you didnât get enough of the ocean the view from the living room includes plenty of the pacific and Bodega Head. Plenty of sleeping space for our party of 6 adults, two kids, and a baby.
We absolutely loved our thanksgiving beach weekend!
The location is amazing and the main living area is cozy with a perfect large farm-like table to enjoy board games and a nice morning cup of coffee with a spectacular view! The hot tub was lovely too. We hope to return.
Great location. Quick walk to the beach. Clean and comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen. Nice fenced back yard with a grill. We had a great time.
Perfect location. Property was exactly as presented. Messages promptly returned. Loved it. Hope to go with family at least once a year. You should add the wildlife to description. We had a deer family, turkeys, and a neighborhood cat
Thank you for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful time. The house is stocked with most everything you need. The view of the ocean is great and the beach was amazing, and so dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Darling inside and out! Perfect location, short walk to trail that leads to the beach or you can just enjoy the view from the dining room table. Love that it is mainly single story except a few bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. Well equipped, comfy beds, plenty of towels. We will be back for sure!
Our family enjoyed a lovely weekend at this Dillion beach home. Location is perfect for taking morning strolls on the beach and walking distance to the market. We thoroughly enjoyed this home with its comfortable and well appointed living areas and backyard with wood laid out in the firepit and inviting hot tub. Great place to stay if youâre considering a Dillon beach vacation.
Felt like home and the biggest plus was having the beach path so close! Also was good that there was an enclosed backyard where bikes could be stored safely. Neighbors and other locals who we met were lovely. We hope to be back!
Really enjoyed this eclectic home that has a lot of character. Large front windows to give a gorgeous view of the ocean. Beautiful back yard with hot tub, fireplace and grill. House is well equipped with everything you need and is a comfortable place to be. Everything was clean when we arrived. Checkin instructions nice and easy even in needing to access the lock box. It was a perfect home for our girls trip. Would definitely stay here again.
This home is casual and comfortable and is ideal for a multi-generational family. Our group consisted of me, my sons and their families which included my adult and teen-aged grandchildren and two dogs. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and the fire pit in the evening. Everyone agreed that we should make this a yearly event!
This was a magical place to spend our family Christmas. Nothing compares to the gathering around that table with the view. From the days at the beach to the evenings in the hot tub and around the campfire, all was provided for our stay. So many towels and enough blankets to keep us dry and warm, the host provided even to the detail of brand names of soaps and shampoos. The upstairs space was perfect for all the cousins (6 of them under 10) and even our dog was a welcomed guest.
We loved the home and the hosts are great. We only had one glitch: we wanted to watch the Giants game and couldnât get the Dish network on any of the TVs. There were no instructions so we didnât know whether or not the Dish Network was still part of their package.
Other than that, it was pretty perfect. Close to the beach, nice sized decks, very clean, games, foosball, fireplace, fire pit (didnât use that). Spa, beautiful view, lots of deer.
There were several things not working. The microwave doesnât heat. The freezer door opens every time you close the fridge door. The mattress on the fold out bed has mold. The dishwasher never did dissolve the soap pod.
The location is perfect and the front deck really helps. I would say itâs suitable for six guest max and needs some repairs
My family had a great time on this house in Dillon Beach. The house has a interesting 70âs decoration but we all liked it and found it very functional and fun. It is located just a short walking distance from the beach and the front large windows on the dining room proportionate to the great view from the ocean. The owner allowed us to bring with us our small dogs and they also had a blast going to the dog friendly beach of Dillon Beach. The fence in the backyard has collapsed but the owner is on the way of constructing it back and they told us about it before we went to the house. You still have relative privacy when using the hot tub or hanging out around the fire pit. The kitchen is well furnished with all you need to cook a meal for the family. We found the house clean and check in was with no problems. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place. We will recommend it to friends in the future.
Being the first gathering of our family together since before the pandemic we wanted a special place for this reunion. Two of our sons live in Santa Rosa, so Dillion Beach seemed like a good place for us to converge, with one son's family in Kentucky, and our daughter and son in law, and my wife and I in Washington state. The beach was wonderful and kept our two grandsons occupied during the daytime. There was plenty of room in the house for the 10 of us. Furnishings were tastefully done, plenty of cooking utensils and gadgets supplied, and the backyard was set up for cozy evenings outside by the fire, although during our stay it got pretty chilly outside once the sun set, and we didn't actually use the fire pit or hot tub (next time!). Picturesque view out to the bay from the picture windows in the dining room, (but shades would have been useful once the evening sun sank to eye level.) I think the owner has a winner here. I hope to rent it again in the future!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. It was well stocked throughout and the location is unbeatable.
In the backyard, The hot tub was lovely, and the outdoor shower was a bonus to rinse off after walking in the sand at the beach, and made rinsing off the dog super easy, too. The gate was easy to open and close, and the fully fenced and tidy back yard was a safe place for the dog to wander around in.
The kitchen had all pots and pans needed for several different meals. The microwave worked just fine. I think the oven ran a little cool, so just note that when you are cooking and maybe crank up the heat a bit. The dining area was comfortable for all six of us.
The beds and bedrooms were comfortable. One thing I do want to note here is they provided some difficulty for my older relative, as the stairs are very steep, and she was unable to go up and down the stairs. The bedroom on the ground floor has a VERY tall bed (like 4 feet tall), so she needed help getting in and out.
We had a great time and would definitely consider staying here again.
Jenn grew up in San Francisco and Ryan grew up in Pittsburgh, PA moved to SF in his early 20s. We currently reside in Marin County with our son and two English Bulldogs. Ryan grew up watching surf and skate videos from California and always dreamed of having a CA beach house. Jenn, a born and raised city girl fell in love with the natural beauty and serenity of Dillon Beach.
It is a quintessential California Beach House built in 1968 by the developer of the community. We love that the home has history and character. The developer picked the location for the views, the stability of the land, and the 100+-year-old cypress tree that shades the property. The backyard is large and private which we love and additionally, the front porches are great for morning coffee, afternoon wine, and gorgeous sunsets.
The floorplan is efficient and open yet provides plenty of room for sleep and allowing everyone to have their own space. This makes the property great for groups.
This is the best location in Dillon Beach because you are a 1-minute walk to the beach path. Unlike the crowded town with no parking or the properties on the hill that get caught in the fog and are not walkable to the beach or town. Whale Tail Bahay is accessible to town and the beach on foot, plus it has parking for 4 cars. Once you arrive you don't have to get back in your car until you leave.
