Lakefront home on beautiful Lime Lake in the Leelanau Peninsula
This two bedroom, two bath lake house home is a delight to experience. With 125 feet of frontage and your own pier, you can venture out on Lime Lake with either a row boat, paddle boat or kayaks. Water is shallow near the shore and safe for children. Water is clear with good visibility. The area is beautiful, and Sugar Loaf Mountain is across the lake. In the past there was snow skiing at Sugar Loaf, but now there is golf on the par 72 "Old Course. "The property typically rents for a week at a time, Friday to Friday, at $1,800/week.
The house was clean and comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5 during our stay. We like to cook most of our meals and the kitchen had everything we needed and more! Lime Lake is beautiful and we loved having backyard access to jump right in! The three kayaks were also a huge bonus! The location is perfect for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Leelanau Peninsula. We had an amazing time and look forward to visiting again next summer!
The location of this property in proximity to the areas we wanted to visit was great, however the cabin itself is on a busier road and you hear all of the road noise which made sleeping in difficult. Based on the description of the property, I knew it would be dated in terms of the decor, but I was extremely disappointed by the lack of cleanliness. There were cobwebs and bugs everywhere, and it is in desperate need of a deep clean. In addition, the property was just not functional for our family (2 adults & 2 teens). It is very small, the back patio door was broken (which we were not made aware of prior to our arrival) and the dryer stopped working during our stay. I texted the emergency number and didnât receive a response back. Lastly, the water is beautiful and crystal clear, however it is very squishy when you step into it which was a pretty big deterrent for my teenage twins.
Three adults and my Grand Son. Wow, everything you need for all ages of fun and centrally located to Glen Arbor, Leland, Traverse City and more⊠thanks for responding so quickly when I had a concern.
Lime Lake is a gem. The water is so clear. The cottage is very small and dated, but very well equipped and it provided a perfect getaway for our family. We would certainly return.
Lots to do and see since the house is centrally located to the beautiful heritage trails and scenic SBD National Park. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the deck and taking out the kayaks.
The only small issues were a broken cutlery drawer that will fall to the floor if not careful, and the cleaning folks missed some food left on the carpet in a couple rooms. That was surprising as the house was extremely well cleaned on our last visit. We hope to visit again next year!
The Lime Life house is very clean and is in an excellent location. It was easy to get to Empire/Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Traverse City and Suttons Bay from the house. It is also a very short (5 minutes or so) drive to the start of the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail. The water on Lime Lake is beautiful and clear and we spent time swimming and using the kayaks.
We really enjoyed our trip to the area. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We spent every day on the beautiful lake enjoying the kayaks and paddle boat. We will definitely stay here again!
The house was so cute and had everything we needed. The location is amazing. Lime lake is so clear and clean. John was very helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again.
AWESOME place with all the conveniences of home. GORGEOUS frontage on Lime Lake, a small all-sports inland lake with sandy firm bottom and the clearest water ever. Nice amenities with kayaks, paddleboat and row boat. Loved our time on the lime.
Everything went wonderful. The property was beautiful it had everything we needed the lake was amazing the area had so much to do we would love to come again
