We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was equipped with everything we needed. The view of Big Glen was fantastic. It was clean and comfortable. Communication was quick and easy with any questions we had. We have been coming to Big and Little Glen for over 30 years. We love Glen Arbor and the area. Thank you for sharing your house with us.
This property truly gets 5 stars! It seriously did not lack a thing! Location was excellent and there was nothing that we needed that this house did not come with. We have a family with kids 18 and older. If you are looking for a beach area for little ones there really isn't one, however there is a dock and the water is very shallow. If you're debating on booking this property don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed!
We had a wonderful time and the house had everything that you wanted. We brought our boat and kept in on the mooring ball for the week . The drive way was very steep to back down. We swam in front of the house in the beautiful water, the lake is clear and beautiful! We look forward to coming back next year!
Our family has stayed in Glen Arbor nearly every summer for the past 15 years and we have rented quite a few houses. This house was by far our favorite!
First of all, the view of Big Glen from the backyard is STUNNING! We spent nearly every night of our 2 weeks stay enjoying sâmores by camp fire and/or wine and cheese on the back patio. Birdwatching and star gazing was super fun!
The lake is PERFECT for families with kids. It is very shallow for a very long way out so we never felt uncomfortable having our kids swim and play.
The house itself had the perfect layout for our needs. I especially loved the upstairs bathroom layout⊠very spacious counter and vanity area. Our bedroom mattress was super comfortable and we had great sleep every night. We appreciated the AC in all the bedrooms and living room space.
We encountered one slight plumbing issue while we were there, but Norm was super responsive and ensured it was fixed immediately. He and Tonya were a pleasure to work with!
The location is perfection, 10 minutes to Empire Beach and maybe 5 minutes to downtown Glen Arbor. We also loved the proximity to On The Narrows Marina :)
We loved our 2 week vacation there and canât wait to go back one day!
That view will keep me coming back year after year. The pictures don't do it justice. The home itself is great too! Lots of space and large bedrooms, two with a balcony overlooking the lake. We were impressed with how clean and orderly the house was. Just top-notch!
The house was in disrepair. Leaking A/C unit in the living room, crazy caulking job around the house; furniture in the living room was not as shown. Instead, we found VERY uncomfortable futons. Pots and pans were dirty. Dog poop in the yard. We loved the location, but we wouldn't rent again.
This home was perfect for us and very cozy. The view of Glen Lake is spectacular. Restaurants and shops are close by and the owner was very kind. We loved it.
Wonderful, well-stocked lake house - breathtaking views and nice location
Really incredible location and cozy home. The views are breathtaking and it's a roughly 10 min drive to downtown Glen Arbor or Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore. Home itself is very spacious and functional - it could definitely sleep multiple families. Some rooms are a bit dated but the furniture is very comfortable and the owners are updating the home over time. If traveling with infants, I'd recommend bringing a heavier sheet to hang over windows as the window treatments provided don't block the light. The house is well stocked with kitchen cooking items and toys/puzzles for kids and adults alike. Driveway could easily fit two cars. The home heated very well and it was great to be able to control the heat per room. Outdoor space is perfect for hanging out and letting our dog and toddler burn some energy. While at the home we saw a red fox, great horned owl, and bald eagle. It really is special. The owner was very generous with his recommendations and we had an amazing trip. We will definitely be back.
The house was perfect for our 10 day stay. We were celebrating our 51st anniversary with a few close relatives. It was comfortable and we loved the location. Too chilly to enjoy the water but the firepit was great at night. The owner was available by text for any problems. Our two dogs loved the yard and the wooden area behind the house. Only thing I would change is the lack of TV stations.
My wife and I, two daughters. and two sons-in-law plus our 10 month old grandchild spent a totally enjoyable week at this lake house. The lake is beautiful, calm, plenty of shallow water, and perfect for just chilling out. We did kayak and paddle board trips every morning and afternoon, and toasted s'mores around the fire pit most evening. A great vacation.
Quiet, peaceful location. Full kitchen/dining area, bathrooms stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Plenty of towels, beach towels, linens. Nice sitting area overlooking the lake, great for evening campfire. Games, toys, kayak. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There are many steep steps down to the beach and no sandy beach.
We had an amazing stay at this property. The view of the water is one of the best on the lake. The place was very clean and the owners were very responsive and provided answers and assistance to all questions. We will definitely be coming back!
The view is beautiful, everyday it was breath taking. The property had everything anyone would need. The house was clean and roomy. It was really nice to have air conditioning the week we stayed. We had small children under two and it worked out very well. There are several steps to the lake but very manageable.
This was our first visit to Northern Michigan. We spent a lot of time researching the many different lakes and towns. Glen Lake and Glen Arbor absolutely exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous. The house was perfect and the owners were warm, welcoming, and made the check-in/out process a breeze. The location canât be beat. We loved the dock for swimming with our dog. We greatly enjoyed all that âdowntownâ has to offer and went to Arts Tavern three times in a week. We also hiked the dunes; went kayaking at Crystal River, and rented a pontoon boat. Canât wait to come back next summer!
