This is the second time we stayed at this cottage to observe the fall colors in Michigan. We love the quaintness of the cottage and the great views of the lake. The owners, Bob and Caroline, are absolutely wonderful and we plan to return in the future.
This nice cozy cottage was on Lake Leelenau and offered great views of the lake. The cottage was very clean and came with all of the items needed for an enjoyable stay. The owners were great people and made us feel welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone considering a great experience in the Leelenau peninsula.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. We were impressed by the updated kitchen. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting in the chairs on the dock. The owners were very friendly.
The Cottage was the perfect place to rest after a long day of wine and beer tastings around the Leelanau Peninsula! The neighborhood was quiet and the cottage was cozy with great views of the lake!
My wife and I stay in Northern Michigan every fall and have stayed at several VRBOâs. This one was one of the cleanest, in a great location and had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway.
My mom, aunt, and I came up for a wine tasting weekend and we couldn't have been happier with this little cottage on the water. The cottage has everything you could need and is close to many wineries.
Situated on the west bank of Lake Leelanau, "Drag On In" offered a restful stay. Easily visit Traverse City, Sutton's Bay, Cedar, Leland, and Northport.
Gracious hosts and a cozy vacation home make for an excellent visit.
Reminiscent of old time up north cabins with knotty pine walls and ceilings, except the kitchen and bathroom have been updated; and the floors, windows, roof and siding have all been replaced. And there's internet of course... we couldn't survive without wifi. All in all this was a cozy place to stay for a week, and the grounds are immaculate. We rented kayaks and there's a convenient spot to launch from shore, and a private dock with chaise longues to just kick back and enjoy life at the lakeside.A few side notes: 1) There's a nice gas grill, but bring your own metal spatula if you plan to flip burgers. 2) Anything left overnight in the lawn area will get soaked. The automatic sprinklers come on early every morning. 3) We brought extra towels since thereâs no washer/dryer, but it wasn't necessary. We could have stayed a month and not gone through all the towels they provided. 4) It's a pretty quiet area and the neighbors are nearby but friendly. You'll remember the name of the dog next door after you hear his owner call him a few dozen times.
Perfect for a weekend getaway. The cottage was clean with all amenities. Easy 20 minute drive to Traverse City. We were very content sitting on the dock reading our books in the sunshine.
The cottage was well maintained. Beautiful gardens!! It lacks a paved walkway to the door.(I am using a cane).
The WiFi code provided by the website was incorrect.
Loved the fire pit.
Overall a great stay! Thank you!
We had a nice stay at this lovely spot in the middle of the Leelanau Peninsula. I had a fair amount of trouble finding the cottage - itâs tucked behind the ownerâs garage. No phone number was provided for the property manager, but I did eventually locate the cottage. An added bonus were all the beautiful flowers on the property!
It was a lovely place to stay. Beautiful sunrises. Very clean house. Unfortunately the first night we noticed the hot water smelled like eggs/sulfur. The owner was very responsive and found the issue the next day. Even though the issue couldnât be resolved during our stay, it could be resolved prior to the next guest.
The cottage has beautiful âup northâ character. Gorgeous lake views and gardens. It was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Lake side porch area is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening wine. Our grandson thoroughly enjoyed the dock and swimming area. We will definitely return.
Lake Leelanau is one of the area's most beautiful lakes. Clear, narrow and 22 miles long, this lake is normally safe for all types of boating. Sandy bottom, shallow sloping shore is safe for children and the lake is also a great fishing site. Restaurants and wineries accessable by boat.
