Norwood Cottage est une maison récemment rénovée située sur le lac Michigan à seulement une heure et demie de Chicago. Une modeste maison de deux chambres sur 4 acres de bois avec parc public et accès à la plage au bout de l'allée. À seulement 10 minutes de St. Joesph / Benton Harbor au sud, Coloma à l'ouest et à 15 minutes de South Haven au nord.

Profitez du foyer extérieur pour les nuits d'été et d'automne ou d'un foyer d'hiver confortable à l'intérieur les soirs d'hiver. Une cuisine complète est à votre disposition, avec deux chambres avec 3 lits queen size et tous les draps fournis. Une baignoire jacuzzi pour se détendre.

Salle à manger extérieure, jeux d'intérieur, chaises de plage, parasol, glacière tous disponibles pour l'usage et le plaisir des invités.

Que vous visitiez pour le plaisir de la plage d'été, les activités d'automne, les activités d'hiver ou simplement pour vous évader le temps d'un week-end. Cette maison est parfaitement située pour profiter de tout le sud-ouest du Michigan.

Amazing stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here! 15 min north of St Joseph but we loved the home and beach access that we only went into town once! Would stay here again! Clean, great owners, great secluded beach!

Very nice property and dog friendly. Inside was gorgeous with all the amenities. Beach was right across the street and the views from the front porch were amazing!

We really enjoyed our visit to Michigan. The property is beautiful! The cabin is very clean, fully stocked and comfortable. It's secluded with lots of privacy, but also a short drive to restaurants, shopping, etc. Plus, the beach is right across the street.

Beautiful Location, Great Experience

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The location across from a public beach was ideal and yet the cottage felt secluded & private up on a hill & surrounded by trees. The decks provided great outdoor gathering spaces & the inside was comfortable with plenty of space. The decor showcasing local artists was a nice touch. The kitchen was well equipped & had everything we needed to cook meals all weekend. Beds were comfortable & there were plenty of linens. Would love to stay here again!

Great get away for a few days

My 11 year old daughter, our two dogs, and myself were quite happy here with proximity of two beaches and spectacular view of Lake Michigan from the top of the bluff. I wish we could have had it for a week, but someone snagged it before we could. Coloma has a quaint downtown and 11 miles north off St. Joseph. I think we will be going back. Thank you Wanda and Brett.

Good location between South Haven and Benton Harbor

Lots of privacy. Loved grilling out and watching the beautiful sunsets. House was clean and supplied with all the comforts of home. Didn’t use the fire pit or fireplace, but both were nice options for cold nights. Thanks Wanda for sharing your home!

Amazing! Will book again!

This property was beautiful and safely secluded. It was a convenient distance right in between St. Joseph and South Haven. The view of the lake from the front porch was perfect to start and end each day. We also enjoyed a bonfire with s'mores one night as well! The house has such a neat set up with everything you could possibly need! I have nothing but good things to say about this property, and I am hoping to take my family back to this same property in the future.

Perfect Winter Lake Getaway

Lovely, comfortable cottage, just as pictured and described. Beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Lots of parks and beach walking as well as lighthouse viewing opportunities. House was well prepared for visitors, including outdoor seating and fire pit. Beds very comfortable and spa tub very relaxing. Great location for our first visit to southwest Michigan. Took day trips to see St Joseph, South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland. Wonderful restaurants. Overall fabulous trip. We will be back!

Family Vacation

Very clean, well appointed home. Perfect for our family of four and little dog. Lovely beach across the road. Spent time in Saugatuck, South Haven, St. Joseph. House is a nice location to get to all. Plus vineyards around. Watched the sunset from the deck and down at the beach. Wanda was excellent in communication and help. We all enjoyed ourselves and felt right at home.

Secluded fun

We loved being across a quiet highway RIGHT next to beach access. Sunsets and hanging by lake during evening was lovely. Hard to pull us away from the porch where we read and listened to music during the day. Pet friendly amenities including doggy dishes if you needed them. Clearly had made investments into home and property. We loved it! You will travel a bit for groceries but we wanted to get away which was the point and perfect for us! Easy peasy happy campers!

Summer Vacation

This spot perfectly suited our needs. It's close to the beach (small public beach across the street from the end of the driveway) as well as close proximity to St. Joseph and South Haven. Also house is perfect for our dog that we brought to the beach several times daily. The house is so clean and everything is new. Beds are very comfortable and the sunsets from the deck are incredible. We had a great time around the fire pit nightly as well. Wanda is great and really on top of everything. We will be back.

A cute getaway

We rented in Oct 2022 and had a great time. The cabin is clean and modern, with all the right decorative accents to make it feel homey. It is adjacent to a local highway, but raised above it on a bluff so that there is little road noise. Also, despite the worries of other reviewers, the highway was not busy: we had no problems crossing it with our two small dogs to get to the beach directly across from the cabin. The property is very centrally located which allowed us to spend time exploring both the New Buffalo / Three Oaks and the Saugatuck / Fennville areas. And don’t miss Benton Harbor / St. Joseph, we highly recommend Houndstooth. We very much enjoyed the property, and would return.

Comfortable, well equipped cottage

Wanda, the owner, was very cordial and responsive to all issues that arose. (For example, power was lost one day dud to a storm.She immediately called the power company and made sure they made the necessary repairs within hours.) The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. While access to the beach was impossible due to erosion, there were a number of nice beaches within 30 minutes driving time. Overall, this was a good experience and I would recommend it I'd you dont mind driving to beaches and services.

Perfect spot!

We absolutely loved our stay, and wished we could have stayed longer! The house was beautiful, we loved the kitchen! We were here at the end of August and it was a bit of a heat wave and we remained cool and comfortable in the house. We noticed a yellow jacket nest starting near one of the doors and Wanda had pest control there the next morning to take care of it. We were 10/15 minutes from St. Joseph and 15 minutes from South Haven. Lots of restaurants nearby to enjoy. We had our dog with us and the entire area was very dog friendly. We were at the beach almost every day. At the height of summer, we had zero issues crossing the street to get to the beach across the street. Every single night the sunsets kept getting better. 100% recommend :)

Between the touristy cities lies this peaceful gem.

This little house is absolutely beautiful. It was clean and well stocked and complimented with the most beautiful artwork, dotted around the home. Our family enjoys staying off the beaten path and this house was the perfect distance from all the action—a 15-minute drive in either direction provided food, supplies, and amenities when needed, but kept us away from the hustle. The beach across the road was much less densely populated than its neighboring public beach areas, too. To get to the public beach, you walk down the driveway, across the highway, through the parking lot, and down a sand dune. This works out well for privacy and is something to also keep in mind when considering children. The driveway has a circular loop, as if they knew we'd be brining a trailer for bikes and kayaks, too! Overall a wonderful experience in a fantastic location!

A Special Place

Very pleased with this lovely cottage. The home is just as pictured in the listing photos, but I don’t feel they quite do the property justice. The spaces are generous and finished with a high degree of quality. The two comfortable sofas were perfect for lounging and reading and gaming. The bedrooms provided ample space and comfort. And the kitchen and bath have been beautifully finished with very well maintained appliances and hardware. There is ample outdoor seating on both the front and back decks and solid chairs around the fire pit. The cottage has been carefully stocked with all that you need to enjoy a vacation: wonderful kitchen amenities; games and books; beach gear; a quality gas grill. An added plus for our family was the beautiful art which decorates the cottage - both Wanda and Brett are talented artists. The location is very private - I would call it a woodland island. The cottage sits atop a bluff and is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs with a view of Lake Michigan across the street. The sandy beach across the street was great for hanging in the sun - plenty wide enough for us to set up chairs and umbrella with our son and dogs. Such a relaxing place!

We had such a great time staying here! The cottage was adorable, clean and airy and in a great location. We could just walk down the long driveway, cross the street and we were at a small roadside park/beach. The only thing to be aware of is that the beach isn’t very large, but users can keep walking along the water line (but don’t stray into the private property part) or go to a larger beach that’s only a 5 minute drive. Even though the cottage is right across from the beach, it was still quiet and relaxing. The cottage was clean and well stocked with everything we needed (plush towels, various kitchen supplies, flashlights, card games, etc.). In addition, they provided wood for both the fireplace and outside fire pit, which we didn’t end up using, but it was great to have the option. The cottage is at the top of a hill overlooking the lake, so we were able to watch the sunset every night without even leaving the property (but the beach across the street also had great views when we wanted a closer peek.) We brought our puppy and she loved running around the property and the beach! The only other thing to call out is that google maps tried to take us on the next street and the driveway is set back so we ended up looping back to find it. But that’s such a minor detail that will get resolved!

We are Michigan vacationers for over 10 years. We rented homes and brought our pets with us each year to the lake. The home we regularly booked was suddenly unavailable and we were crushed. We turned the event in to a positive and searched for a home to share with families who desire to bring their pets them with on vacation.
