Excellent location and a lot of nice little touches. Private beach was stunning but as other reviewers have said it is a steep hill. The pool was great and not busy at all while we visited. My son loved the games and kids books. There are nice towels but not wash clothes so plan to bring your own of those. Quick and easy drive into town - for young kids, donât miss the kids museum. We also enjoyed the blueberry farm just down the road.
The rental was just as described and shown in the photos. Very clean and had everything we needed (a hairdryer & extra hooks for hanging wet towels & swimsuits would have been the only thing that would have been nice to have) The pool was warm and perfect for 2 young boys. Everyone we met was very nice. Would def recommend - thanks for a great stay!
Family had a blast. Short walk to the beach. It was like having our own private beach. The pool was awesome for the kids to warm up in after getting cool in the lake.
Had a short stay in Coloma and loved Lake Michigan. The host got back quickly to any messages. The trail to the beach is very steep (hard for an eight month pregnant lady, lol), but was very pretty. The cleaning lady was also very helpful and sweet.
Our family of 4 loved the condo. It was easy to get to the place was very clean. And to have access to a private beach was awesome. Just wished it came with a golf cart. Other then that great stay
Great place to stay. The condo was great for our family of five and was well stocked with all the little things like napkins, trash bags, dishwashing pods, games, books, night lights and things to make it like home that have been left out at other places we have stayed. The only thing missing is a golf cart rental. The hill to the beach was tough with 3 kids and all their stuff even with a wagon, but this is the best section of beach. The beach was wider than nearby areas and most other areas had stairs to access the beach. Close access to the pool was also very nice.
The condo was a perfect size and has everything you need! We have a 7 and 4.5 year old and the bunk beds worked out great. Itâs a 5-10 minute walk to a very private beach, however just know itâs a pretty steep hill to go up and down to access it. But there is a great viewing area to watch the sunset and we were the only ones on the beach most of the time during our stay! This was our first time to Lake Michigan and we canât wait to come back!
What a beautiful property and location. Our host was very friendly and responded fast! The place was clean and had everything you could need while being away from home. We didnât see the sun shine one time on our stay and my family had an absolute blast enjoying the pool and private beach as well as some of the local activities suggested by our sweet host!!

This was a very cozy, quiet and relaxing place. The people were friendly and open if we needed anything. The pool was clean and warm. The hill down to the beach was very steep. The location being within a 10min. drive to two towns that are just adorable. The shops and restaurants are wonderful. I would stay here again because of the friendly and cleanness of the property.
This is a cute and comfy space that served as a perfect location for wine tasing in the area. It was clean and provided all the necessary amenities. We loved having access to the pool. We would have liked to enjoy the lake, too, but one member of our party couldn't handle the numerous uneven steps that led down to Lake Michigan. This feature should be noted in the property listing.
Nice location. Very remote feel. Within a 10 minute drive to St. JOSEPH. Private beach was nice but steep without a golfcart. Beautiful views. Only downside, no laundry facilities in unit. They are a short walk away. Very clean. Needed more wash cloths. Plenty of towels. Nice fridge. My daughter loved the assortment of board games.
It was great being in the middle of St Joseph and South Haven so we could explore both towns. The beach access at this property is super steep, so if you plan on carrying anything down (kids, bags, ect) look into getting a golf cart. Pool was clean and very warm. I think there are about 12 other units in this building, so lots of other families but we didnât mind! Having to put away the clean dishes at check out was very inconvenient. I understand loading/starting the dishwasher, but feeding the family early enough for the cycle to run and then dry/put away dishes while trying to get out by 11:00 was definitely a challenge.
The condo itself was nice. There was an issue with loud noises from upstairs, but when we messaged the property manager they took care of it right away. We went the second half of June during the hottest week of the summer so far, and the pool was NOT open. They apologized and were very kind...but it was very HOT and there was NO POOL during our entire stay. The description of "on a lake...on the waterfront" wasn't really accurate since there was another row of houses and a sizable drop-off between the property and the lake/waterfront. The description and photo of the walk to the beach was misleading. It was a 1/4 mile walk and a good deal of it was down a steep grade....which means UP a steep grade on the way back. We ended up spending time visiting the several nice wineries in the area and having a relaxing time, but we felt that the accommodations were not worth what we paid, all things considered.
Very rustic accommodations. Air conditioning does not reach bedrooms, thankfully it was never over 80 outside or we would have been miserable. Master bed is very uncomfortable, I never struggle with hotel beds but I had a horrible stiff neck from this bed. The living room rug is shag and the vacuum they provided does not work on the rug, it was pretty nasty. The towels and sheets are about as cheap as they come and really need to be replaced. There were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 5 nights. All kitchen supplies were very cheap as well, like dorm quality. Was pretty disappointed with the overall feel/supplies/amenities in the house for the price.
The pool was really great though. We did also like the beach but if you need to go the bathroom itâs a very rough 12 minute walk to go there and back (going up hill is no joke), which is a pretty big drawback.
We had a wonderful time. The condo was cozy and comfortable. I will say that there must not have been recent guests before us because we saw a lot of dust and cobwebs on the windows and room fans, but we cleaned it up as needed.
The walk to the beach was much further than we anticipated, thankfully our 4 year old is always up for an adventure as the path down and pack up is extremely steep. Other owners had golf carts which definitely makes the trek easier. One nice neighbor saw us about to walk up with all our beach gear & wagon and offered us a ride - which was amazing!
The private beach is beautiful with the bluffs. We had a great time playing on the beach and splashing in the waves!
I am a mother of 2 that lives in the suburbs of Chicago. I work full time and we are a busy family. We use this house as a getaway, and rent it out when we are not there. My kids LOVE coming here to spend time together away from our normal routines.
This is a hidden gem in Michigan. In between St Joe and South Haven, there is plenty to do in the area if you so chose or just spend a day at the property utilizing the beach and the pool.
