This is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Oahu! The space was clean and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. Itâs conveniently located within walking distance of the strip and offers easy access to H1 for exploring the island. The property manager made check-in and check-out a breeze! I highly recommend staying here if youâre visiting Hawaii.
We had a good stay. There were 7 of us, so the biggest challenge was only having 1 bathroom. Other than that, the space was good and the location was very convenient.
It was great to have parking onsite and we pretty much walked most of the places we wanted to go locally.
The location of this condo is good, but the pictures are misleading. The condo was not super clean and has a lot of maintenance issues. Itâs not a place you want to hang out for the day. We also rented a parking spot across the street through the host, while this was nice the spaces are very small and if you have a bigger vehicle it is tough to get in and out of the space. Primarily if there is already a car parked on both sides it is almost impossible to get out or into the vehicle. The host was very nice, and responded quickly to any questions we had. They also provided us with a lot of good advice while on the island.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
OAHU
I was led to believe that this was more like a family home/personal condos but the entire property is clearly only vacation rentals. Almost every unit uses the lock box system of check in. We stayed there and were grateful for the kitchen, full fridge and adequate air. The pull out bed was broken, there is black mold in the bathroom, there is counter repair in the kitchen done with duct tape and the stove top has burnt on crustiness (I do have pictures). Still, the unit did meet our basic needs so we are grateful. There was never any communication with the property manager.
Me and my family stayed here for almost a week, location was great because we were so close to most places. Check in/out was an easy process, parking was horrible. I recommend this place for young adults who just need a place to sleep. We were a family of 5 with two young toddler 4 and a 1 year old. The beds were very uncomfortable, it was old and sinked in deeply the loud sounds on the busy street our window was on, I did not sleep well here. No central AC but they have portables units in all rooms, bathroom was discussing with brown stains on the wall, broken towel hangers, dirty floors, smells like urine. After reviewing the parking situation people commented, it was truly horrible especially with kids! Elevators does not take you to the floor you're on so we have to carry both our strollers to the 5th level up and down. After 2 days of this, my Husband would just dropped us at the business office where the parking was located, while we waited for him to drive down then load the kids (best way to do this). I got harassed by the receptionist asian lady asking why we were sitting there if we have reservations with them and they're a private property. Ummm we paid for our parking and we notified the property owner about this the last day and of course no answer but they were quick to reply and ask when we were checking out. If you want something cheap, smelly, have no car or just don't care... this place is for you. Not for a family or someone handicap!
Our family stayed here while in town for a tournament at the Convention Center. The location was perfect. The apartment itself was a bit smaller and more run down than we expected, but definitely workable for us since we didn't expect to be spending much time inside. Unfortunately during our stay there was a problem with the central A/C that resulted in a bunch of water breaking through the bathroom ceiling above the shower in the middle of the night. We let the host know and she responded immediately and had someone there to repair it first thing the next morning. When the repair didn't take and the problem recurred, the host quickly took steps to move us to another property and get us set up with everything we needed.
While the repair issue and needing to pack up and move were frustrating in the moment, I can't say enough good things about the host. She was always quick to respond, and very accommodating to everything we needed, including holding mail for us and letting us stay past check-out time to help us out. Even though the repair issue was disruptive, we ultimately felt positively about our stay because the host showed us such care and concern. So we would recommend this host for sure!
Pictures were far from the reality. We knew something was wrong when we pulled up & there were no ramps to get luggage inside and police were all around the entrance dealing with a dispute that left us very uneasy. As we headed to our room, noticed that the carpet throughout the hallway was water stained & surely had mold. The room itself was a huge disappointment. There were large air conditioners taking up quite a bit of space in the bedrooms not to mention mismatched patio furniture, closets being used for storage so nowhere to really put your luggage. Shower looked like something you would find at a public pool...mold/mildew in the grout that could easily be treated with tilex so not sure what the cleaning fee is being used for but definitely not to keep the place up. We wound up getting a room at the Hilton that was cheaper & definitely felt safer! However, I will say the host was very understanding & gave us a full refund with no hesitation though that also tells you they knew the property was not up to par.
This was a perfect place to stay. I wish we would have had a parking place for the rental cars. I didn't see the notice on VRBO asking if we needed parking. I suggest if you do need parking. It would be nice if it was stated parking is extra and we need to let them know right from the beginning if you want to have parking. I kind of thought one stall would have come with the rental because it stated it under Amenities. My mistake in thinking this. The house was clean the couch bed needs a little attention. They did have umbrellas, chairs, and a boogie board for the beach which is within walking distance, and lots of stuff to do within walking distance. If you ever need to park try Elite Parking Service which is located at 1860 Ala M0ana Blvd. Turn right onto Ena Rd and on the left. It costs $25 for the night 5 pm-8 am and $20 for the day. great for families of all ages.
My family enjoyed our stay at this property. It had all the amenities we needed for our one-week stay. It was clean and organized and I would recommend it to friends.
3 of our party of 5 became very ill within 24 hours arrival at this property and a blast of moldy smell hit you in the face when you opened the door, bathroom caring was also mold spotted, no laundry facilities as they'd removed them the day we arrived and no parking was available. Thank goodness vrbo switched us over to a hotel where, immediately, the 3 persons who were sick felt better with the fresher air, we did lose the groceries we bought for a week and had no kitchen but everyone felt better, wasn't being propositionrdatthe entry of the place or hearing 2 someones screaming sporadically.. wearied contacting the owner but she didn't answer for 24 hrs, the. Wantedus to walk to a laundromat down 9 floors and down the block with 5 peoples laundry past people acting inappropriately... and who didn't care about the mold. Vrbo was great In that they moved us, agreed to cover the parking and resort fees that we had originally had under our first week rental. This owner really wrecked half of our week stay here. :( it was str a soul yo not have people well, not have laundry or parking.
This was our 1st trip to Hawaii and when we book this property we were expecting to have a great time. I mean the pictures look great, right?
Well⊠I do not know from where to start.
The property looks different in pictures than in reality (much worst), the smell of old building is terrible, the vents were extremly DIRTY so after breathing the air in the property we all become sick. What a nightmare! We were suppose to travel and see the island but our trip was compromised because we made this reservation.
I texted the pictures of dirty vents to the number added to this reservation but no answer so far. Plus they never asked us if we are good or if they can do anything for us.
Do not book this place, if you care about your health!
The stay at the Royal Aloha was both good and bad. The location could be better. At times, there were very sketchy people standing outside the building. The overall building doesnât seem to be kept very well, ripped carpeting in the walkways, security monitors but never a security guard. Checking in was easy and getting everything from the lockbox was easy. After we checked in, people came in to spray the kitchen for insects. Even after that, we found a very large bed bug in one of the rooms. Instructions for parking were not given. The parking was down an alley behind the building so it was unclear where to park. Sleeping in the double bed room was tough since the windows do not block out much sound. Cars and driving and honking early in the morning which goes through the windows very easily. If I returned to Honolulu, I would not stay at this location again.
We had good views from the balconys, the condo was clean and comfortable. Easy walking access to all of waikiki, shops, beaches and the mall. Close grocery store near by. Pool and BBQ were nice amenities also. We would totally stay here again.
Great price and communication with the property manager
Location was great next to a convenience store and a few eating places walking distance. Beautiful city view at night!
Comfortable for our family of 7!
