The condo's location was in proximity to everything and highly convenient for getting around. The condo itself was immensely cozy. Definitely recommend.
The place was clean and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and even had some essentials for your everyday cooking needs. Dan was extremely responsive when communication was required. Great place with easy access to transit and just a short walk to the beach and shopping. The only downside was the back bedroom was hard to cool down, but the ample fans did help.
There was snorkel gear, chairs, towels, etc. that we took to the beach each day. It was super nice to not have to rent any extra stuff when we wanted to go out :)
Property was good. I would have liked more than 1 bathroom with more than 2 adults, but we made it work. Weather did not cooperate but altogether made a fun family vacation. Close enough to the beach 20 mins walk. Yes would stay again
The condo is well-maintained and has great amenities for people visiting the area, such as dishes, extra towels, soaps/shampoo/conditioner. The condo owner, Dan Pearson, is very responsive and friendly!
It's about a 20-min walk to Waikiki Beach, The International Market Place, and Ala Moana Shopping Center, which is great if you plan to eat a lot but also want to keep active during your vacation! Lots of restaurants are within a 5-min walking distance, along with a 7-Eleven downstairs. There's a local parking garage on Niu St that's about $25-30 per night a block east of the property if you want to rent a car. Overall, it's a great place for tourists or even for a staycation.
Suite was well-equipped. Bed had a good firmness. Really appreciated the ceiling fan and floor fans to keep the place airy and cool. The location is great for walking to the beach and catching a bus to other sites. Street below is busy most of the time so there is lots of road noise (we still slept fine).
Cleaning was ok but not to professional standard (floors had a bit of debris and the bottom corner of shower curtain was a bit moldy). It would have been nice to have an extra set of keys since we had a larger group. Thanks for the great stay!
This was our second time visiting Hawaii from Australia and were a little hesitant at first in making a stayz.com booking. We were pleasantly surprised and found this accomodation not only met, but exceeddled our expectations.
The host was very approachable and communication during the booming process right up to the arrival was fantastic. The accomodation itself is a little older but the appartment had lots of charm and character, stocked with all the basics (and some more left over from previous guests #payitforward).
The location was perfect, being a little further out of the main strip allowed for exploration of all Honolulu had to offer and procided opportunities of discovering several hidden gem restaurants we would otherwise have missed being right on the strip.
Highly recommonded for price, charm, location, and ease of booking! Greatly appreciate allowing us to stay at your property!
The walk to the beach is about 10 to 15 mins via the Hilton Village Resort. Road noise was a bit of a issue as we live in a very quiet street at home. I must say the air conditioning was almost none existent. If it werenât for the fans in the bedrooms I wouldnât have been able to stayed there. The property owner Dan is very responsive to our requests. He provided us with an evening check out as our flight didnât leave until 2200 hours. We so appreciated his flexibility with accommodating our needs. The condo has everything you need and more e.g. beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella etcâŠ.
The property was ok. Very noisy but you get used to it. Kitchen was adequate, chairs were unstable and unsafe. Shower over bath needs more non slip stickers on the bath base. There was no plug for the bath tub. Once I saw the mattress protector and pillow protector I was horrified. In the other room she found a needle and thread in the bed she said she thought she was getting bitten by something. We had to wash/scrub the coffee cups as they were all stained. After we got home I had a query on the damage deposit and messaged Dan 4 times but he never responded once. There was no aircon for the week we were there but I think that was the whole building. 2 fob keys would be handy for 4 guests otherwise the other couple have to come down to let you in.
We stayed for 8 nights in early July. Family of 4 with 18 and 22 year old. Dan the owner was extremely responsive and helpful. His description of the property is accurate. It is in a great location walking distance to the Food Pantry grocery and to quick markets as well as the food truck park. We also walked to the restaurants and shops about 15-20 min away for a nice evening meal and shopping. For car rental next door in the Monarch Hotel lobby you can rent through 808smartcar. They are a great deal and you get a deal on parking 25 instead of 50 dollars a night. The cars aren't the latest and greatest but they get you around. Our best part of the unit was the Balcony, roomy and breezy. Laundry is at the end of the hall. Beach supplies are great and we did use the chairs, we went to Waikiki beach which is about a 15 minute walk go further down behind the Army Museum ( a must visit and free!) the beach is nice there and has a great cocktail stand run by the military on the beach. Our favorite beach was Waimanalo Beach Park, lots of parking and a local gem.
It was an amazing place to stay great pool nearby; and allowed a late checkout for us since our flight didnât leave til night. It can be a little nosey but you are in the middle of Wakiki so it makes sense.
Spacious and conveniently located condo on a busy street
This is a nice condo with lots of space to spread out. We appreciated all the beach gear. The owner was very accommodating. The street is a bit loud, but it is easy to walk to lots many places. Fun food truck plaza is right near by.
The condo was well-furnished and clean. Near restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Nice to have snorkeling equipment provided. Only problem was very high traffic area with seemingly constant sirens and loud cars and motorcycles. Dan was a very good host and responded quickly to inquiries. Mahalo.
The place was very nice and it was close to the beach. It was close to the intersection and was very noisy at night. The windows donât close which is normal for Hawaii so it was not possible to keep the noise out.
