We really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable, clean, and quiet little bungalow in a really great neighborhood with walking distance to great dining! Definitely will be coming back!
This place was exactly what we were looking for. It was quiet and secluded yet within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, coffee, etc. The apt. is ingeniously designed and very harmoniously decorated. Dean was congenial, easy to reach, and made us feel right at home. We hope yo return next time weâre in San Diego
Nice little place. Great for a short stay if you only have an overnight bag not a lot of room if you have a lot of luggage as there's nowhere to store them or lay them out. Amenities were good. Neighborhood is quiet but you need a car to get to anything.
Stayed here for a week with my girlfriend and the experience was nothing less than perfect. The room was more spacious than expected, comes with towels, shampoo, conditioner, the works! Great location as well. Wonderful neighborhood right in North Park with tons to do in the area. Dean was a great host and really made us feel like we were at home. This will be my first option from now on whenever staying in San Diego. Thank you for the experience.
Check in was super easy, the communication with the owner is quick and informative. Beautifully decorated, cute studio, perfect for a couple, cleverly organized so you can feel comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. The patio is great- a sweet private oasis in the city. The location is ideal. North Park neighborhood is quiet and welcoming, friendly people, unique and charming architecture, lush greenery. Several restaurants/cafe/food trucks in about 15-20min walk. We had a perfect vacay. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family and for sure come again.
My husband and I needed a place to rest each evening after full days of playing with grandchildren and helping our son and daughter in law prepare for an upcoming move. Miracle on 34th was the perfect spot for us! Form and function are both captured in this rental. Details are well thought out: such as the dimmable sconces by the bedside, the smartly fitted kitchen and the expanded feeling of space that the French Doors out to the courtyard provide.
We hope to return to make it a home base for the many excursions that are easily reached from this great location.
My parents had a magnificent stay at this property. It is exactly as described, and Dean has outfitted the place with all things for ease, even toothpaste and shaving cream (which my father appreciated). The little patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sun. If a person in the party has mobility issues, you should know that there are about 10 steps (including those leading up to the unit from the street and then to the front door). My father uses a cane but found them doable and worth the effort to arrive at the sweet place.
One of the things I always wanted to do was go whale watching . We accomplished that along with the harbor tour , zoo , museums and the hop on hop off . A note of advice would be make reservations for the aquarium . We didnât and it was sold out .
About the property . Itâs a well kept well ran rental that seems fifteen minutes from most attractions. I would stay again and would recommend it .
This studio apartment is clean, comfortable, and well decorated. We enjoyed walking from the house to South Park restaurants (especially Matteo for breakfast and gluten-free baked goods). We also enjoyed walking through the Burlingame historic district. Also, it was a short/easy drive to downtown.
This was our second stay and we will continue to return. Great location for a quiet respite and the cozy private patio is nice for morning coffee or afternoon book reading. Plenty of good food options within a short drive or pleasant walk.
Being the first time we used this booking service, we had no experience to base our expectations, however the property was clean and quaint, the host was gracious and attentive! The location was perfect for our weekly visit and all the excursions in sunny Southern California! Thank you Dean for your wonderful property and hospitality!!
It was a pleasure working w/ Dean. Communication was great and Dean was very accommodating. My wife loved every aspect of the studio. We will stay there again and recommend it to our family and friends.
We were visiting San Diego for a week and needed a place to stay near downtown. This studio apt was perfect and had everything we needed. Loved the front patio. We ate breakfast there every morning. The small kitchen fit out needs just fine. Bed was comfortable. The place is on a dead end street so there is no traffic. Itâs about fifteen minutes from the convention center. We loved the room and the location! Would definitely stay here again if we come back!
Really enjoyed our stay. AC was not on when we arrived and was controlled via the main house. But the host was very helpful to turn it on. The unit was super cute and private. Would stay again!! Pretty close to everything, but was deep in a residential area.
The property was just as described and even better. Everything we needed in a clean, well kept studio.
Quiet and private patio, very accommodating and accessible host. Great walkable neighborhood close to restaurants, Balboa Park and even a neighborhood brewery.
I highly recommend this property for a couple or a party of one. We will be sure to book it again on our next adventure to San Diego.
Hi! My name is Dean Burrows. I've been an independent real estate sales broker (Turn Key Real Estate) in San Diego for about 30 years. I've also managed rental properties for decades, and was an all 5 star "Super Host" on a platform that made me crazy, and rhymes with ErrorBnB. So happy to be with the HomeAway family. I'm a home remodel, and furniture consignment store, junkie. And love to entertain. So, hosting vacation rentals is right up my alley.
Most guests compliment me on the thoughtful and pleasing design of my properties, each with a private courtyard or garden. You'll immediately notice the great attention to detail. Other properties include VRBO1551179, a one bedroom canyon retreat, and VRBO2144636, a newly remodeled and redesigned two bedroom, one bath, 1920's Mediterranean with a Mid Century Modern, flair.
Location, location, location. Miracle on 34th Street offers the best of both worlds. Situated on a relatively quiet two block long dead-end residential street, the neighborhood is surrounded by the Juniper Canyon. Yet, just a 15-30 minute stroll away, you'll discover all that South Park, North Park, and Balboa park have to offer. And, in just a 15-30 ride away, you can be downtown, at the San Diego Zoo, or Sea World, or any number of beach communities, including Coronado, Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach.
