Exceptional attention to detail thru out. Living area boasts custom built-ins w/ work area, and flat screen. Dining area has custom seating, Sputnik chandelier, & overlooks outdoor Buddha fountain. All new custom kitchen will exceed your expectations, & is highlighted w/ an open lath & plaster feature wall. Kitchen French doors spill open to a private outdoor oasis with expansive deck, water fountain, & al fresco dining. 2 equitable bedrooms feature black out shades, mini split heat & air, ceiling fans, & all new designer furnishings. Walking distance to hip South Park, and North Park scenes. Downtown and Bay are a quick 10 minute Uber or Lyft ride away. Freeway close. Just a few minutes to San Diego's most famous attractions. Retro, Artistic home in North Park

A beautifully decorated home with fun art and colorful touches. We loved the outdoor spaces for wine hour and the big blue sofa for relaxing after a busy day! We also loved grocery shopping at Barons market! We hope to be back soon!

Perfect Property

The house was perfect. It was ideally located to give us easy access to North Park, Balboa Park, Little Italy, and Coronado. Dean was helpful at every step, and we look forward to staying here again.

Perfect stay at the Purple Panache

The bungalow is retro chic and comfy with interesting art and thoughtful touches that make you feel completely at home. Dean was a great host who made everything in the area easy to find and navigate. The home in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to nearby shops and restaurants, as well as the highway and nearby sites like Balboa Park. We loved staying there and would return again. The property is as good as the pictures show and other reviews indicate.

Simply wonderful !!!

Our group of four had a wonderful time in this beautiful house with all the amenities. A quiet and peaceful place in a charming neighborhood close to everything. And communication with the owner is very easy, helpful and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

A quirky space!

We loved our stay in this retro decorated home! The kitchen was well stocked so we could make brunch and sit around at the dining table! We also loved the beds firmness and layout of the home. Dean was super communicative and helpful as well. Would highly recommend this space for groups of 4!

Great location, beautiful yard and comfy home

Dean's home was clean, in good working condition and full of charm. The home was the perfect size for an extended stay for mostly myself and at times, one other person. Despite being on a busier street, no overnight noise. I enjoyed the walkability for groceries, coffee, restaurants and the proximity to the freeways for broader San Diego. Dean was super responsive to questions and one tiny issue and I'd love to stay here again. Thanks for a great visit!

An Excellent Stay

Everything was great. The house is so cute, in a nice neighborhood for walking and a close drive to everything, too. Beds are super comfortable, kitchen with everything you need, easy communications with owner, fun ambiance. I would definitely stay here again if back in San Diego. I loved Santos Coffee within a 10 min walk and my daughter loved Saigon Coffee a short drive or maybe a 20 min walk away. I highly recommend!

San Diego Adventure

The property is charming, clean, and spacious. All the amenities were as mentioned, and the appointments were convenient and pleasing. Well located and near many points of interest. Our Host, Dean, was very helpful in accommodating our minimal needs. Since he lives close by, he was able to quickly address a minor issue about the bedroom lights. Altogether, a wonderful experience! We're hoping to visit this property again!

Perfect little getaway

This place is amazing! Everywhere you look there is an interesting piece of art. Great location and host was very quick to respond to questions and requests prior to arrival. The dancing flamingos on the roof gave it a special San Diego vibe! I’ll be back!

Eclectic Oasis

Dean’s home is utterly charming! From his eclectic and funky art pieces, serene backyard, and kind communication, we couldn’t recommend staying here enough. It will teleport you to a 1950-1960 vibe. Fantastic mid-century modern furniture, and a Zen feeling - especially in the back yard. There’s tons of space and it’s walkable to all the best places in North Park. Will definitely be back!

Exceptional place to hang out in San Diego.

The most stylish of properties in a fabulous location. This impressive home has everything you will need: the host was very welcoming allowing us early check in and lots of local tips. A memorable place to end our Californian adventure. Thank you, the bar has been set for our next rental it didn’t disappoint !!

Ideal Base for Exploring San Diego

We really liked this property. When we opened the front door and turned on the lights, we were delighted that everything was just as pictured. The bungalow had just about everything for a comfortable five-night stay. I appreciated having filtered cold water in the kitchen, so I didn't have to buy bottled water. The washer/dryer came in handy, allowing us to do a load of laundry before heading to our next stop in SoCal. (The bathroom is on the smaller side, but it didn't pose any problem for us. If I remember correctly, there are no grab bars in or around the tub, which might be helpful information for those who would need support to get in and out of a tub.) If we weren't so busy sightseeing, we probably would have spent a lot more time in the lovely, tranquil backyard. The property is situated in a nice neighborhood, within walking distance to a number of good restaurants on Upas Street, and close to Balboa Park. It is also easy to get on the freeway, so it never took us long to go anywhere (Little Italy, La Jolla Cove, Coronado Island, etc.). Dean's communication was timely and clear. I'd definitely like to return to this property the next time we visit San Diego.

Rarely does one get the opportunity to enjoy a meticulously remodeled property, designed with the traveler in mind. A perfect blend of 1920's architecture with a Mid Century Modern flair. In America's Finest City's most popular Hipster neighborhoods - North Park and South Park.

My other property is VRBO1551179, a North Park fountain courtyard studio with lots and lots of 5 star ratings - about 6 blocks from The Purple Panache.

Close enough to walk to everything, but just far enough away to avoid the noise and parking issues.

And the house and garden are beyond awesome.
