Casa Océano Duquesa is a deluxe penthouse, in the heart of Duquesa, in the western Costa del Sol. Located in a private gated urbanisation, with 2 pools a community reading/chill out room, communal pool showers, WC's, WIFI and landscaped tropical gardens, around 40% of the homes are occupied all year round.
A Touch of Luxury
Our renovated vacation home is for the decerning traveller that likes a bit of luxury when on vacation. The spa like bathrooms with softened water, offer rain forest showers, hygiene sprays, heated towel rails and vegan friendly toiletries, hairdryer and even hair straighteners!
Whilst the fully equipped eat in kitchen includes filtered water, coffee and smoothie makers, to ice lolly moulds and paella pans and dishes to try your hand at Spanish cooking.
The roomy living/dining area with log burner for the winter months, has seating and dining for 6, and has a sofa bed and exceptionally comfortable footstool bed which can be moved to one of the bedrooms if desired.
The sunny terrace which has sun the majority of the day, has 2 sun loungers and casual seating and dining areas with additional seating at the front of the property where you can sit and soak up the atmosphere of the surroundings.
Youâll also find separate washer and dryer and for an additional charge, a cot and other baby/toddler essentials are available on request, along with the beach bundle to save you money at the beach.
With a small selection of bars and places eat just a 60 second walk, Casa Océano Duquesa is well located so there is no need for a car and just a10 minute stroll brings you to Duquesa Marina, the beach and the traditional Spanish town of San Luis de Sabinillas where there is cuisine from around the world for every palette.
Also just a 20 minute drive from the lively Estepona, the elegance of Sotogrande and the convenience of Gibraltar with its own international airport just a 35 minute drive, Casa Océano Duquesa is a great place to launch your exploration of the area from Marbella to Tarifa and even Tangiers in northern Morocco which can be reached in less than 2 hours.
At Casa Océano Duquesa you'll wake up to panoramic vistas of the Mediterranean and mountains. Bask on sunny terrace as you unwind on a sun lounger with a good book or a glass of something! Do a morning stretch, or eat dinner as you watch the passing boats in the distance.
What we Love
We love the convenance of not having to drive, the friendly neighbourhood, well maintained grounds and communal areas, the integrated water softener and not having to buy water as there is also an integrated water filter. And of course... the views are just wonderful.
You can watch people on jet skis and see the boats as they cruise along the coastline in the distance. And if you like golf, the apartment overlooks the Duquesa golf course. We also love being able to pop across the street, buy lunch and bring it back to eat on the terrace!

My husband and I manage Casa Océano Duquesa with the help of a local team on the ground, who take care of the cleaning and laundry.
Like you, we like to vacation in home from home environments, unpack, relax, unwind, explore the local area and come back to a place that feels like home.
My husband and I both work and whenever time permits we spend in it Duquesa.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
We wanted to be in an area without hoards of tourists and big hotel chains so we choose the municipality of Manilva. It doesn't shut down in the winter because it is a mainly residential area where people live all year round.
It's a relatively quiet district compared to it's glitzy neighbours Marbella and the over populated Estepona. It is centrally located, so areas such as Marbella, Estepona and Gibraltar are easily accessible in 30 minutes and less.
The municipality of Manilva offers the best of all worlds. It has 3 traditionally Spanish areas, the Manilva pueblo [village] in the hills about a 5 minutes drive. The area of El Castillio with it's castle and the working town of San Luis de Sabinillas.
The beaches are not over crowded and there are many areas even in July and August where you can just pitch up with a deck chair and it will be just you and a fisherman!
The Marina is so pretty it melts my heart every time I go there. The shimmering sea, the boats and beautiful white buildings make it one of the prettiest marinas in the Costa del Sol.
lastly, we are located in one of the most famous regions of Spain. the beautiful Andalusia.
From the provinces of Granada where we can go skiing in the morning and sun bath in the afternoon, to the historic cities of Seville. Cadiz, Malaga and Ronda where history is around almost every corner, to the the surfers paradise of Tarifa.
All of which can be reached ion between 60 minutes to 2.5 hours. Its place where the vacation is new every time we visit.

It is a fully equipped space with eve thing from a garlic press to hair straightness! .
As I don't drive, so it was important to be within walking distance to amenities, so no car is needed. The Courtyard across the street, has all the essentials one needs if you just want to chill for an extra long weekend, soak up the sun and relax by the 2 pools.
Or just a 10 minute walk and you're at the nearest supermarket, the marina, the pasaeo for a morning walk and the beach.
Lastly, it's the penthouse! No one with big feet walking around above you!!
And of course, far reaching, sea, golf and mountain views. Sun all day, either on the rear terrace or at the front which we've made into an additional seating area.
Oh... and we have soft water int he showers, and a a 5 stage drinking water filtration process fir drinking water. So no lugging water bottles around and reducing your intake of micro plastics!
