Beautiful high spec accommodation, the outdoor space and hot tub were wonderful and well maintained. The farm had great options like walks, animals, honesty shop - but it felt peaceful and quiet. Good space between properties, so it always felt private.

A great stay at the pod!

I had the pod for 4 nights at the start of May, weather was fantastic, which was nice and the pod itself was very well equipped for my short break. Good facilities also, with BBQ, washing machine, deckchairs, parasols for shade, etc basically everything I needed was thought of. The hosts are fantastic and Damien was very quick to answer any questions. Will be back again!

Perfect retreat

Exceeded expectation, great location as a retreat but also only easy to use as a base when wanting to visit Edinburgh and other surrounding attractions. Beautiful farm.

Amazing Stay

From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. The goodie bag on arrival was such a thoughtful touch, packed full of treats that we really appreciated.The hot tub was a definite highlight—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Damian was fantastic, so friendly and informative, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Feeding the animals was such a fun and unique experience, adding a special touch to the visit.Overall, it was a brilliant experience, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Perfect Pod Getaway

This was our 2nd stay with Airhouses at the Hawthorn Pod, & it was absolutely fabulous! The Pods are well maintained, spotless & have everything you could need for a relaxing stay! From the BBQ to sun loungers & of course the hot tub, it really was perfect . We will no doubt be back again!

Weekend Stay in February

Our stay at the Hawthorn Pod was great. The accommodation was brilliant, had everything we needed for our stay and the little welcome bag was a nice touch. The place was spotless, warm, had good WiFi connection, and Damian was on hand if we needed anything. The location was peaceful which is what we were after and the hot tub was fantastic. We will be back and would highly recommend.

Very clean and professional would recommend.

What truly stood out was the lodge's attention to detail. The decor was tasteful and unique. Additionally, the amenities provided were excellent, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable stay. My experience at the hawthorn pod was simply outstanding. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay

Excellent

We had another wonderful stay at Airhouses and this time we stayed in the Hawthorn pod. Really comfortable, fabulous surroundings and very peaceful. Also had a spa treatment which was so relaxing and there was a hot tub !!.....happy days. Very reluctant to leave and hope to be back in the future. Thank you to all the team

Awesome mini break

We stayed in the Hawthorn Pod over New Year. Yes, it is compact, it is a Pod. What makes it so special is that it is beautifully appointed and feels luxurious. The clever heating system ensured that even though there was snow outside we were at a constant 22 degrees inside. We were so cosy that we had to turn the heating down. We would highly recommend

loved it/cosy

everything perfect, will be going back. Had the most friendliest cat ever and all the animals where there own lil personalities, only teeny complaint would be having oil for frying as we boiled a breakfast pack, made for a funny memory though. I think if I just asked the staff they'd of gave me some for the pod so isn't really a complaint as all. LOVED IT

Fabulous place

What a wonderful week, had everything we needed and touchscreen for music ,lights, blinds and heating. The dogs had a great time checking out the farm animals and running about in the meadow, they say thanks for their welcome bags. The honesty shop was excellent for gluten free options and loved the pop up coffee shop. The hosts were great and very informative about the farm, spending time to chat. The hot tub was heaven and watching the stars was my favourite part. Lovely personal touch with welcome bag full of goodies. Will definitely be back.

Short break at hawthorn pod

This pod really is fantastic, absolutely spotless and has everything you need and more. We spent 3 nights here and honestly didn’t want to leave , from the pod itself to the location , walking round the farm in the evening feeding the animals then back to the hot tub to relax , then spend the rest of the evening chilling in the pod with the mood lighting set and the music playing( quietly ) we loved it and all I can say is the hosts were great from start to finish , made you really welcome and ensured we had a lovely break and wanted for nothing. We will 100% be back .

Our second stay, and just as lovely as the first time!

The pod is perfect for a couple (in our case, with a small dog, too) to explore the Borders. Barbecue, firepit, and they've upgraded the wifi since our last stay, so streaming the football on iPlayer on the smart TV in the pod was stutter free. The farm is great - despite being a fully fledged adult, my partner couldn't wait to break out the carrot batons for the goats, sheep, ponies, donkeys, and alpacas each morning. It'd be brilliant if you have kids! Hot tubs at each pod and cabin are great - really well looked after. And the folks onsite are really the best - couldn't do enough to make sure that you were comfortable and settled in. The recent addition of the popup cafe on Saturday mornings was a lovely treat, too! We're now trying to coordinate some dates for another trip next year with them and their kids, and we'll stay in one of the cabins there. Would highly recommend. Even the weather was great - we had a little rain, but nothing that spoiled the trip.

Amazing modern pod with everything you need in a beautiful location

Me and my partner had an amazing stay in the Hawthorn Pod. My partner loved that their was a tablet on the wall which could control everything from light colour to heating ha! Everything was immaculate and the pod included everything we needed. Their was even a shed with a washing machine and dryer to use if needed and had an assortment of board games in too. The hot tub was lovely but unfortunately we didn't use it much with me being pregnant and it was too cold for me to sit out for long at the side. The farm is great to walk around and the animals are so friendly. Their is an honesty shop which is great too, we bought a meal for our tea one night and I stupidly forgot to pack our toothbrushes so luckily they were also in the shop! We briefly met Damien who was lovely and really cares for his visitors. We would definitely like to stay again in the future and we will be recommending it to everyone. Thank you everyone at Airhouses for an amazing stay :)

Had the best time in Hawthorn Pod

We had a wonderful time in the hawthorn pod at Airhouse’s. The pod was amazingly clean, bed was very comfy and just everything is to a high standard. We also got some of the enhance your stay things. The deli box, vegetable box, meat box for bbq and craft beers. All were great and so worth the money and we’re all ready for us in the fridge when we arrived. The surroundings grounds are great. With lovely walks through the fields around or to the nearest pub which was just under 2 miles away. But the best thing about Airhouse is the people that run it. Everyone we met was so nice and so helpful with giving us tips of things to do. A special mention to Damian who helped us out so much during our stay and made it so special. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing time in the country side (oh yeah with a brilliant hot tub by the way and ponies, donkeys, cows, llamas, goats, pigs all to meet) then we would highly recommend a stay at Airhouse

Excellent break!

We had a fabulous time in the Hawthorn Pod! Was absolutely spotless and had everything you would need and more! Very hi-tech and really a joy to stay in. It ticked all the boxes. Very peaceful and relaxing. Staff were super friendly and nothing was a bother. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Fantastic trip

Fantastic location, out of the way with great views and close to some lovely walks with the dog, but close to Lauder for anything you might need. The pod was very comfortable and clean, and very welcoming, with welcome packages for us and the dog on arrival. The welcome guide was an excellent starting point for walks and local places to buy food or eat. The little farm shop was well stocked and super handy! We had a great time wandering the area and meeting all the animals. It was also great to have access to an EV charger as part of the pod, making it easy to explore the areas a bit further out without worrying about charge points. We had a great time during our stay.

Fantastic!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hawthorn Pod. Communication before arrival was excellent, with all the information you could possibly need before, during and after your stay provided in a convenient app. The pod itself was super clean, cosy and comfortable, and everything had been thought of. Not only did the humans receive a delicious welcome pack, but our dog did too! Walks around the farm gave us the opportunity to meet the pet alpacas, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs and ponies, which was lovely. All in all, a fantastic stay, with the only downside being we were there for just two nights! Would love to stay again.
