Stable Cottage was originally a farm dairy that was converted into a holiday cottage in 2003. It is a wheelchair friendly ground floor centrally heated accommodation. There are three bedrooms which comfortably sleep 6; with two bathrooms, and a log burner in the sitting room. A travel cot is available and is stored in the east bedroom closet. The large kitchen is well equipped and leads into the open plan dining and lounge. Parking for two cars is just a few steps from the front door, and there is a small patio area with garden chairs. A dog run is also available about 50 yards from the cottage. A great place to say hi to our two pet sheep and see our cows. The cottage will appeal to a wide variety of people. It is ideal for those wanting a quiet break, but equally it will appeal to those wanting an active holiday. Cycling, walking along the Southdowns -- just minutes away by car; water sports, golf and tennis can all be found near this property. The historic cathedral city of Chichester is just a few miles to the west. Goodwood with its renowned race course and motor sports events is also nearby. The Flying Fortress near Yapton is great for younger children, especially for rainy days! Dogs are welcome at 25 pounds each and are not allowed on the furniture or in bedrooms & must be kept on leads outside Stable Cottage. The enclosed paddock area is safe for pets and children.
It was a lovely cozy cottage with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable and it was nice and clean. Plenty to see in the area like Arundel Castle, Bignor Roman Villa, Petworth House and the open air museum. Good places to eat were the Black Horse with a conservatory which looked over the hills and the Holly Tree. Thank you so much for the welcoming pack. Felt very spoilt
Stable Cottage is large and well presented, although the layout is a little unusual. With a young toddler we appreciated the single level, and the books and toys. The location is convenient for both the coast and the Downs. The main downside is the proximity of the traffic on the road and some commercial activity on the farm, but it was quiet at night.
Jo and Daniel have been hosting holiday makers for almost 20 years at Stable Cottage and The Barn at Brookfield Farm and live on site to help with any queries you may have.

Stable cottage is a very comfortable cottage and has the benefit of a log burner. There is also central heating of course. The cottage has vaulted ceilings and oak beams. It is all on one level. The small outside patio is a sunny spot to watch the world go by and is enclosed which is ideal for dogs and children.
