We recently stayed at this property in Luray, Virginia and had a mostly enjoyable experience. The location is truly beautiful, with peaceful surroundings, gorgeous views, and excellent access to the river. Itâs a great spot for relaxing and enjoying nature. The home itself was very clean, which we appreciated. However, it was not as well-maintained as we expected. The hot tub was far too hot, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. We also encountered a number of wasps on the deck, which made spending time outside a bit uncomfortable. With some attention to maintenance, this property has a lot of potential. The setting is wonderful, and with a few fixes, it could offer an even better guest experience.
The cabin was nice and the location was good. Not a lot of pots and pans to do cooking. The hut tub was nice as well but the top did not fit properly and was very heavy to open and close. Overall it was a good experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was clean and well kept with great views, a hot tub, fire pit, and much more. We even caught a few fish!
We enjoyed our stay! The ProsâŠâŠeasy river access, nice views out of the big windowsâŠeasy commute to the town ofLurayâŠpet friendlyâŠac was nice and coolâŠThe ConsâŠâŠthe beds werenât terrible but also werenât comfy (very firm and squeaky), only the bare necessities so bring your tin foil and anything basic that most rentals usually provide, noCharcoal or lighter fluid provided for the grill (we had to go back out and buy some)âŠthe coffeepot took 45 minutes or more to perk a pot of coffeeâŠno extra blankets or throws to keep comfyâŠthe couches seemed worn and the towels and pillow casesâŠI found a candy wrapper when I pulled the bedspread back(were they not stripped and cleaned?!) so I slept on top of the bedspread with the blanket I keep in my carâŠWe almost ran out of toilet paper (we used it sparingly) and there were only enough bath towels per personâŠno extra towels to wrap your hair up.The hot tub was 108 degrees and unbearable. The property description says a canoe and life jackets are provided. We didnât see them anywhere. The bedrooms could use ceiling fans, it got a little stuffy but it was also very hot outside during our stay. The deck was great but no cushions on the metal chairs. Not very comfy but very beautiful views. The cabin is For Sale.
Property was nice, and clean. Was perfect for our stay, as we kayak fished and were able to put in and pull out from 2 seperate float trips at the house.
Stayed the weekend with 3 other adult family members just to visit each other for a quiet weekend. This was perfect. It was quiet and relaxing in the beautiful mountains of VA. We found things to do like walk thru Luray and shop, went for a wine tasting, and has a fantastic breakfast buffet at Circa '31. Home had everything we needed and the hot tub was a nice bonus.
The only things Iâd be critical of are-comfort of living room furniture and ease of access to hot tub. But that is a bit of nitpicking. Overall it was nice and the location was good for us.
Wonderful location and wonderful home! The family enjoyed hiking, fishing, hot tub, fire pit and much more. Close to Luray Caverns. Close to grocery stores/restaurants but secluded enough for quiet family time. Thank you!
We had a great stay! The location was so quiet and peaceful, a great spot for a relaxing weekend away. The property was well-cared for, and we really enjoyed spending time on the deck and in the hot tub. It could have been slightly better stocked with toiletries, but overall a wonderful stay. Hope to visit again!
This property is private yet close to town.No one is directly behind, to the left or front of cabin. River is on the right with direct walk out access.
Our cabin is our special spot at the river. Just a walk through the yard takes you directly to the Shenandoah river where you can swim, fish, tube, canoe, kayak, while enjoying wildlife and the views. We now have a Hot Tub outside! Take in the peaceful relaxation and mountain views all while still being close to our quaint town.
