Récemment rénové 2 chambres 1 cabine de bain avec une vue magnifique sur la montagne. Profitez de la vue et des paysages paisibles depuis le porche ou de la balançoire dans la cour avant. Proche des cavernes de Luray, du musée des Ducs de Hazard de Cooter, du parc national de Shenandoah, des sentiers de randonnée dans la forêt nationale de George Washington. Dans les 20 minutes de I81. Terrain fluvial privé à moins de 5 km pour la pêche, la navigation de plaisance ou tout simplement pour la détente.

Winter trip

The cabin is fantastic. It had WiFi and all the pots and pans we needed. It’s close to many trails. My son loved the Ms. Pac-Man machine, pool table, and board games. I also appreciated the quick and clear communication with the property manager.

A place to unwind.

My husband and I along with our 2 corgis came out for a few days to mainly see Luray Caverns and recharge. That is exactly what we did. This cabin had everything you need for an amazing stay. The view from the deck is breath taking for watching sun and the moon come up. Just 2 miles up the road is an overlook that you can see the whole valley below for miles all around. We loved it so much we hated to leave. We will be back. The area is so lovely as well and everyone we met was wonderful.

Great Getaway

This is a wonderful property. Communication with the host was great. The home is thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and more. The pool table and Ms. Pacman were a lot of fun.

Wonderful solitude

This cabin was perfect for us--close enough to Luray & the park but with wonderful solitude. The hot tub was fantastic! Jan was quick to respond when the BBQ didn't work & got it up & running in no time.

Anniversary Mountain Getaway

Beautiful area, great host, and perfect house! We were very comfortable at Southern Comfort Cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and appliances, towels in the bathroom and a fantastic game room downstairs - it was exactly what we hoped for. Looking forward to renting again one day!

House in Mountains

This is a great property. Quiet and secluded where you can sit back and relax and forget about your troubles. Close to stores and anything else you need, but off the main road which is great. House was clean and well done, we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and sitting outside during the evening hours on the swing. It was a great time and no one wanted to leave. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions we have prior to and during the trip. Highly recommend this location for a family getaway

Mountain Getaway

We planned a quick 3 night get away to the mountains. My husband, two boys and I. This home was perfect, it was secluded just enough but still only 10 mins from town. House was very clean, comfortable, had everything you need in the kitchen. Kids loved the basement filled with the tv, games, arcade game and pool table. House was filled with lots of things to do. The outside fire pit was nice, there was also a picnic table and large swing. There was a children’s swing set as well. Plenty of yard space for the kids to run around. Plenty of seating on both upper/lower deck/patio. The view from the top deck is breathtaking and absolutely loved it, it was exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were very great to communicate with and made sure we got settled in and didn’t need anything. Definitely have to come back again.

Fall Weekend

My husband stayed for two nights. We came to hike in Shenandoah, and the house was a great location to visit trails in the northern and central sections of the park. The house had everything we needed, and the view from the front was incredible. We enjoyed the sunrise.

Family hiking and biking destination

This was an ideal location for mountain hiking and biking with plenty of options for family fun and relaxation afterwards, including a game room as well as a front deck and living room offering spectacular views of the Shenandoah Mountains.

Adorable cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our morning coffee and views from the front porch. The downstairs rec room was so fun. I loved that you decorated the house with fall decor. Perfect place to spend time with family.

Quick get away with the Fam

The place was exactly what we were looking for as a 3 day get away in the Valley. Place was extremely clean when we arrived and was as described. The view of the valley and mountains was great and the sunrise on the first morning was fantastic. Plenty of games and things to do inside as well as outside if you're just hanging around the cabin. Ms Pacman was a hit and my daughter had a blast playing pool for the first time.The old cabin at the end of the driveway is really cool and worth a visit for a walk back in time. We did not make it to the private river lot on this trip. Maybe the next one. Jan was an absolute wonderful host. Communication was great and quick.

Beautiful view!

Gorgeous view of the mountains. Very quiet and just the right distance from town (about 10 minutes). Weather wasn’t very good for our stay but we enjoyed the caverns.

Amazing views in a fabulous vacation home

From the first moment we pulled up the driveway we knew this place would be amazing. Tons of activities left for us to do (board games, Ms. Pac Man, pool table, croquet), beautiful mountain views, and a quick trip to Luray caverns and the national park. Would come back to this same property again in the future. If you are staying during a full moon make sure to watch it rise over the mountains in the distance! 10/10 would stay again.

Wonderful Experience

The house was so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The basement was beautfully done with a pool table, PacMan machine, large TV and board games. Most outstanding was the view. Sitting on the front balcony, we could gaze out on the mountain range which was so beautiful and relaxing, We also really enjoyed visiting the "old cottage" and the river just a short drive away.Turning right out of the driveway and driving about a mile, we found a lovely overlook and a well maintained hiking trail. Downtown Luray was only a 10 minute drive. Overall it was a great house and we had a delightful weekend!

Summer vacation

We had such a good experience at this rental last year that we returned back to the same location for our vacation this summer. The location is perfect - very close to restaurants in town and also to a variety of hiking trails. It was only a 15-20 minute drive to Shenandoah National Park and there were several trails close by in the National Forest. We enjoyed having the private river access for fishing and wading in the river. The cabin was very clean and communication with Jan was always very prompt. We appreciate having a pet friendly rental for our two dogs. It rained several days during our week this year, but we found plenty to do at the cabin with the Ms. Pacman and board games. Once again, we had a wonderful rental experience and would definitely choose this location again if we return back to Luray for any future vacations.

With such a beautiful view, the cabin is located only 10 to 15 minutes from canoeing, hiking, horseback riding, 4-wheeler riding, the Dukes of Hazzard Museum, the Luray Caverns, downtown Luray, restaurants, and shopping.

Southern Comfort offers a private river lot in close proximity to the cabin, and you can enjoy or float to this lot from public river access. In addition to that, an old log cabin built in 1947 is located on the property and ready to explore. Our family room includes many games, such as a Pac-Man machine, cornhole, and a pool table for lots of family fun.
