This home has a wonderful backyard overlooking the Shenandoah River! Very peaceful, perfect for a getaway from the rat race. I must warn you about the stairs though. There are over 20 steps jus to get to the front door. I don’t understand why the home was built exceptionally high…..

Fantastic spring getaway with our family. We chose it for the waterfront view and it did not disappoint. Gorgeous property with amazing river views. Loved the kayaks and canoes and easy water access. House was just right with super comfy beds and was very clean. The property owner gave great instructions and clear communication as well.

This is a charming cabin with incredible views and access to the river. The house is located about 10 minutes outside of town, along a scenic back road that runs along the river. House was clean and cozy, with plenty of room for my family of 4. Beds were large and comfortable. We had a few minor issues that caused a bit of inconvenience (washing machine didn't work and door handle for sliding glass door was broken). But we enjoyed our stay!

Great river get away

The cabin was great! The view of the river was outstanding and so was the fire pit. It was an easy hour to Shenandoah national Park, which is what we were visiting mostly. Also, Luray is lovely.

Perfect nature vacation

Close to the Shenandoah River and prime hiking trails, it is a peaceful break and has crystal clear air and water. Would definitely recommend for anyone needed some rest and relaxation.

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was super clean and well stocked. The beds were really comfortable. The owner was responsive and helpful. The river is absolutely beautiful!! We used the kayaks and canoes each day and enjoyed the large firepit. We also loved the screened back porch which makes you feel like you are in a treehouse. Thanks for a great weekend!

We paid a premium for a 3-night, 4-day riverfront stay; it was a rip-off. The nightmare started at arrival: the house was unlocked. My 5-year-old nephew turned the handle and walked right into an unsecured building. Leaving a rental wide open is a terrifying safety failure by management.Inside, the lack of hygiene was vile. This place hasn’t been cleaned in over a year. The kitchen walls were caked with leftover food. There were scuff marks and greasy fingerprints smeared all over the walls and glass surfaces throughout the house. Worse, the floors were so filthy that our socks turned black just from walking around.The outdoor spaces were neglected. The screened-in porch was a stomach-turning disaster zone, with clumps of hair and rotting food piled up in the corners. Every door leading in and out of the house was covered in layers of dirt and grime to the touch.Basic maintenance is nonexistent. The exhaust fan in one bathroom doesn’t work at all, causing zero ventilation. Furthermore, the blinds throughout the entire house are so incredibly cheap and see-through that they provide zero privacy, making them completely pointless.For the massive amount of money we spent, this level of filth and neglect is utterly unacceptable. We are furious. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. This place is gross, poorly managed, and not worth a single penny. Management should be ashamed to rent this out.

Beautiful river cabin

Loved this beautiful home on a peaceful stretch of river - we swam, we kayaked, we fished, we watched birds and wildlife, we enjoyed a wonderful bonfire. Highly recommend- we hope to come back!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

My friends and I had a fantastic weekend at this charming waterfront property. The screened-in porch was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful view, which quickly became one of our favorite parts of the stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the tools we needed to cook and enjoy meals together. Cesar was incredibly responsive and kind—he promptly answered any questions we had and even had an extra bag of charcoal delivered, which was a thoughtful touch. We truly appreciated the hospitality and would love to return!

Long weekend to unwind

We had an amazing stay here. My husband, our three kids (7,6,3) and my parents were able to come for a long weekend. We enjoyed spending time on the water, sitting by the campfire and even got some hiking in! Would totally come again. The house had everything we needed!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My wife and I both love the water and had been looking for a waterfront vacation home for two years - mostly in the wrong places! This spring, our neighbor bought a house down river on the Shenandoah, which turned us on to the Shenandoah Valley. The minute we set foot in the back (front?) yard of our cabin we knew it was the one.

There is something about the little brook that runs through the property, the fire pit, geese dancing in the river and the friendly kayakers waving as they float on by that really caught our attention.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Not only is the actual lot beautiful, the location is really unbeatable. It feels remote and you're surrounded by nature, but it's close enough to amenities that a 15 minute ride can have you sipping wine at the Valley Cork in Luray, a 30 minute drive puts you at Muse Vineyards in Woodstock. In 40 minutes you're in Harrisonburg - a vibrant college town of 50k people, or in Washington, VA - home of the famous Inn.

The lot itself is flat and reasonably private. It's wide enough that while you can see the neighbors to your left while sitting in the yard, they are far enough away as to not be intrusive. On the right the property is separated from the other neighbors by shrubbery and hedges, so you won't even notice they're there.
