Shiraz Tiny House by Tiny Away is a cozy getaway at Avoca Caravan Park and alongside a golf course, just a 52-minute drive from the city of Ballarat. Our farm stay provides a peaceful retreat just moments away from the city's top attractions.

Discover the beauty of the lush Ballarat Botanical Gardens, delve into history at the Eureka Centre, and stroll through the picturesque Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy the nearby Seppelt Cellar Door, while nature lovers will appreciate the serene Lake Wendouree. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and adventure!

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home and family-friendly accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Nebbiolo Tiny House," available with 24 hours' notice in advance.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home, all caravan park areas, and the surrounding areas.

For guest's privacy, the tiny home is 100 meters away from the main house and approx 10 meters away from the second tiny house (Nebbiolo Tiny House, darker tiny house).

- Lake Wendouree is a hub for recreation, with a 6-kilometer walking track, picnic areas, BBQ facilities, and a range of water activities.
- Seppelt Cellar Door: Taste the best of Victoria’s diverse terroirs, from the Grampians to Heathcote, all at Seppelt's welcoming cellar door.
- Ballarat Botanical Gardens is one of Australia's premier cool-climate gardens, featuring mature trees, marble statues, and vibrant flower beds.

Getting Around:
By car:

- A 2-hour drive from Melbourne, Avoca can be conveniently reached by car
- Both 2WD and 4WD vehicles can easily access the property.

By public transport:

- Take the train to Maryborough Train Station and then a cab directly to Avoca.

Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is available
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking inside the tiny home, except in certain areas on the property
- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny home is set in a rural locality
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- Mobile reception has good signals for Telstra; Optus has weak signals; The rest have no signal
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note:

- Keep in mind that outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Tiny homes will be located on caravan park grounds with park rules applicable
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
