Cottage Comfort is nestled far enough from town and yet a leisurely one kilometre stroll to be able to leave your car at home and walk into the vibrant bustle of the main street of Kangaroo Valley village.
Cottage Comfort speaks to individuals and families of all ages. The accommodation is three simple and easy to access bedrooms, living and bathroom area. There is also a second bathroom and laundry separate to the house. The home is set on one level making it comfortable for small children or grandparents to get around.
Immediately, the feeling of getting back to nature is noticeable when the natural morning light streams through the cottage windows connecting inside to out. Warmth and cosiness oozes from the log fire during the winter months - firewood provided May to September - with vistas and views that will make your heart sing. The Cottage has enclosed areas for small children or pets, a chicken coup, a herb garden and for the older children, board games, a large flat outdoor space to play cricket, footy, explore the creek, take a bike ride to town, gather around the fire pit, or just chill. There are enough nooks and crannies for all the family to enjoy and stress-free for parents keeping an eye on the children when playing in the pool or on the trampoline.
Explore the picturesque township of Kangaroo Valley and the hidden gems it has to offer. Walk across Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge, Hampden Bridge, tour the Pioneer Village Museum, book an historic walking tour, meet the locals at the Friendly Inn Hotel, enjoy the bakery, sweets and an abundance of food delights. Indulge in wine tasting at Yarrawa Estate, admire the magnificent Fitzroy Falls, check out the local farmers market or find the secret swimming spot at Belmore Falls. For those more adventurous, kayak or canoe down the Kangaroo River, bushwalk to stunning waterfalls, visit Tallowa Dam, discover the mountain bike trails or take in 18 holes at Kangaroo Valley Golf and Country Retreat. The village of Berry, Nowra and surf beaches are a short drive distance away.
