Paddock Cottage sur la ferme de l'ail 2-4 personnes

Paddock Cottage est situé sur la ferme de l'ail sur l'île de Wight, au pied de Mersley Down, dans la vallée d'Arreton, une région d'une beauté naturelle exceptionnelle. Le chalet est idéal pour les couples ou les petites familles sur un budget. Il y a un salon avec canapé-lit et une cuisine entièrement équipée. Une grande chambre double avec portes fenêtres s'ouvre sur un jardin clos donnant sur le champ de Paddock. Notre restaurant sur place se trouve à la porte et est ouvert tous les jours pour le petit-déjeuner et le déjeuner. Vous bénéficierez de réductions dans le magasin et le restaurant de la ferme, ainsi que dans la salle de jeux, le court de tennis, le terrain de football et toutes les belles promenades dans la campagne environnante. Les paons, les écureuils roux et les poules errent librement autour de la ferme avec le bétail et les chevaux de montagne dans les champs environnants.

La ferme est idéalement située pour explorer l'île à pied ou à vélo, au cœur de kilomètres de pistes cyclables et de sentiers pour lesquels l'île est réputée. Il y a un lac de pêche privé à 800 mètres et des plages pas plus de 10 minutes en voiture.

A perfect couple of days at The Garlic Farm...

Thank you Garlic Farm.. my daughter, her partner and I had a wonderful day at Paddock Cottage, along with our border terrier. The accommodation was perfect and the sofa bed I slept on was very comfortable. We loved your thoughtful touches such as the fresh flowers, chutney, and other garlic products you kindly left for us. The only problem was that 2 nights was just not long enough... we will definitely come back and look forward to spending more time relaxing, playing tennis, sauna-ing and enjoying the surrounding countryside. Will be spreading the word to our friends. X

A lovely week on the Isle of Wight

We decided to return to the Isle of Wight after many years (and without kids and grandkids) to refresh and rewind before back the busy life of being a grandparent. I fell on the Garlic Farm by accident whilst seeking information about growing garlic. Well it was an happy accident as everything about our trip was excellent. This included Melanie sorting out my terrible typos on the ferry ticket as well as me losing the confirmation email! An abundance of information about the Farm and the Isle of Wight with lots of recommendations - we didnt have enough time to even scratch the surface. Nice walks and some fun rediscovering the island and its very hospitable people. The restaurant at the Farm is excellent and the shop is more than you could even hope for - even the chocolate and black garlic ice cream - trust me it is a thing and you should try it! The accommodation is very well appointed and just a little quirky. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely farm stay

We really enjoyed our stay on the Garlic Farm. Comfy beds, blackout blinds were a plus! Excellent complimentary products to try, daughter appreciated the games in the cupboard. Nice and clean and well equipped, warmed up well during cold nights.

Two night stay with our dog

We stopped for two nights mid-week with our dog after needing somewhere to stay at quite late notice. The hosts were able to accommodate this and there was plenty of information sent to us beforehand to know what to expect. The cottage was a lovely place to stay and we enjoyed going for walks with our dog around the farm. The little garden was also excellent for our dog. The hosts were lovely and available if needed.

Peaceful Paddock Cottage

We LOVED our few days at The Garlic Farm, it was us and our 4 year old. Having safe, peaceful and adventurous space to walk out and explore, and some activities, restaurant/cafe and shop, where we were staying was a real gift in addition to exploring the island. The Paddock Cottage was bigger than the photos give away, warm, comfortable and quiet with everything we could have needed there for us. The owners of the farm were helpful and friendly at all times, they also offer to book your ferry at a discount which we did not realise and should have waited for their follow up email! A beautiful choice of place to stay!

Perfect short break

This is a first rate location for a weekend or short break. The accommodation was better than expected and with limited or no intrusion from the adjacent lets and the Garlic Farm shop and restaurant. The convenience of having a discounted (for residents of the lets) store on hand made it ideal for a short break. Also useful was the restaurant which, for our party, was the ideal way to start a weekend break. The area in itself is easy to find, very peaceful and off of a typical island highway. We were lucky with the weather which really helps. All sorts of amenities and places of interest are within a 15 minute radius; what's not to love about this place.

Lovely cottage and location

Had a lovely few days in very challenging weather in September! Cosy cottage, had everything we needed but a second hand towel would have helped hair drying! Kitchen well equipped and was easily able to make a meal for friends we had come over to visit. Communication prior to our trip was excellent with the useful e-booklet. Good walking around the farm and so man birds. The highlight was watching red squirrels playing. Many thanks.

Wonderful week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is centrally located, so it is easy and fairly quick to get to any attractions. An easy trip to the ferries in Ryde or East Cowes. Colin, Jenny and their family are very welcoming and eager to share their love of the farm and the island. The shop products are varied and delicious; the restaurant is cozy with good food. The Garlic Farm is organic, farming for the future. We loved it!

Comfy and quiet location

We stayed for a long weekend - the first time in Paddock Cottage but not our first stay at the Farm. The location is beautifully quiet, the breakfast food and service is superb, and the accommodation is comfy and characterful. Perfect!

We had a lovely break at the Garlic Farm; we were welcomed on arrival and the cottage was well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The location was excellent for walking with our dog and being able to stop at cafes and pubs on the way, and the breakfast at the farm is an easy way to start the day and the coffee is good too! We really couldn't have asked for anything more and would have no hesitation in staying again.

Lovely little Cottage in the middle of the farm

Stayed in Paddock Cottage, it had everything we needed for a week on the island. Cottage was small but v clean & tidy had little courtyard for our dog which led onto a larger field which was handy in the mornings. The Farm isn’t near anything so getting in the car is a must, a few walks across fields but all included a road walk if you were walking to a pub/restaurant.

Lovely location..great people ..Very relaxing.

Restaurant fabulous..shop amazing, as a lover of garlic! Perhaps a little TLC for the cottage..a rack over the shower door would be helpful for shampoo etc and a DVD player would be nice But masses of hot water and heating when needed very effective. .

PADDOCK COTTS

On the good side we found most things as described by the Garlic Farm Welcome Pack so we were happy. On the down side. We do think the Welcome Pack does need to be updated as it says that a 10% discount is given to guests in the Garlic Farm shop as well as the restaurant, we used the shop and they gave us the discount but when we had lunch in the restaurant we were told that it did not give the discount you only get that in the shop, this was a bit embarrassing for us. .In the Paddock Cotts we fount that the shower was very slippery when wet and it could possibly be improved by the introduction of a nonslip mat. Overall we found it very good value and we enjoyed ourselves

Two night stay review

Perfect location and fantastic to see the peacocks again! Great to have the restaurant and cafe so close. Lovely setting, beautiful flowers and nice to have the paddock for a spot of soft ball and bat cricket. Lovely staff. Disappointingly however the cleanliness was a problem (rectified quickly but the cleaning team need to up their game). Our child’s sofa bed was also not made up so we had to get that done at half past ten pm after coming back from a party. Just not ideal.

Another relaxing stay at Paddock Cottage

Perfect cottage for us and our Dog. Nice that the garden furniture had been updated. Wi-Fi could be improved as only works in the kitchen area. Hope to return next year.

Perfect Cottage, perfect location, perfect weather (this time!)

This was our second stay in Paddock Cottage since moving back to the mainland 18 months ago. Great to be able to stay at one of our favourite locations on the Island. Having had winter storms and floods nearby on our previous visit, the weather was unseasonably perfect. A treat to sit in the little garden, with a glass of the shop's excellent wine, watching rabbits running around, Buzzards circling overhead, birdsong (and Peacocks), the Peacock proudly displaying his magnificent tail. Very well equipped and comfortable accommodation, prompt responses to any problem. Everything eco-friendly. An ideal setting for us: quiet and peaceful but not isolated, overlooking the restaurant but in a private, raised area. Wonderful dog-walk round the farm. A very special place.
