We have stayed here before and we love it. Itâs a beautiful property. It has everything that we need. We will definitely keep this one on our list. We come every summer and live our time here.
Everything was great with the exception of some folks staying around the 3rd floor i believe, that showed up over the weekend and got a little overboard with their music on the balcony while children were playing below. We're by no means prudes and would have been fine if not with our 4 and 5 year olds, but the F bombs and vulgar lyrics were not appropriate for the time and place. Other than that our stay was great.
Great experience with Alabama Getaway management and their communication engagement points and methods (texts, etc.) Property is very dated and the furniture is badly in need of replacement - particularly the sofa...very worn. Mattresses could use replacement, as well. All other condo amenities were as expected for a vacation rental.
Very well cared for building and grounds. We totally enjoyed the beach, pool, and the beautiful view. The kitchen was well equipped. I did wish that the unit had suppied lounge chair for the balcony. I asked at the desk and was told it wouldn't happen. I was caring for my grandchild and would have liked to sit on the balcony with her. Otherwise, our visit was great.
The condo was in a great location and we loved the easy beach access as well as the Lazy River. The condo furniture is in need of a good update. The couch bed and twin bed were not comfortable at all & should definitely be replaced since guests expect to use them to sleep. Some of the dishes in the cabinet were dirty & we had to clean them before using. Lastly, we did not expect to pay 58 per vehicle to park (our invoice showed we paid 100 for 2 car parking passes). We were told the parking was handled by the property not VRBO once we arrived. We had a great time & enjoyed our beach time while there.
The location and property were perfect for us! It was a "girl's trip with daughter, and granddaughters. The view was breathtaking and the accommodations perfect for our short trip! We will definitely book this property again!
The views are stunning⊠The location is prime. You can walk to restaurants and the beaches are right beneath your feet. Lazy river super fun-Aesthetically the place looks good at first glance.. I didnât realize it was on the 24th floor. Which really wasnât a problem it just creates a full elevator sometimes but most of the time we were able to just come up and down quickly. The hard critique is that itâs just not comfortable. The sectional is not comfortable. It feels cheap and it sinks, can feel the wood through places Itâs old. The beds are pretty comfortable not amazing but pretty good. Pillows flat.Could use some additional things like spatulas and griddles and things that families would want to use to cook- we did request cookie sheets and mixing bowls which the staff brought over the night before we left. We also requested blankets just to cover up with on the couch because little kids get cold and they brought those the night before we left as well. The main BR is very dated. The furniture is old. The TV is small. The dresser is not aesthetically pleasing -highly recommend new furniture. The two guest rooms are decorated beautifully the windows go to the hallway.Thereâs carpet in the bedrooms, which is very old and stained the thresholds are loose and painful to step on. We put a towel over ours after the first owie. Our family had a great time, but we noticed. One and done.
Beautiful Beach and property. Inside condo not so much. Every single mattress is TERRIBLE. Sinks down and makes horrible sounds with the coils. Seating in living area terrible. Sinks down in the middle. Wouldnâtrecommend for these reason. Condo accommodations are terrible.
The location was excellent and convenient for us. The beach immediately outside the property was very nice. We unfortunately selected a week where they shut down the Lazy River pool for maintenance, so we did not get to enjoy this feature. Additionally, there were other inconveniences such as maintenance needing access to the paint the front door, dryer vent cleaning was scheduled during our stay as well. The unit itself was very nicely arranged, clean, and offered an excellent view. Stocking of items was adequate. There were plenty of plates and there was a good selection of glasses. For a unit this more bowls and serving plates, silverware (woefully inadequate), and other utensils are definitely needed. The lights in the kitchen area flicker, and a the 2 queen beds were uncomfortable, including the pillows. We did encounter black 'dirt' coming out of several of the faucets - the lines need to flushed and the aerators cleaned.
Parking was THE issue we had about our stay. First of all, the information we received told us we would be allowed 2 parking passes and that they were $30 each. We were charged $55 each plus I had to get a third space offsite which was understandable but I paid $75 to park my car in a restaurant parking lot that was not well lit and had no visible oversight of the property. Premier Parking was recommended by VRBO and the Premier Parking app gave us the impression that it was a monitored âparkingâ lot. We were not at all comfortable leaving our car there and weâre not happy that it cost $75. We prepaid and found out when we checked in at Phoenix that we could have gotten it for $35 with The Ruby Slipper. - The second issue was that it felt like VRBO, Alabama Getaways, and Phoenix West werenât on the same page and I wasnât sure who told me what without having to look back over texts and emails from the different sources. We enjoyed the actual condo and our stay but these other issues were very frustrating.
We had 3 families on this trip.
Family 1
Mom, Dad, Son
Family 2
Dad, Son
Family 3
Mom, Son, Daughter
The place was more than large enough for us. The one bedroom is listed as 2 x Queen beds but we believe they were doubles. That said the room with the spare double was nice for anyone not looking to share a bed with their little ones.
The property itself is in my opinion, perfect for a family or anyone with kids. You have the option of the pool, lazy river, water slide, or the gulf, you can't lose. .
Would stay again.

Location is good, but nothing special about the unit
Place could have used a more thorough cleaning prior to arrival. The dishwasher is rusted out and needs to be replaced. The other appliances appear to be original and could use an upgrade as well. Lastly, the provided kitchen supplies are insufficient - but every rental company in Orange Beach does the same thing, so we have come to expect this.
The property is on the beach and has a great sized balcony with a table for eating outside. The property also has good amenities.
We stayed during Mardi Gras and loved every minute of escaping New Orleans for the beach! This condo is beautiful and would be perfect to share with a few people because there is so much room. It is stocked with everything you could need. The location is also perfect. Itâs close to so many restaurants and shops. Our only complaint is that all the mattresses seem to be very old and saggy, so we didnât sleep very well. But other than that, everything was great.
The checkin process is ridiculous just to get a parking pass even though I paid in advance. Suggestion is to just put it in the condo for the person renting. More than half the lamps were unplugged which made it difficult the first night. In the advertising pics, there were loungers on the patio. There were none when we arrived. We counted on laying out on the balcony. There is no light above the dining room table which makes it difficult to eat at night. The lamps had a variety of bulbs which was not pleasing to the eye. Carpet is way past due in getting changed. Our refrigerator had to be wiped out before putting our food in when we arrived. The couches are difficult to sit on and you sink into the cushions. We stay three times a year in OB and love the Phoenix properties. This particular unit needs some work. The rest of the building is great and easy to get around. Suggestion is to get a better cleaning staff if you are going to charge the posted rates. We left the unit very clean so the attendant could see what clean and organized looks like. All of the lamps were in working order when we departed.
