Stay elsewhere, property manager is dishonest
First, I would like to start by saying that there is truth to every single negative review. We read through the negative reviews and ended up choosing this place because we were booking sort of last minute and it was the only place available that fit all of us. The listing has the incorrect info on the amount of people it sleeps, it shows multiple pictures of the same bedrooms. One of the bedrooms on the lower level had a toddler sized bed. Thankfully we were not at the max number of people so it was still fine for us. The cleanliness is subpar at best, there is dirt in every nook and the master shower is moldy. The basement floor was sticky. Another review mentioned ants which the property manager denied, there definitely are large and small ants everywhere. The pots and pans are rusty and gross. the yard is a dirtpit and the deck gave people splinters.
The pool was not clean and freezing cold. The property manager has the worst communication I have seen. I never received check-in instructions and they would not respond to my multiple messages over 3 days, I ended up on the phone with VRBO customer service the entire ride to the location and only after VRBO customer service contacted her did the property manager write back accusing me of never messaging her. It made for a very stressful arrival. When we got there some guy showed up and said he was there to replace mini blinds, we were not told about this and did not feel comfortable letting some strange man into a house full of women and he said he could come back on Sunday when we checked out and we said that was fine. I received a $200 charge 2 weeks after my stay to replace 3 mini blinds. We broke nothing and the blinds throughout the house are cheap plastic $10 blinds. There were no blinds on the master bedroom windows which I assume is what the man came to replace. I messaged the property manager about this and did not get a response so I had to call and spend another hour on the phone with VRBO to open a dispute. We left the house better than we found it, we killed hundreds of ants, started the dishwasher, folded the towels that were in the dryer and started a load of wash to help out the housekeeper. We left all of the floats we used in the pool and paper products we brought with us. This place is expensive and not close to being worth the hassle. The property manager does not respond to any messages once you book and files fraudulent claims against your card.
