The house is amazing, with ample room to fit all your guests! They provided everything we needed for our stay! I would definitely love to come back for a longer period of time!
We faced issues with rest rooms, there was no lock in downstair washroom, and it was not at all clean, The water flow was very very slow. On first floor wash room the flush was not working. We culdnt lock any of the doors. All the beds were shaky and making creaky noise. Suggest to remove all the bunk beds they are verry dangerous, it might fall anytime
Another wonderful year w/our "CORE" group of friends. Pool was wonderful. For the second year, Glenda was responsive and has her people ready to respond to anything may come up!As said, this is an old farmhouse and barn. (our group first started 14yrs ago-camping, so the house was wonderful for us! But we enjoyed the entire property, pool table, pool, grill, front porch, and the large main dining area.
Enough for 15 people plenty of room to move around. Large dining table to accommodate all of us.huge yard the kids could run around. Swimming pool the kids loved
I'm very happy that we found this rental. Was able to fit in 8 of us plus 5 dogs in this house (with the dogs normally being a big issue for other rentals). With 7 bedrooms, everyone had a place to sleep. It's a cozy country house, that fits in perfectly with the location and being up in the mountains. We were 30 minutes from the Gore Ski resort and 15 min from the town with stores, gas station and the usual convenience
This location is rural and fantastic! Large property, very quiet. Service is very spotty, but once you get the wifi code it's manageable. Our only challenge was people coming at different times and communicating with them. Good thing the gps was spot on! The house is large enough to accommodate a huge group, but if you are someone that loves blankets I suggest you bring your own. No extra blankets, just what is on the bed. The beds are made up nicely and most of them are fairly comfortable. No issues from our group. There are a set of stairs that are a little unusual, but there is a front set which most people used. The barn is actually a barn. The floor boards move a little bit and the pool table was slightly off. We had a blast anyway. Such charm. Having the fire in the back was amazing. No light pollution so you could see the night sky nicely. There is a great little farm store down the road that sells and makes maple products.
Overall this was a great place. Just remember it is an older farmhouse with all the quirks of a farmhouse. I would definitely go back again. :)
This house was perfect for our big family ski trip. We traveled with my elderly parents who were thrilled to have a bedroom on the main floor. Upstairs are lots of beds for all the skiers! There is plenty of dining space for everyone to eat. We even brought our dog who was very comfortable here and thoroughly enjoyed walking through the big field. During our stay we attempted to use the grill for hamburgers but couldn't get it to work. Glenda sent someone over that night to look at it and even brought a new grill over the next day. We had a great time and definitely would return again.
We had a group of teenage boys and parents for the weekend, skiiny at Gore Mountain. The house was large enough to fit all of us and provided everything we needed. Glenda was a great communicator and we felt at home at the property. Plus Gore was only 25 minutes away. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
The farm house was nice and clean
Lots of rooms.
We had an issue with the pool and was taking care within 15 minutes of contacting them.
On the minus side the mattresses was not very comfortable, one of the stairs case was very very steep and narrow
And the caveman was disappointing.
Overall good place
We were 15 people who were celebrating our parents 80th.
We did a scavenger hunt in Lake George, had a birthday bbq with other local family. We did some putt putt and lots of swimming in the pool, can jam and spike ball.
We also cruised around looking for swimming holes.
We enjoyed the roominess of the house and the multiple bedrooms. The swimming pool and pool table were hits. There was a plugged up sink, which we reported, and it was taken care of the same day. This was the 3rd time we used this house because of the number of bedrooms and pet policy. (We had 12 people in 3 generations.)
It is a beautiful setting outside with the exception of an old boat and burnt out camper out back. The family had a good time playing in the snow, building forts and a snowman. Unfortunately, inside, dust was in many places but worst was mouse droppings in pots and pans, utensils and dishes, lots of dead flies in ceiling lights, broken window blinds and black mold in bathtubs and behind the toilets. Back stairway light didn't work. Washer/dryer was out of order. A newer washer was placed under a stairwell where we needed to hook up the water and replace leaking hoses. The dryer was on an outside back porch (winter time). Some outlets need replacing. One closet the back wall was wet from a leaky roof making one blanket wet. Beds could be upgraded. The hot water in the main floor bathroom sink would not turn off completely and there is an extra sink in the dinning area that kept dripping the whole time, we texted the owner and with no repair by the owner. A pool table is a good place for a âman caveâ however, the bumpers on all sides are broken so when trying to play, the balls go up and over the edge. How about broken boards in the wall, near the floor. The owner stated that she was also having problems with her phone.
The well appointed house is very nicely decorated and comfortable. There was ample room for our group to sit around the large table for breakfast and late night snacks. It is a short distance to Lake George, Glens Falls and Warrensburg.
