Camps rustiques du Maine à Owls Head, moi!

Le premier camp propose une maison de 2 étages qui au premier étage a une cuisine avec coin repas, un salon spacieux (avec un futon gigogne) qui donne sur l'océan, une salle à manger et une salle de bain. À l'étage, 3 chambres (dont 2 face à l'océan) et une demi-salle de bain, peuvent accueillir 5-7 personnes. Il y a un nouveau plancher de bois franc dans la cuisine qui aide à garder les choses plus propres et plus belles.

Le petit camp offre un porche grillagé où vous pouvez admirer une petite île, profiter de l'odeur de l'eau salée et de l'air frais sans insectes, d'un petit salon, d'une cuisine, d'une salle de bains (avec une nouvelle cabine de douche) , 2 chambres et 5 couchages. Ces camps sont sur une route privée calme où vous êtes à seulement 3 minutes à pied de Crescent Beach et à seulement 5 minutes en voiture de 2 autres plages d'eau salée.

Ce sont des camps assez rustiques. Il n'y a pas de chaleur dans le grand camp et juste un radiateur à rinnai au propane pour enlever le froid dans le petit camp. Nous fournissons des couvertures sur chaque lit avec un supplément au bas de chacun.

These 2 houses are really rustic, as promised. But everything you might need for a large group (we were 13) was stocked there. Extra sheets and pillows, 2 pie pans, 25 dinner plates, well, you get the idea. Nothing fancy, nothing lacking. The view is insane. Cormorants fishing, geese resting, sailboats and, mainly, the tide going in and out, in and out. Mesmerizing. We tried to book for next summer but sadly no room at the inn.

Love This Place

We love this little house and have rented it for a week or two every summer for years. The rustic but very comfortable, house is ocean is so close you can hear the waves, the beach is a short walk away, Rickland and other beaches are a short drive.

Great location

Rustic accommodations as expected, yet comfortable. The location was wonderful for a group of painters, as many painted right from the front yard. We lucked out with fabulous sunny weather, and the cool nights were accompanied by a warm fire.

Rustic Coastal Maine Getaway

My husband and me, our grown kids, their partners and our 15 month old granddaughter stayed at the Rustic Maine Camps in Owl's Head. It was amazing to be 20 feet from the water, and walkable to a sandy beach. Sitting in the yard, looking out to the water and an Osprey nesting island, was so peaceful and relaxing. The neighborhood is too as it's on a dead end street. The house is well equipped, the only things that I'd suggest (and maybe it's already on the list because upgrades have been made) is to have a sink in one of the bathrooms at least. There isn't one in either bathroom in the big house and brushing teeth in the kitchen sink isn't ideal, even for a camper like me. The other thing is that photos showed a firepit in the yard, but it has been removed. Maybe it's an insurance thing, but we all wished we had that. It was nice to be able to have a fire in the living room fireplace! The beds were comfortable, except for the back bedroom. Might be time to replace that mattress. Amber was a great communicator and responded quickly to my texts.

Ideal location

Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Our host was very communicative and went above and beyond in helping us to enjoy our stay. The camp is very rustic but complete with comfortable beds, plenty of linens/blankets and towels. We loved being able to bring our dogs and the short walk to the beach was fun every day. We would love to return in the future!

super cozy hideaway

We loved this seashore nook guarded by the osprey on the small offshore island in front of the cabin. Our professional group used these two cabins to plan a conference and the breezes, tides and seabirds inspired us!

Rustic piece of heaven

Hard to find a place for 6 adults, kids and a dog but this was perfect!!! I only wish I knew there wasnt a vacuum l, would have brought my stick vacuum to keep up with the kids and dog, did lots of sweeping instead but I'm a stickler for leaving every place better than I found it. We love rustic so this fit the bill. Will def be back.

Basic oceanside camp

Ocean is close behind the camp, with a small porch and chairs and also a lawn. Three bedrooms, with fans. No A/C, and fireplace for heat though it works well. Good cooking facilities, along with a grill. Local takeout, especially seafood, is excellent. McCloon's was on a Boston.com list of best lobster roll in New England, and Keag's Store is closer and also excellent. If you're looking for luxury, then stay elsewhere. Has cable and excellent wifi. Clean and functional, would definitely stay again.

Another fantastic vacation in Owl’s Head

Our second visit, and we were so happy to discover so many more cool and interesting things about Owl’s Head and Rockland, and midcoast Maine in general, but perfectly content to just hang out at the cottage and relax and read and do whatever and just be in this beautiful place at the edge of the ocean

Wonderful Ocean Vacation

This was a return stay for our family. We all love the place! It truly is magical. There were some minor internet issues and Amber took care of everything in just a few hrs. She is awesome! The ocean view is breathtaking everyday. The neighborhood is lovely, and the beach is within walking distance. We watched the full moon rise over the ocean while we were there! We couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable experience.

Beautiful location

The camps are in a wonderful location. Beautiful ocean views and a great little neighborhood beach. Beds were comfortable, and the camps had everything we needed for cooking. The camps could definitely use better screens- the mosquitos were challenging at night despite our best efforts to keep them out! It was fun having the second cabin for the teens to enjoy. The cabin and furnishings are older, but everything was very clean and comfortable. Loved it!!

Perfect Rustic Getaway

We wanted a quaint, old fashioned escape from the world on the coast of Maine. That is exactly what we got. The view is perfect and the house is so cute and welcoming - if you like rustic....which we do. Our only problem was lack of the access code to enter the property. And the owner's phone number in the listing was not correct. VRBO customer service was no help - but we managed to contact the property manager through stealthy internet research. We had access to the property within an hour of arrival. The lawn furniture could use updating, but the fireplace was so cozy, the kitchen was well-equipped. The grill was awesome and the beds were comfy. We'd love to return!

Relaxing Vacation

There were 5 of us women who work at an elementary school together. The location was perfect. Private, but just a short walk to a sand beach that by no means was crowded. For us, since we had 2 dogs with us, the beach was a great dog walk experience. The camps are very rustic, but extremely clean. The only complaint we had was that the microwave didn't work. Oh, and in the small camp, we think the monitor was out of fuel but it really wasn't that cold. The small camp had a musty odor that we thought heat would take away, but we opened windows and it got better. We really enjoyed our time and are thinking of coming back next year!

Nearly perfect Maine camp experience

It’s definitely a camp and not a hotel suite; low on amenities but high on charm. We fell in love with this place. The screens need a bit of work, and it definitely needs an outdoor shower, but we can’t wait to go back!

We offer all linens, towels, dishes, and pots and pans. We do provide a few rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 1 paper towel roll on the rack and 1 extra per week of your stay. This house is equipped with cable and hard wired internet. A great benefit to booking with us is that if you book with us you will receive either 3 fresh lobsters or a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant of your choice upon your arrival. You can choose which gift works best for you and your family~ all you have to do is mention this listing when you book your stay!!
