Large and super clean. Theater seats and big screen were great. We had a little raccoon who stood in the yard & visited a few times. We also had a private long driveway with parking for 5. Other than the living room furniture being a bit uncomfortable it was one of the best cabins I've rented in my 40 years of vacationing here. We could have used some directions on how to use the remotes, but we're older.
This place was nice and in a great location. But the small issues we had #1 was the ice maker didnât work by which they came and fixed and the dryer knob was broke which they couldnât fix, but I was able to temporarily fix. The storm doors wouldnât hardly latch. The trash container outside wouldnât hold a lot trash and when I called to ask them to come and dump it they said they would send someone but never did. The process of checking in and out was great. And the people with Summit rentals were nice to deal with. And the only other small thing was that down in the theater room was very musky. But for the price it wasnât to bad. Just wish we didnât have all the little issues that we had but it is okay.
We enjoyed a long weekend at this lovely luxe cabin, using it as a cozy base for days of hiking in the Smokies. The clean and well-equipped house offers everything a multi-generational family could ever want in a mountain retreatâfrom stunning views to plenty of room for big breakfasts, board games, tv, and long talks. Summit staff made check-in easy and communication was terrific. A highly-recommended retreat from the noise and congestion of Gatlinburg.
Great Cabin away from the city, yet close to everything
It was a great cabin for our family. Everyone has their own space, and we could also hang out together. Everything in the cabin was wonderful. My only negative is the loft space was extremely hot during mid day, we didnât feel there were enough vents to cool the area, but we just tried keeping the air circulating with the fans to keep it comfortable. Other than that, it really was a great cabin in a great location.
Our family stayed here over Christmas! Our kids really like the cozy bunkbeds and the movie theater downstairs. We were fortunate to get a white Christmas which made for a magical time up in the mountains. This was a great home to share with our family for Christmas! Thank you
The cabin didnât look like it had actually been cleaned it looked like the previous guests were the ones that cleaned it and someone just came and did laundry. Second the cabin listing states that this is a 4 bedroom 3 bath when it is actually a 3 bedroom 3 bath. The owners put a bunk bed in a storage closet in the basement and called it a bedroom. Also the listing says it is a lot closer to town than it actually is. it is 30 minutes from the strip in pigeon forge without traffic and the listing said it was 6 miles. Over all Iâm just disappointed in the listing itself if the owners were more honest in the listing I probably wouldnât even be leaving a review.
This is a lovely property that could be awesome if it were updated and kept cleaner. The furniture and several appliances are showing their age and are weathered or broken. TV in basement was broken and management refused to repair, leaving no tv for gaming (a huge problem for several of the kids). There were lots of cobwebs in the front windows (inside) as well as hanging off the taxidermy deer and other decorations throughout.
The beds are comfortable, however, this is a two bedroom cabin with an open loft third bed area- not a true three bedroom.
The deck area is very worn with many nail heads sticking up and boards warped. The rails are wobbly and combined with nails sticking up, we were weary of allowing the kids to be out on the decking area. There is plenty of parking area.
Overall we felt the cabin was overpriced when compared to the quality, upkeep, and cleanliness of previous vacation homes weâve rented.
Our family really enjoyed staying here. Very private, tucked in the woods. Our only complaint would be that the game room (basement) is very musty smelling and there is no DVD hooked up to the projection for the home theater. Essentially, you can only watch what is on cable TV.
cabin was beautiful and the cleanest we have ever encountered. perfect for our tweens & teens who enjoyed the game room downstairs. the only downfall was that we couldnt get the hot tub to work. (which was a must for the kids). in the owners defense, we didnt have time to call and get it looked at... too busy for the few days we were there. :)
The Bama Bearâs Den was extremely clean and comfortable. Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay with the kids especially loving the downstairs theatre and game room. We look forward to another stay.
Our party of 10 had a wonderful time at this property. The open floor plan on both the main floor and basement were perfect for a large group. The owners were prompt with communication and questions. We will definitely keep this property in mind for future trips to the area.
This cabin was amazing! The game room down stairs has a projector and screen, surround sound and theater chair seating along with a pool table and foosball table. The hot tub is right outside on the lower deck. The main floor is very accommodating with an open concept kitchen/dining/living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and bunk beds nestled in the hallway in between. The view on this floor through the windows is spectacular. The loft has a lighted staircase up to it with a bedroom and bathroom up there as well. The decks are enjoyable but needs some maintenance on the top deck it seems.. itâs not very sturdy for a mom with three little kids. We had a great time here and would love to stay again!
Our stay was absolutely perfect, the cabin was more than we ever expected, from the cleanliness to the view everything was great. Our family had the best vacation possible thanks to you all. The only thing we would like to see is an updated can opener and newer cook wear. Other than that we were very blessed. We have recommended this cabin to family and friends. We hope to stay there for spring break next year. Thank you
The view is spectacular and the cabin felt so homey and comfortable. Absolutely loved the wrap around balcony and how the sun shines inside the home. We felt very relaxed and peaceful. Will come back again!
We booked this property, which is a little farther out of the way than we would have usually chosen, because we had young adult kids and teens. The game room and large screen seemed perfect. We were not able to use the large screen until the second to last day of our trip due to it not working, which we would have expected to be resolved before we arrived. We called Summit Cabin Rentals to report it not working, and the communication could have been better in regards to the timeline for completing the repair. We spent time trying to find out what was happening with the repair, when we would have preferred to spend time doing other fun things. We were able to use it 2 nights out of the 6 nights we stayed. This was frustrating. Also, the fun pass allowing one person free admission to local activities did not offer options we took advantage of. We were not able to use it at all. The options were geared toward younger families it seemed. In addition to these two things, we lost power due to a storm that rolled in one evening after dark, but could not find a flashlight anywhere. We used our phone flashlights, but phone batteries seemed to drain quickly in this area so this was not ideal. It would have been helpful to have instructions and supplies for instances of power outages. Especially since using the water, and flushing toilets is impacted by a power outage. It felt like issues were dismissed by the rental company staff, while they were friendly, they were not as helpful as other rental companies we have used in the past. I do not think we will use this company for our next trip to the Smokies.
Cabin was nice. We enjoyed our stay. It is the most remote cabin we have stayed in and we frequent Pigeon Forge area. Only downside it would be nice to have shower in all the bathrooms.
