We enjoyed so much about this apartment! There was plenty of space for the two of us in this nicely decorated place. We liked being close by to the castle as well as restaurants and cafes. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted in 20 minutes or less.
Lovely little apartment in an ideal location for exploring Old Town. Excellent restaurants close to hand and a short walk to the promenade. If we returned to Nice we would not hesitate in booking again.
I had a wonderful stay at this property tucked in the heart of old town Nice. It was perfect for my weekend getaway, I loved the easy walkability of the neighborhood, lots of great food options nearby, and close to the rest of Nice while feeling a world away. The host was wonderful and extremely helpful. The property was so cute and cozy, and it had everything I needed.
This wonderful apartment was very well maintained and comfortable for 2 people. You could easily sleep 3. Charm is flowing throughout the entire place. The neighborhood is unbeatable. You step out into what looks like a movie set. It is a 3 minute walk to the daily farmers market and 1 minute walk to the beach. I would not stay anywhere else when I return to Nice. The owners communicate quickly. Overall one of the best locations that Iâve stayed in!
The location of this property is perfect, in the old district named "Le Vieux Nice". It is also central for the transports (tramway and railway station). The flat is comfortable. We advised the manager to put on the heater one night in advance to have the optimum temperature. We were in this flat in february and it was so pleasant to enter this warm apartment at the end of the afternoon after visiting the region. For us it was a very good address ; this is my conclusion
We loved our stay in Linda's home; the property management people were extremely responsive in their communication, and made the checkin/checkout experience very smooth. The home is in a great area, and we were able to easily get around town from the home. I would highly recommend - thanks Linda and all!
The location is great, an easy walk from the bus or tram stop nearby. The fans made the late-July heat bearable. The one thing missing was a way to do my recycling that didn't involve a walk to Victor Hugo (where I knew I'd find bins).
I stayed for a month in this lovely apartment in the heart of old Nice escaping the Canadian winter. The hosts and the property manager were very accessible and helpful. I would definitely recommend it.
We loved the apartment in the old part of Nice. The location was perfect. If you like everything within walking distance, this is a great spot. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make some great meals. We would consider going back.
Great authentic location in the heart of the old town Nice. Little bit loud at times at night, no air conditioning in the summer, might be a bit hot for some people. My partner would have liked a full length mirror. Otherwise a wonderful spot with all the necessities included in the apartment
Check in was easy and we found the apartment as described in the listing. It felt quite spacious and comfortable and was quiet at night. There was always plenty of hot water and all the basics were provided. The washing machine was useful.
We stayed two weeks and would have appreciated a change of towels and bedding at the half way point. We also thought a couple of the pans could do with replacing. However, it was good to be able to cook using some of the excellent local produce available locally.
As others have said, the apartment is ideally situated for visiting all the sights and using the fantastic public transport system in Nice.
We would certainly consider staying there again if we visit Nice in the future.
We stayed at the apartment for four days in July 2023. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but your view will depend on whether you prefer (1) being in the heart of vibrant, lively Nice old town or (2) having a quiet relaxing stay. This is because the apartment is not air-conditioned and we were there during some very hot weather, so that we had to keep the windows open at night. This meant that it could be very noisy. Depends on what you want!!
Communication was very good with both the owner and property manager. The new washing machine didnât work, but they tried to get it fixed. When they couldnât, they gave me a small refund, which was very gracious.
Great shops and restaurants nearby. Minutes from the beach and a close and direct walk to the stairs up to an amazing view over the city and Mediterranean.
Be sure to lower the mosquito screen. I did but it must have snapped open in the night. I had a visit from a pigeon very early in the morning. Thankfully it escaped on its own, though it came very close to getting hit by the ceiling fan. It made for a few frantic moments, but we were wide awake and ready for the day after it left!
Would definitely stay here again.
The location of this tres nicoise 2nd floor walk-up apartment is close to transportation, restaurants, the Cathedral de St. Repartate, the Palais de Justice and the very lively square. It is walking distance to the Promenade de Anglais, which is the walkway along the Mediteranean, with beach access. You can also stroll through the park on the way to Place Massena and Garabaldi Square is quite close. It's a in a great location for exploring Nice and it should be noted that it is on a pedestrian only street, which is important to know if you are ubering from the airport.
The living room has nice windows and there is a couch and chairs to relax in. The kitchen has all one needs for light cooking. The Nespresso maker was very nice. The bathroom has cabinet space for all one's toiletries. The bedroom has a wardrobe with lots of hangers (always a plus!)
We were in Nice during a heat wave and the two standing fans kept us comfortable with the open windows. The only drawback being the open windows at night as it is in a lively area. We used our earplugs and that mitigated the noise enough to sleep.
The host's notebook was very helpful and the dining recommendations very nice. Communication was easy and questions responded to right away.
Staying here was a great choice. We felt immersed in Nice culture. We can't wait to return!
The appartment was perfectly situated just off the main avenue and tram route from the airport inside the old town ,an easy walk from the main tram station.
The appointment is on the 2nd floor with 4 short flights of stairs to climb. You have all the items you need to enjoy your stay laid out in a typical French style although the access to the bath and wc can be a tight squeeze....a comfortable bed and plenty of hanging space .
We did have some noise from building work in the block and the apartment above starting around 8.00 and people returning from the night clubs at 3 .00 so not one for the light sleepers.
Overall if you are looking for a real French experience this is the place for you .
Location was incredible. It was in the heart of Nice. Easy walking distance to every important attraction. The apartment is very old . Bed was very uncomfortable and did not have a top bed sheet . I have been traveling for the past 3 months in Europe by far this apt was not up to my standards.
We have been together over 20 years now and are lucky enough to have a daughter Lucy. We have always enjoyed travelling, and we realised that as parents, the best quality self catering accommodation was for us better than a stay in a hotel. Over the years we have found the best and worst experiences of staying in owners properties and we have drawn on all this history to ensure everyone who stays with us has the best holiday possible.
We love Nice, it is a beach resort but with a vibrant city feel. There is something happening throughout the year in Nice, Carneval, Christmas Markets, Jazz Festivals. There is nothing better than strolling down the Promenade des Anglais on a summer's evening before dining in a fabulous restaurant or shopping in the quaint shops in the Old Town. Santa Lucia is in the very heart of the Old Town but in a lovely, quiet street.
We spent many years searching for the right property in Nice. We immediately fell in love with Santa Lucia and have renovated it but kept the period features - Tomette tiled floors, marble fire place, ceiling fans. It is on the second floor of a traditional Nicois building so not too many steps to climb!
