Loved the spacious villa, superb pool and views. Great welcome pack. Property owner Joe and local manager James very helpful. Good to be back in Peyia area.
Joe was a fantastic host, with great communication before and during our stay at Villa CallistaProperty Manager James popped in to see us on our first day and gave us his Whatsapp number in case of any issues during our stay. The villa itself is a wonderful place, well maintained, modern with everything we needed during our two week stay with a modern fridge freezer, dishwasher, hob, oven and washing machine. The outside space was also fantastic and the pool was amazing!A car would required if you want to venture outside of Peyia with Coral Bay Strip only a 10 min drive away and Paphos Harbour area 35 mins.Overall a fantastic villa David & Linda
Second year I've stayed at this property. Again had a lovely holiday. Location is very quiet and some lovely views of the sea in the distance. Pool is a perfect size for a kids young and old and was a perfect temperature. A real home from home
Booking was simple, communication with host first class, managing agent very helpful. In short couldnât have wished for more.
Villa is a short distance out of town so car essential. 5 minutes to Peyia for superb tavernas and mini market. 10 minutes to Coral Bay for supermarket and everything else you need.
Peyia tavernas cheaper than Coral Bay.
We loved our stay in the villa, it is well stocked in the kitchen. The outside dining area is lovely and great views but the outside dining furniture was very well used and in need of being replaced. The pool is exceptional, a lovely size and all one depth about 5 feet. The villa is about a 30 min walk into the village, if you do not like walking staying in this villa you would probably need to rent a car as there is not much around. We love walking so this was not a problem for us as we walked back up the hill a few times after walking down the hill to the sea caves which are about a 55 min walk down. There is a lovely restaurant at the bottom of the hill again about 35 min walk Anesi Restaurant, the food is gorgeous and the staff are really friendly. There is a bus into Coral Bay from the village, you get it from a bus station which is down the hill from the town hall but is is not very frequent and the timetable is not accurate, I would recommend being in the bus station 10 mins before the time it says.
Over all the property is as described on web site location is very nice, however the next door villa is unoccupied and seems to be falling into disrepair which is a shame.
The Villa is showing signs of its age and could do with a little updating external furniture is also showing its age.
The main bedroomâs double bed is in need of repair or renewal as itâs so noisy for some reason it wakes you up if you move.
During our stay there was a heatwave which did make the villa very hot at night especially in the bedroom, the AC is controlled by timer switches maximum 2 hours and then turns off this can cause the heat to build up in the room very quickly and does require you to manually turn the AC back on from the time switch.
Building work has started within 100 meters works start at 7am everyday with only the weekend with no disruption and the noise can be unbearable at times and dust is a problem.
The owner did communicate that there was construction works near by, however I wasnât expecting it to be a large machine breaking the hill side away.
Overall once all the work is finished for the day it can be a very peaceful location.
Rental car is an absolute due to location.
We have just returned from Villa Callista in Cyprus. The photos do not do this villa any justice. It is simply stunning!! Directions given by Joe ( owner) were easy to follow from Paphos airport and James the property manager popped in to see us and recommended some local eating places. The villa was clean and has everything you need. The pool and the views are amazing. The villa has only one neighbouring villa to the left, however you are not over looked when you are in the pool. You will need to hire a car as you are quite high up the mountain/hill and this villa is a good base for exploring the south west of the island. Pafos zoo is about a 10 min drive and worth a visit. We also did a boat trip to the blue lagoon, which I can highly recommend. My teenagers loved Coral bay strip which is about 5 mins in the car, with the restaurants and shopping. The temperature was about 32 in the afternoons, and nothing better than chilling in the pool. If you have any horse lovers, we had a visit one morning from a horse outside the villa and my daughter went on a hack to the sea caves with the local stables, again about 5 mins drive from the villa.
We are already looking into coming again to Villa Callista in the next couple of years. If you want stunning views, a quiet location with huge swimming pool then this villa is a must.
Really nice house. Especially outside. Enough sunbeds and the heated pool is very nice. We were there in April and you need it when you want to swim.Inside also okay. you can use a switch to
The house and pool are huge ! Lovely and clean. Really enjoyed our stay here. Great welcome pack with good quality products was a nice touch. The property agent was also great and had some great tips for things to do. Pool was cleans a number of times during our stay. It was so clean
villa is lovely ,pool is fab ,quiet location giving a lot of privacy, james was on hand for any questions and offerd a quick response,if came again would definitely stay here, loved it,highly recommend it
More isolated than we expected, but that added to the privacy. Building works near the property that we werenât expecting which at times was quite noisy.
Facilities were great, everything you would hope for.
Had a great stay
Very impressed with this villa as when we arrived was supremely clean.Pool is a great size with a beautiful sea view.Hardly any noise at all.set up inside is perfect for a family with a nice table and sofas and a good size TV.not far from the supermarket and local town.had a great holiday and would not hesitate to return.
We stayed for 10 nights in this fabulous villa. We enjoyed the heated pool and the gorgeous view. It's a very quiet place with maximum privacy. The only thing we think needs improvement is the cooking equipment. Those cheap utensils make cooking and baking a challenge. The rest is worth a five star rating. Thank you Joseph and James
Fantastic home, wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Perfect if like us you enjoy views and peace. House very well equipped and helpful owner backed up by very capable local property manager.
Nothing really walkable from the house but we had 2 cars and 3 drivers so worked very well for us.
The villa was spectacular . Very clean and spotless . A lovely welcome food pack on arrival with a few basics to get you through . James who looks after the property was so helpful which made the stay even easier . Would love to stay again soon
If you want easy access to everything and are happy with a short drive / cab journey this is the most wonderful hideaway with awesome views. We adored this place and would happily stay again. Cab to Coral Bay ÂŁ12 euros each way. Literally hundreds of restaurants to eat out at across Peyia village / Coral Bay and Paphos. We did parasending in harbour by Annabel Hotel, had a fun Greek night out eating and dancing at the Coral King in Coral Bay, we went up into the Troodos Mountains and visited Aphrodites Rock .... oh and lots more. The villa has a great pool with same depth all the way. Not over-looked at all. One immediate neighbour who were in their villa but we hardly knew they were there! There are 4 other villas but only one completed and occupied from time to time. These arenât very close to Csllista which is at the end of the tiny âdead end roadâ. The villa is beautifully kitted out for all your needs, we only cooked a couple of times as the villa had such good access to restaurants by car. Worth visiting the ship wreck at sunset and Lara Bay too! The list of âto doâ things is endless! Thank you Joseph and James. A beautiful villa and we come home with a piece of our hearts still in Cyprus.
Villa Callista is a beautiful villa. The property is well maintained with excellent facilities and in a very quiet location in Peyia overlooking Coral Bay / Seacaves from the hilltops with only one neighbouring property (empty while we were there) and visiting goats on several mornings which was an enjoyable watch as they meandered past.
There were 5 adults and 1 toddler in our party staying in the villa and we all had a fabulous time. The pool is much bigger than you would normally expect to find at a villa, but is the same depth all over so perfectly safe for the non-swimmers in our party. Our GrandDaughter (aged 2) had no problem in getting into the pool using the roman steps at the end which were fantastic for her as she loved playing on them with her bucket and watering can. Although she cannot swim yet, she had a lifejacket to wear in the pool which gave her so much confidence and she was soon jumping in and out.
A welcome pack with bread / milk / tea / coffee / beer/ water etc had been left for us on arrival which was a lovely touch and meant we could unpack fully without having to rush out to the supermarket to make a drink.
We cannot fault the villa in anyway, we had a few issues during our stay, but James was on hand straight away and these were dealt with promptly. We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Callista as we have been holiday in this area of Cyprus for pretty much the last 10 years and this is the only property we have ever stayed in that we would definitely wish to return to.
Many thanks for the use of your beautiful home.
Kind regards
Mandy & Paul Edmonds and family
If you want a quiet holiday this is the place to come
You can walk into Peyia it takes only 20mins plenty cafes and bars shops etc if your planing to go further a car is essential
Fabulous Villa with incredible 180° seaview and great pool
We - two families with two 10-year-old children - spent wonderful 10 days in late October in and around Villa Callista and enjoyed every single day.
The villa is in immaculate conditon offering everything you would need for great holidays. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms, kitchen and everything else is clean and tidy and well equipped with enough space for everyone and everything. All the aplliances work properly and are well maintained.
The most memorable and outstanding features surely are the beautiful (at least) 180° seaviews and most certainly the large 10 x 5 m overflow pool. The pool heating in combination with the brand new pool cover is excellent and kept the water at wonderful 29 °C which was a real joy and definetely worth the extra charge.
The plot is located in a very quite area at the western edge of Peyia with just two more inhabited villas near Villa Callista. The garden offers plenty of sunloungers and more then enough garden furniture for outside meals. We offen used the charcoal BBQ in the evenings and enjoyed the one or the other Sundowner on the terrace.
The communication with the owner Joe was very nice and the provided informations like the directions etc. were very helpful and accurate. A very warm thank you also goes to the property manager James who is 100% reliable and pleasant. We appreciated the welcome pack as well as the late check out very much.
We can truly recommend Villa Callista and hope to return some day.
Had a wonderful week here with our two teenagers. We felt very looked after right from the start, Joe emailed arrival info and the directions to the villa were spot on (even arriving in the dark). Arrived to a welcome pack of staples, which tided us over until we went shopping. You do need a car to make the most of the amazing location which is about a 10 min drive to the coast. Villa had everything we needed, very well equipped for cooking etc
The views from the villa are incredible, esp from the front bedrooms. Lovely clean pool, and plenty of chairs and sun loungers around for relaxing. The BBQ was great fun.
Must give a special mention to James, the maintenance chap, he looked after us fantastically, we had to call him to look at the pool and he was there almost immediately, and even offered to take our rubbish away for us. The only 'disturbance' all week was a herd of goats walking past ringing their bells.
To summarise, gorgeous, clean, well equipped villa. Amazing views and sunsets in a v tranquil setting. Didn't want to leave!
Thank you for a fab holiday!
We had a fabulous holiday at the stunning villa callista, there were three couples and we found the villa very spacious inside and outside so you didn't feel on top of one another. The property was very clean and maintained to a very high standard. Great bbq and patio areas and the pool is divine. We had a lovely relaxing holiday as it was so peaceful with fabulous views. You do need a car but it doesn't take long to get to the nearest village or the variety of restaurants there is to choose from. We tried to find fault but we couldn't and would definitely go again, cant wait.
We've just returned from a fantastic two week holiday in Villa Callista, its a superb well sized modern air conditioned property with terrific views across the fields to the sea, marvellous when eating your breakfast on the patio. James from the local management team is full of good information (and stories of his adventures :-) ) and couldn't be more helpful. The entertainment system was mastered by the children in about 5 mins and with box sets and the latest films was a good distraction to keep them out of the midday sun and keep them (and us) entertained in the late evening.
A car however is essential, the nearest village, Peyia, is 2km away, up and down small winding roads, but contact the owner for a good deal on local car hire, which will also give you the opportunity to explore further afield.
If you enjoy peace and quiet, with the only sounds in the warm sunshine, being the gentle flow of swimming pool water and the occasional clanging of goat bells then this is definitely for you... and for us we cant wait to go back next year.
Villa Callista is stunning with a 5m x 10m infinity pool which is always clean and kept so by James who lives locally and is on hand for help and advice.
Joe, the owner, describes the villa as built to a high standard , in fact it is built and fitted out to an exceptional standard with everything one needs for a perfect holiday.
The location provides all round views , to the east are mountains and to the south and west the sea. The only sounds generally are of the birds and the passing goats.
A car is essential to visit Peyia village, Coral BAy and the rest of south Cyprus.
My wife and I and adult daughter had agreat holiday and we must thank Joe for allowing us to rent his luxury villa, for providing clear directions from Paphos airport and for help in finalising the booking.

Hi, I am a semi-retired property developer, local magistrate and volunteer adviser for the Citizens Advice Bureau.
We have owned Villa Callista from when it was built - my partner and I played a big part in design and construction. We are very happy with the finished product and hope that you will be too!
Villa Callista is in the perfect location - between Peyia Village and Coral Bay - not too close to the hustle and bustle, but near enough for easy access.
