Le comté de Currituck a mis en place un système de permis de stationnement pour la plage de Carova. Les permis ne sont pas obligés de conduire sur la plage pour accéder à la maison, mais ils sont nécessaires si vous prévoyez de vous garer sur le rivage pour utiliser la plage entre le 24 mai et le 2 septembre. Les permis ne peuvent être achetés qu'au centre d'accueil Currituck Mainland ou au centre d'accueil Corolla. 50 $ / permis.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location-could easily walk to the beach. Loved seeing the wild horses everyday! The house had everything we needed, but could use an upgrade in cooking pots/pans. The locks were very hard to get in/out, but the owners left a great Manila that included directions to everything. A good deep cleaning is needed. Many surfaces were very dusty and black out curtains would be nice!

Great family time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time during our one-week stay in August! Awesome house! Only complaint was the fire alarm did go off once during the early morning, but if we had read the extensive literature provided on the house we would have know an alarm was possible due to humidity, etc. We thought being 7 miles up the beach would be an issue when going into town, but it took less than 1/2 hour to drive it and to be honest it was fun driving on the beach anyway. Word of caution - - when driving on the beach at night (which is awesome), be on the lookout for a stray wild horse or two - - had we not being going slow we could have plowed right into one one night!

Family trip to the 4x4

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to the 4x4 and it was amazing. We cannot wait to come back. Our group was 8 adults and 7 young children. The layout of the house was perfect for everyone to gather on the top floor, or spread out and have some privacy amongst the many bedrooms/living areas. The location made for easy access to the beach, and the pool was a great alternative for afternoon/evening swims. The drive down the beach was just far enough to be away from the crowds, but close enough to head into town for mini golf, ice cream and groceries. The "4x4 Ice" man Tom was also extremely helpfull, and kept our coolers stocked with ice all week long. Overall the property was spotless and was equipped with every kitchen item/small appliance you'd need. The owner called part way through our stay to check in and was able to handle our very minor concerns quickly. We have already recommended the area and the property to anyone that will listen and are very much looking forward to booking our next stay as well.

Our stay at Time Fades away

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was fine, what transpired after was not. Your "lost" and found policy is horrible. We called about a wallet left in a specific drawer and a good pool stick left downstairs in a case, neither was "lost" we knew right where they were left and told the lady who answered the phone at Beach Realty that. She said we had to fill out a stupid lost and found ticket. Nothing was lost again. All it would have taken was a quick call to the cleaning company to let them ask the cleaner to look for us and that did not happen. So...nothing was ever "found" because it wasn't lost. Either the cleaner or the next renter stole them. We will never rent from Beach Realy again and have spread the word about your horrible lost and found policy and procedure.

Plenty of space to get away from your party and relax alone if needed. Plenty of bathrooms. We had horses on the property everyday. We even had 3 under the carport taking shelter from the rain. The ocean view was awesome because there was only one house obstructing the view.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very happy with this beautiful home and views of the beach. The home is in close proximity to the beach, you can walk or drive. We saw the horses daily. The sunrise and sunset from the hot tub were gorgeous. The home was very clean and had everything you could need in the kitchen, as we chose to only travel out once to eat and shop. The rest of our time was spent at the beach fishing and swimming or at the home in the pool and hot tub.

Most Relaxed Vacation Ever!

Everyone had enough space to themselves as well as a great space to dine, hang out, play games etc.. The hardest decision each day was Beach or Pool(lol) The wild horses were right outside our bedroom window each morning. We have never stayed on the 4X4 beach but we would definitely come back.

Great relaxing time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice stay even with the problems we had.1. No water on Sunday July 11, it took numerous calls to get someone to look at the problem. It was fixed but it was difficult with 10 people to spend the day without any water!2. Washing machine was not working correctly. Again it took numerous calls to have someone look at it. It was never fixed during our stay. To do laundry we could only use hot water and that meant the rinse cycle would not work because it only uses warm or cold water. It was quite a process do get a load of laundry done! 3. Also the house could not be totally locked. Two of the deck doors on the third floor could not lock properly. They were left unlocked during our stay which was worrisome especially when we were not there.4. We did report the broken locks and the torn screen on the screened in porch. 5. For the amount of money we paid for the week I expected water, a workable washing machine and to have the ability to lock the house!6. We did enjoy the beach, pool and seeing all the horses.7. It was very nice of the property owner to give us a call while we were there.

Great home and location... 4x4 vehicle is a absolute must and make sure it has some ground clearance. Follow the rules of the beach driving. This home is almost 7 miles from a paved road. But the home was wonderful. Even with Tropical storm rolling though we were able to enjoy the home with quality family time.

Great Vacation Overall

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time! We would definitely come back to the 4x4 beaches... The location of the house is unbeatable to the beach. We loved the top deck, screened in porch, hot tub, & the indoor/outdoor speakers system. Most of there rooms have there own deck & we were greeted by wild horses every single day! The house could use some general up keep & maintenance; as certain things like loose door handles, broken window/door locks, and some loose outside steps outside coming up. The hot-tub only had one set of working jets; they came to service mid week but it was not fixed. However, the house was impeccably clean upon arrival & was even ready before our promised check in time. We would 100% recommend to fiends & family to spend there OBX Vacation here :)

It was an easy walk to the beach. Loved the pool and hot tub. The owners were so accommodating. We had an issue with the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and the owners answered when we called them at 2am! It was just such an enjoyable week!

Time Fades Away

This is a beautiful home in an unbelievable location. The check in process was spotty. We never received a text telling us the home was ready so we went in hoping for the best. Also it would have been nice to know how well stocked the kitchen is with appliances, utensils, etc. The rental company had almost zero knowledge when questions were asked. Two maintenance items need to be addressed: 1) the clothes dryer takes forever to dry clothing it it drys them at all. We actually had to Ben g a bag of damp clothes home after 3 hours of drying. And yes, the filter was cleaned and the dryer was set properly. 2) one set of hot tub jets don’t work—no biggie but nice to know ahead. The owners (the Bradley’s) called twice to help with a minor issue and seem to really care about their home and renters. Would like to go back k in the future when it’s warmer and be able to use the pool.

Our Stay

We had previously stayed at this property in June with family and decided to stay again for our 30th anniversary. We really like this home. The only issue we had was the smell of smoke. This is a smoke free home but we smelled smoke in the upper two levels with the top level being the most smell. I called management and let them know. They told me they would turn it into maintenance. I"m not sure if this was done or not due to us not being there during the day. It still smelled at times of smoke. We do not smoke, so this was disappointing. Overall, we had a great trip and would definitely stay again.
