The beach is close enough to walk to. You can literally sit on the couch and watch the waves on the beach. Wild horses were regular visitors in the area. It was a great place for our family vacation.

Home and location were top notch! It was nice to be able to access the beach without having to drive. Please note grill is charcoal, not propane. Knowing this would have been helpful before arriving at the home. For the price it would be nice to have better quality sheets (100% cotton) than polyester and not have bleach spots all over them.

The house was clean with plenty of space for our family of 8. It is a little weather worn but to be expected with location. I would not recommend the house if you are looking for a place for young children to play on the beach. There is plenty of beach space but only if you aren't considering the auto traffic. However this was our first trip to Corolla and the Nor'easter was just off the coast. That may be the reason for the tide being high at our location all of the time. There are great views of the ocean from this house with a very tranquil vibe

I do have plans next spring to put in a new grill, would love to hear what other concerns you had that made the home weatherworn if you have the time. I will say that time of year does see higher tides especially during a storm and sand dunes may pile up overnight. During the summer the beach is wide and people tailgate on the beach but the beach traffic can be intimidating. I agree the house itself is not one I would recommend to younger children especially due to the amount of stairs and railings. Despite indicating it is not ideal for toddlers, many families do make the choice to visit at which point I advise them to be very diligent in watching around these safety concerns. Thanks for taking the time to post a review and I do so love to release tension there by slowly drinking coffee and watch the waves roll in!

The house was perfect with plenty of room for our 3 families of 10. Plenty of deck and chairs for everyone to hang out in the evenings after being at the beach all day. It was super easy just being able to keep all of our beach stuff in the truck each night for the short drive to the beach. The house is very close to the beach making it very easy walk back to grab a snack or a drink.

Just as described!!! Views were incredible. Horses just outside the back deck! House was super clean and comfortable. Owners were super responsive!! The distance to the paved road was just perfect. Highly recommend!!

We love this house. It is very clean and well kept. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are spotless. The owners are helpful and terrific communicators. The upstairs has an upstairs has an open floor plan for socialization when you have a group. The view of the ocean is gorgeous with beautiful sunrises. A great ocean front place.

Beautiful home with a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy spending time with family! The view from every room was amazing! We loved walking through the "neighborhood" and seeing the wild horses - we saw them every day we were there.
