The location was perfect for getting to the promenade quick, access to restaurants, etc. The only downfall which other reviews mentioned was the noise. I can be quite loud at night and sometimes until 2am or later. The owner does provide earplugs.

Elegant, bright and spacious apartment, balancing contemporary features with old world charm. Huge French windows overlook a bustling pedestrian street. Minutes away from exceptional restaurants, the daily outdoor market, beach clubs and the sea. Perfect layout for our family, offering privacy and an expansive area that includes the modern kitchen, living room and dining area. Will definitely rent again!

Overall, this is an excellent property. The location is tough to beat, both the owner and property manager were exceptionally proactive and responsive, and the apartment itself is both comfortable and well-equipped. Our only complaint is the noise. Every night, revelers were whooping it up until 3-4-5am, and even the double pane windows and ear plugs did little to block it out. But that's the only issue. If you know about that potential inconvenience going in, you're up for a wonderful stay!

The property was very comfortable and spacious for 6 adults (3 couples). Markets, restaurants, the beach, and other main areas were very close to the apt. It was easy to walk to many areas.

Old Town Nice

The apartment was in a great location! Very spacious for our group of 6 to gather in the evening ! Air conditioning in every room was appreciated during the hot weather we endured. We had an issue with one set of keys, which was resolved Promptly.

Memories are forever!

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was all we could have hoped for and more. Located perfectly to get a flavour of the Nicoise lifestyle and have the tourist experience as well. Karine is a gem....helpful and gives great advice. Her enthusiasm for Nice and her property is contagious. I am forever grateful to her for helping me plan and execute a fantastic family vacation. We would most definitely recommend staying here.

Great choice in old Nice

Beautiful stylishly renovated apartment in a great location, stocked with amenities, plentiful towels, very comfortable beds and pillows. The three bathrooms were great, two were walk in showers, one a bath and shower. Just note the elevator is on the first floor and there are a lot of steps up from the ground floor. The apartment manager was terrific, responded immediately to any concerns.

Beautiful spacious apartment in Old Town Nice

We had a wonderful stay at Karine's spacious apartment. It was perfect for our family of 5. It was great to have 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and air conditioning. It's looks just like it does in the photos. Sara Jane was lovely and showed us all the features of the apartment. There are many great restaurants and markets very close by, but it was also nice to have dinner as a family at the large table. It really made it feel like home.

Great location in old town Nice.walking distance to beach, bars, and restaurants. Well appointed apartment. Comfortable beds. Comfortable furniture. There are one floor of stairs that was not disclosed. The elevator in the listing goes from first floor up. Also, there are three Irish pubs very close to the unit which are very loud until at least 1 or 2 in the morning. Again, not disclosed. Ear plugs were provided.

There are everything. I cooked about twice a day. We could use washing machine and microwave and oven. The laundry is also comfortable. It's spacious and beautiful. Karine and Sara are very kind! We had a lot of support. This area was good place, safe and convenient. When I was confused with riding on the train or bus, Nice people taught me gently! People's hearts and scenery were beautiful and I was very moved!

Your home while visiting Nice

We loved staying at this house. It is spacious, clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The AC worked very well, and the beds were comfortable. The house is well appointed and taken care of, we had zero problems. You can't go wrong with the location, you are in the middle of everything you need to see or experience in Nice. We walked around to everything, an exceptional list of options for dining within 5 minute walks from the house. Karine's suggestions and recommendations are spot on. She very helpful and responds to your inquiries within minutes.

This apartment is in a wonderful location in old town. Perfect for walking and enjoying what I think is the best area of Nice. The unit is kept up beautifully. Very clean and managed perfectly. A great place to rent if you are headed to Nice. One factor that must be considered is the proximity to a music bar about three doors down. Prepare yourself for loud conversations, screaming and noise until around 2 AM every night. The sound can be heard quite extensively in the main bedroom. Very difficult to sleep. Outside of that its a great place.

Experience the beauty of Vieux Nice at Le 17

This magnificent and comfortable property is located in the heart of the old town and is in turnkey condition with all modern conveniences. Every possible requirement has been anticipated and provided by the host. Communications with host was also excellent. It should be noted, however, that while the property has an elevator, one must walk to the first floor (two flights of stairs) to access this. This may affect guests with mobility issues. Also, there are 3/4 bars close by, some of which open until 2/3 a.m. This can be quite noisy esp. on weekend nights. The check-out time of 10 a.m. is a little too early for comfort; however, the host is agreeable to a later check-out provided there is not a same-day changeover of guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and send warm regards to our wonderful host, Karine.

In the heart of Old Nice

We spent 2 weeks at No. 17 in the heart of the Veille Ville and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were three couples and appreciated the three bedrooms and three bathrooms (hard to find). We wanted to be able to walk everywhere and the location could not have been more convenient. The apartment was impeccably clean and well stocked. I will say one of the bedrooms (the one with twin beds) was smaller than the others, with minimal storage, and the bathroom for that bedroom was in the common hallway. It might have been more appropriate for kids than an adult couple, but it worked. The other two bedrooms, one a master with queen sized bed, and the other with king bed at the back of the apartment with large bathroom next door, were great. The owner Karine was very responsive by email on VRBO, and the check-in process went smoothly. We were met by the manager Sarah Jane, who was very helpful and gave us lots of recommendations. We had our bakery, pasta shop and favorite coffee shops. By the end of our trip we felt like locals! Others have mentioned the noise. The apartment is on a street with three very noisy bars that do not close until 3 am, and whose patrons spill into the street shouting and singing. Closing the windows and turning on the AC or a fan help a lot, and ear plugs are supplied for any excess noise. It was the price to pay for a great location. A couple of small issues (a power failure and hot water heater reset) were dealt with immediately by Sarah Jane. A great stay!

A spectacular apartment

All of the rave reviews you have read about this beautiful apartment are true so I will not bore you and duplicate them. This was our third time visiting Nice and the very best stay yet. My husband and I are no strangers to VRBO rentals in Europe and 17 Place de la Promenade surpasses them all! We were joined by two other couples and we had the privilege of enjoying Karine’s lovely apartment and all agreed we would return in a heartbeat. You will see and feel her sense of style and concern for her guests’ comfort as soon as you open the door. This apartment will help you fulfill your fantasy of being able to experience the life that the Nicoise have even if only for a short time and if you are not familiar with Nice, look no further for the perfect location for narrow walking streets, transportation, small interesting shops, wonderful restaurants and the Promenade Anglaise running alongside the beach. Karine and her property managers are very responsive to communication from clients which gives you a strong sense of confidence in choosing this apartment to rent. You will be provided with all you need to familiarize yourself with the apartment and the surrounding area. Karine, we thank you for a lovely week in a most wonderful city and will be planning a return visit.

Our October Stay In Old Town Nice

This is a nice apartment in the old town if you don’t mind some party noise and Smokey smells from the bars on the street below. Closing the windows doesn’t really help. The owners kindly left out ear plugs for us. The kitchen has been modernised which looks good but we didn’t use it as there are so many restaurants locally. It was nice to be able to do laundry during our stay. THINGS NOT SO GREAT The elevator wasn’t working for most of our stay and is only accessible above the ground level, which we were aware of. But when it isn’t working you are walking up at least 20 stairs to the apartment. This was not so good for our 2 yo granddaughter or our 75 year old selves. The AC unit in one room dripped water all over the floor so we did not use it, It is an old building and so some grace must be given to the state of the apartment but it definitely needs a deep clean. The floors were quite disgusting that actually made our barefeet dirty. The curtains that didn’t close properly smelled musty and had stains as did many of the bed throws. The bathrooms had mold on the ceilings and the sink which can’t be good for your health. We organized and paid a high price for a mid week cleaning. However totally disappointed. Only a few beds had been changed and a couple of towels. Floors and surfaces not cleaned no rubbish taken out. Poor job and the management did not deal with this appropriately. Sad to have to be negative as it is a great location for exploring the old town

Lovely flat in a great location

Lovely apartment in the old town Nice. Very central for everything. The only problem was one of the showers was flooding onto the floor of the bathroom. I informed the owner and the manager but didn't hear back from them.

Le four ne fonctionnait pas, l’installation Ă  dijonctĂ©, un sĂšche cheveux Ă  grillé lun des toilettes fuyait. Notre sĂ©jour s’est pour autant bien dĂ©roulĂ©. Petit bĂ©mol le quartier est trĂšs animĂ© et donc pas mal de bruit une grande partie de la nuit. Sinon super endroit dans l’un des plus jolis quartiers de la vieille ville

Joli décoration, Idéalement situé

L'appartement est situé dans le vieux Nice à deux pas du marché aux fleurs et de tous les commerces de bouche typiques de Nice. L'appartement est confortable et joliment décoré, la literie de bonne qualité et la cuisine bien équipée. La propriétaire est à l'écoute et de bon conseil pour tout type de demande. L'appartement était calme lors de notre séjour sachant que tous les restaurants et bars étaient fermés en raison du couvre feu.

Il est joliment dĂ©corĂ© et amĂ©nagĂ©. Il est spacieux et trĂšs bien placĂ© dans le vieux nice. La litterie est extrĂȘmement confortable. Je recommande cette location

Excellente prestation

Nous avons séjourné dans ce superbe appartement en plein centre de Nice. La prestation était exceptionnelle, un intérieur trÚs raffiné et une vraie douceur de vivre.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We are very privileged to be living abroad, immersing ourselves in new cultures, but we will eventually settle in Nice one day. We have literally fallen in love with the Old Town, the beauty of the place and the relax vibe of this historical district. We love being able to do everything and go everywhere by foot, forgetting the car and slowing down the pace of life for a little while. Isn't it what holidays are about?

My personal routine starts with a jog on the promenade des anglais early in the morning followed by a café at a terrace on the cours Saleya. I then bring back fresh bread for the rest of the family together with flowers and fruits from the market. I couldn't think of a better way to start my day.
My husband's favourite tends to be the other end of the day, a glass of wine in hand as the sun sets on Nice. La dolce vita !
